CVS Weekly 4/26-5/2

Thanks Flaky!!

So it looks like I have to get Garnier and Rimmel mascara (using the coupon from April All You magazine). It's sure hard to get back in shopping mode after being on vacation!

My Rimmel coupon is B1G1 for Rimmel nailpolish. Do others have one that indicates Rimmel mascara?

Welcome Back!!! Did you have a nice trip? I hope it was better than the last one. ;)

We were all worried about you  I am glad you were just on vacation:dance3:I hope you had a good time. I miss your deals :lovestruc

Thanks  I had been in pretty bad shape for the month leading up to leaving, but now I am feeling good.

There was a coupon in the April All You Magazine for a free tube of Sexy Curves mascara. I don't know if CVS sells that type, but I'm going to try to use it with the BOGO sale this week. It says "available at Walmart" or something like that, but other sites verified with the mfg. that it can be used anywhere.

Thanks - it was much better than the last one! We had great weather every day except the last day, it was colder in San Diego the last two days than it was in Minnesota lol We went to the Califa wine valley outside of Ensenada Mexico for a day and it was beautiful - like a whole other world in the middle of nowhere. Also went to Catalina Island as my mom has wanted to go there since the 1950's.

There is also a 1 dollar coupon in the Kmart Spring Savings booklet that is off any Rimmel product. I did notice that there are some mascara's that are running about 3.49 a tube, so buy two, use two of the 1 coupons and get the second free should bring both to about 1.49 + tax. While not a super great deal, I have three teen girls in the house. Any savings in this category is huge for me!

HTH,
Kelly

I went tonight and had possibly my best ever CVS night... My original total was $90.xx... my oop was $1.36 :-)

I did the Bayer (and used a $2 coupon) did three mini Tresseme hairsprays (used three $1 coupons) three full size Tresseme styling products (used three $1 coupons) Lumene wipes (used $5 CRT) two got2b products (used two $2 coupons) 4 pack of $0.99 nuts (used 2 $2 nuts CRTs) a garnier (no coupons sadly) five ROC face wash (used 5 $3 coupons) two clearanced lglasses wipes $1 (no coupon) and the Charmin (no coupon) .... I also had a $10 off $50... My after coupon total was $30.xx I had two $10 CRTs and a moneycard for $7.xx... I was pretty pleased... I also got a $10 ECB for Tresseme, a $2 bayer, $2 Garnier, and a $2 charmin.... I also have to get $10.05 more of ROC to get the $10 ecb (the store only had 5 face washes)

I'm a little burnt out, from now on I'm only going to get stuff that's either a really good deal or that we use... OR I'm going to have to make more stash room..... I do plan on going tomorrow to get more facewashes and a garnier on my sister's card (I have an up and coming preteen, I think I need to prestock facewash and shampoo)

I also need paper plates and napkins and batteries, but just didn't feel like getting that stuff tonight

I ran by today to get the shaving cream and toothpaste for this week as I had not had a chance before today. Walked in the store and got very excited because they recently put in a scanner. :cool1::cool1: I of course ran my card and got some pretty good coupons. Very exciting!!!!

I will be going back tomorrow after church to start on the things for this week and will be scanning my card again. :goodvibes

Robin....looks like you had an AWESOME night...way to go!

I love when I go to CVS to buy a specific item and then find out it has ECBs with it and I didn't even know it.

I needed 8 packs of mentos gum that I will be putting labels on and using as a small gift. I was going to do personalized candybars but since I had several $1.00 and $.55 coupons I went with the mentos gum. I went to grab them from the front counter and low and behold their was a sticker that said $1 ECB/3....and I had no idea. Very exciting!!! :cool1::cool1:

WE WERE WORRIED!:worried::(

Glad your vacation was good! ;) Glad you're back CVSing. :teacher:

I need paper towels so first thing in the a.m. I'm going to get the Bounty. that's going to be my big excitement!:yay:

That and today I booked a stay at OKW for July! YAAYAYAYAYAY!:beach:

Thanks for posting this. I don't get the CVS ad until I buy the Sunday paper and I do like to make my shopping list and have my coupons sorted before I go to town! I could read the ad on line but then I have to kick DD off the computer!

My niece is visiting me this weekend and she took a couple of the Tressemme's from last week off my hands so I guess I'll have to do the Garnier. I think I have more shampoo than conditioner so I'll pick up one of those. And I actually need paper towels!

LOL - I think the OKW trip is way more exciting than Bounty!

Just curious but when do your stores post the shelf tags on the items that go on sale and give ECBs that start on Sunday?

A couple weeks ago my local store waited until Wednesday, last week they never did put up the shelf tags and today (Sunday) the tags yet again were not up. It would be so much easier if they had put the tags up on the Aveeno products that are included in the ECB deal. My first transaction doing that deal I had an item that wasn't included. I know I can take it back but still the hassle could have been avoided!

Mine do it Sat night.... That's how I can tell the sale is on... Also last night they had already replaced last weeks ads with the new ones... I try to keep a copy of the ads with me (at least the past week) if I'm planning to combine weeks

I guess we're pretty lucky from what you're saying. Here it kind of depends on the store. There is one store that sometimes has the new shelf tags up by noon on Sat. but that's not always the case because one week I was there at about 4 PM and they still weren't up. Most of the other stores in the metro area have them up by early evening on Sat. and always by Sunday morning. I think they're being pretty unfair to shoppers to do what they're doing at your store. It's got to be really frustrating. :sad2:

How fun!!! We love OKW - the 1 bedrooms there are HUGE!

What part of July are you guys going? We have airfare for my 40th bday in August but only have 7 points left for the year with none available to borrow. As much as I want to go to WDW I just can't fathom paying for accomodations!

Are there any IPs out there for Windex wipes? I used all of my Palmolive coupons last nite and still need to spend about $8 to finish up that deal. We are stocked on Pledge so really the only other thing we could use are the Windex wipes.

Just back from our weekly Commissary run. I have never had a cart overflowing like I did this week. I had a stack of coupons and saved 56%! Started at $228 then ended at $101 after coupons. :woohoo:

I know sometimes the stores don't get the tags in at all - or at least that is what a cashier at one of our stores told me one time when there were still no tags up halfway thru the week.

We stopped by CVS about 8pm last nite and the tags were not up but the sale was in the system.

When an item is listed as 2 for $x.xx must you buy two to get the sale price at CVS? At some stores you don't have to. I wasn't sure what CVS's policy is.

I went out today for the All deal. This was a good bargain for me. We only use All Free and Clear due to my sons' excema. With BOGO and some printables I had, as well as $10 ECB from the Tresemme deal it worked out great!

I think that at the CVS'es here each item rings up seperately. For example when the Tresseme was 3 for $10 each bottle rang up $3.34. The B1G1 doesn't ring like that though, each rings up original price and then the register takes the second one off when you scan your card. It has to do with the inventory system each store keeps. At Publix if they run a B1G1 each rings up at half price, but I've not found that the case at CVS.

Okay, I have to remember to never again go to my CVS on Sundays. :headache: I used to always go on Mondays, but at times I'd deal with limited selections and a nearly expired coupon, so thought Sunday would be better.

Uhhh...no. FWIW: I read on another website that there've been a lot of various probs for people at CVS with some of the deals. I should have listened and stayed home for one more day. ;)

This now makes the third Sunday in a row I've gone and it has gotten worse each time. First, there's always at least 2 products featured for ECB's that they haven't even unboxed and stocked yet. Second, I've been having the WORST time with manufacturers coupons beeping on me! And not printables, very clearly marked as the correct product, but still that BEEEEEP, and the cashier gets confused. Today she scanned the OB, it beeped and she said, "Is this the trial size, b/c the coupon says no trial sizes." I went, "Well it's got 40 in there, if that's a trial size for someone, I think they need to get to the doctor quick!" At least she laughed and didn't give me that cashier stare you get some places ;)

Today, FOUR of my manuf coupons beeped. Cashier and I both checked and rechecked to make sure it was valid, and they were. THEN, I first paid with my FSA card for the med stuff, and tried to give her ECB's for the rest, and it wouldn't take them. She didn't know what to do, claimed I had to do ECB before FSA and now I couldn't use them. Well if that's the case, the ten other times I've done that same process was wrong on CVS' part.

Finally, it didn't want to process for the ECB deals.

And this looooong line starts to form behind me. So embarrassing.

THEN, as I was leaving the store I realized that a) one of my manuf coupons wasn't taken off of there ($1 one, too), and that I'd been charged twice for one box of medicine. So I had to go back and get that credited back...causing another line.

:headache: Never...again. At least when I go Monday's even when something beeps the Monday cashier, who is an avid couponer herself and very up on what CVS deals are going on, has the authority and knowledge to push things through.

So tell me...any other probs or am I just a lucky, lucky girl? At least I didn't try to buy the Visine, I hear that one was causing all kinds of tizzies!

I went again because I really enjoy the nuts CRTs and read on other forums that they worked for trail mix and chocolate covered peanuts, well with summer coming and three kids that like snacks, I need all the free nuts I can get.

I got 3 chocolate covered peanuts $0.99, and one trail mix $0.99 (used two $2 off 2 nuts CRT) a $10.69 CVS brand Benadryl, a $3.49 CVS brand Earth napkins, 3 ROC facial washes, a true north peanuts on clearence ($1.00 no coupon but we like them) and 2 jars of prego sauce ($3.xx I needed for dinner).... I used a 5/30 a 2/10CVS brand 2 nuts CRTsfor $2 and three $3 ROC coupons... $16 ECB and $1.xx oop Got the $10 ROC ECB back... I lost a few ecbs but got stuff we needed like napkins and sauce for dinner and snacks. I'm at my lowest ever on ecbs $10 on one card and $15 on the other, and both are single... so it's tough to use them. I do have a few nuts CRTS for the other card I'm saving for a Sat trip. If the nuts are being given again I'll hit the scanner every day... that 4 free nuts a day :-)

On to plan next week
