I think that at the CVS'es here each item rings up seperately. For example when the Tresseme was 3 for $10 each bottle rang up $3.34. The B1G1 doesn't ring like that though, each rings up original price and then the register takes the second one off when you scan your card. It has to do with the inventory system each store keeps. At Publix if they run a B1G1 each rings up at half price, but I've not found that the case at CVS.

That's incorrect. At Publix, you can buy only one of a X for $X and get the sale price. However, you have to buy both of a bogo; you can't get just one for 50% off. The register rings up both at full price then "refunds" the second one.

Funny, when I was at Publix on Saturday picking up Allie's birthday cake the Captian Crunch was B1G1 and I was able to buy one box for half price. The cake was $27.99 and I needed something to get me to $30 so that I could use the $5 off of $30 I got in the mail. I bought one box of cereal and a bunch of bananas and the cake. Maybe it doesn't work like that in your Publix, but it does in mine

At the Publix by our house in SC we can buy one of a BOGO sale and get that item at half price but at the Bi-Lo we have to buy 2 in order to get the 2nd one free. I miss Publix - we don't have any up here in MD.

We have Publix and WinDixie.. WinDixie makes you buy two if it's B1G1, but our Publix does not.

Okay, I have to remember to never again go to my CVS on Sundays. :headache: I used to always go on Mondays, but at times I'd deal with limited selections and a nearly expired coupon, so thought Sunday would be better.

Uhhh...no. FWIW: I read on another website that there've been a lot of various probs for people at CVS with some of the deals. I should have listened and stayed home for one more day. ;)

This now makes the third Sunday in a row I've gone and it has gotten worse each time. First, there's always at least 2 products featured for ECB's that they haven't even unboxed and stocked yet. Second, I've been having the WORST time with manufacturers coupons beeping on me! And not printables, very clearly marked as the correct product, but still that BEEEEEP, and the cashier gets confused. Today she scanned the OB, it beeped and she said, "Is this the trial size, b/c the coupon says no trial sizes." I went, "Well it's got 40 in there, if that's a trial size for someone, I think they need to get to the doctor quick!" At least she laughed and didn't give me that cashier stare you get some places ;)

Today, FOUR of my manuf coupons beeped. Cashier and I both checked and rechecked to make sure it was valid, and they were. THEN, I first paid with my FSA card for the med stuff, and tried to give her ECB's for the rest, and it wouldn't take them. She didn't know what to do, claimed I had to do ECB before FSA and now I couldn't use them. Well if that's the case, the ten other times I've done that same process was wrong on CVS' part.

Finally, it didn't want to process for the ECB deals.

And this looooong line starts to form behind me. So embarrassing.

THEN, as I was leaving the store I realized that a) one of my manuf coupons wasn't taken off of there ($1 one, too), and that I'd been charged twice for one box of medicine. So I had to go back and get that credited back...causing another line.

:headache: Never...again. At least when I go Monday's even when something beeps the Monday cashier, who is an avid couponer herself and very up on what CVS deals are going on, has the authority and knowledge to push things through.

So tell me...any other probs or am I just a lucky, lucky girl? At least I didn't try to buy the Visine, I hear that one was causing all kinds of tizzies!

No, it's not just you... I did a big CVS run today, spent quite a bit OOP but needed to build up my ECBs. After I was through, I didn't get the $10 ECB for buying the $20 worth of Stayfree and BandAids. My receipt showed a total of $18 towards this reward so I knew the BandAids were not included even though they were on the receipt. I asked the cashier to review it with me and of course she focused on the other $16 worth of ECBs I had. Asked me what every one of them were for!

Since I was very patience with her and pleasant, she finally came around in her attitude and manually entered the code after scanning my receipt. She apologized for my wait and told me that every penny counted these days.:thumbsup2

In the end I left with my $26 ECBs and a boatload of stuff we needed anyway. This week I got all the stuff I normally get at Costco, but cheaper.

I had my best CVS day EVER!!!!!

First I scanned my card and got a $5 off any Lumene -without you guys I would never have looked extra hard for the 2.99 wipes! There was only one left.

Then someone mentioned earlier the Playskool wipes were on clearance. MY CVS didn't have any - but they did have 6 boxes of Huggies flushable wipes for $.75 that I was able to use coupons for! I never would have went into the baby aisle if not for you guys! And I have three kids under 5 so flushable wipes are really great!

I got:

Garnier 2.99 - $1q
Crest 1.99 - $.75q
6 Huggies wipes $3 - $4 in q's
Lumene Wipes $2.99 - $5 CVS q
Gerber Graduates Snack on Clearance for $.75 - $1q
2 Shick Intuition Razors $17.98 - $9.99 BOGO q - $4q
Trident Gum $1.19 - 1.19q
Bounty Paper Towels $6.99 - 1q

I also had a $5/30 q to use.
I used $7.89 in ECBS and had $0 OOP! I didn't even know that was possible! I only got back $7 in ECBS so I lost 89 cents in funny money but still pretty amazing :cool1:

I am counting my blessings that my CVS has; a scanner, friendly cashiers, cashiers that give overage, and that I seem to be the only one making the deals work because it is always stocked!

For as coupon friendly as my CVS is my WAGS is a coupon nightmare! Everytime I go in there I have some sort of issue.

Is it pathetic that going to CVS is now one of the main things I look forward to on Sundays?

I had heard there was going to be a coupon in this sundays paper for schick intuition and was waiting all week for it. I got the paper today and it wasn't there!?!?:confused3

Did anyone get one?

There was a $4 off coupon in our paper. Not sure if it was in the RedPlum or SmartSource insert.

Does anyone know when the conversion from Long's to CVS will be? We have been in CA for 4 months (hi to Harford Cty, APG, MD peeps!) and I am almost out of shampoo!!! I've started seeing ads on TV but each time we drive by Long's I loong for CVS. Rite-aid is just not doing it and the Commissary here stinks!!

I didn't make it to CVS today, but had a coupon alert to share. When I ran to my Pavillion store today they had a huge carboard display with coupon books from SC Johnson in it for free. It has an orange top that says "save over $37 today" and is filled with windex, pledge, drano, fantastik, Glad, Ziploc and Scrubbing bubbles coupons with expiration dates of 6/26/09
It does say Pavillions on the cover, but the coupons are just regular mfg coupons. Hopefully other stores carry it too.

Publix had the same thing here

um i only got the redplum not SmartSource....probably a bad paper!

It was in the SmartSource. My Intuition was $8.99 with $4 ECBs, limit 1. I didn't realize the limit and I bought 2 with 2 coupons and only got $4 back. So I paid $.99 for one and $4.99 for the other. Oh well...

Also, my add had get 2 packs of 2 Colgate Wisps for free with card...my store had no idea what I was talking about when I got there and then they didn't even have any. The response was..."I don't know...we don't have them."

That and today I booked a stay at OKW for July! YAAYAYAYAYAY!:beach:

When are you going in July? I'll be there the 18th -26. I almost stayed at OKW because they were doing the deal with the 7/4 and $100 gift card, but we have stayed there before and wanted something different.

Maybe we can take a CVS run while we are there! My scheduled rest day is the 23rd! :rotfl:

I got both the smart source and the redplum and it wasn't in either... I was thinking maybe it's regional or something. I dunno... but we have a super-walmart that's opening here on Wednesday. I got to go on a family tour of the store last night and i spotted the schick intuition for $5.00. soooo $1.00 after coupon. Now I'm even more upset that I didn't get it:mad:

Whew, what a weekend!

First off we had our yard sale on Saturday. I went back and forth on the morality of selling my excess stash or not, because it was ridiculous the amount of stuff we had....I decided to go ahead and sell it to help cover the cost of our Disney AP's for our trip in two weeks. I priced things very cheap and I still made $625. What I didn't sell I am boxing up and donating to the woman's shelter this week. I had one woman buy about $50 worth of stuff (she left with a HUGE box of items) and she was practically crying, she said that I had no idea how much this helped her budget for the month. That made me feel better about my decision to sell it.

I am definitely a little burnt out with CVSing between the yard sale, organizing the stuff to donate and then getting ready for vacation in 2 weeks (and making sure I roll all my ECB's so they don't expire while I am away). I did do the Garnier, Crest, Intuition, and the healthcare deal (2 Viactiv, 2 Visine) on one card. The other I did the Garnier and Crest. Also had a good day at Rite Aid, will post that separately so it is easier to find.

Rite Aid Moneymaker:

I did the Skintamate, Eye drops, nasal rinse, 2 Listernine (found bonus packs so even better deal) and a candy bar filler. Used the $5/$25 RA coupon, $1 Skintamite, 2 $1 Listerine coupons for a small moneymaker after SCR's.

This happens where I live too, we have two major papers and one carries the "good" inserts, but thankfully that paper is available at Dollar Tree.

Congratulations!, it will make the trip even more fun to have that extra cover some of the expense.

I managed to get 6 of the Rimmel mascara with the All You coupons, but they weren't all free. The price here is $7.49 each and the coupons had a max value of $6.47, so I had to pay $3.06+tax.
