CVS Weekly 4/26-5/2

Does anyone know when the conversion from Long's to CVS will be? We have been in CA for 4 months (hi to Harford Cty, APG, MD peeps!) and I am almost out of shampoo!!! I've started seeing ads on TV but each time we drive by Long's I loong for CVS. Rite-aid is just not doing it and the Commissary here stinks!!

Hi!:wave2:
Did you check on cvs.com? When I typed in Pebble beach it lists several stores in your area as being a Long's but operated by CVS. Do the extra bucks work there?
Funny you said that about Rite Aid, I have been going there more and more. Love the $5 off $25!

It was in the SmartSource. My Intuition was $8.99 with $4 ECBs, limit 1. I didn't realize the limit and I bought 2 with 2 coupons and only got $4 back. So I paid $.99 for one and $4.99 for the other. Oh well...

Also, my add had get 2 packs of 2 Colgate Wisps for free with card...my store had no idea what I was talking about when I got there and then they didn't even have any. The response was..."I don't know...we don't have them."

At my CVS cashier said you hav eto buy a Colgate toothbrush or toothpaste to get the 2 free Wisps. Paper says nothing about that and I showed her, but nope. But the I went through my coupons and found one for Colgate toothbursh so I guess I'm going back.:rotfl:

I could kinda see what the ad meant once I had been told, but it certainly wasn't obvious at first glance. The toothpaste and Wisp ads needed to have been boxed or something to make it clear. I'd love to have FREE Wisps, but I'm certainly not going to pay for toothpaste or toothbrushes -- way too many chances to get them for free!

Hi back from APG from a fellow UCF Alum (and DH is heading back there next year for his MBA!). You mean the Commissary here is better than there? I loved the one at Ft Belvoir the best - it is HUGE! The cashiers at the Commissary here drive me batty with my coupon use.

Whew, what a weekend!

First off we had our yard sale on Saturday. I went back and forth on the morality of selling my excess stash or not, because it was ridiculous the amount of stuff we had....I decided to go ahead and sell it to help cover the cost of our Disney AP's for our trip in two weeks. I priced things very cheap and I still made $625. What I didn't sell I am boxing up and donating to the woman's shelter this week. I had one woman buy about $50 worth of stuff (she left with a HUGE box of items) and she was practically crying, she said that I had no idea how much this helped her budget for the month. That made me feel better about my decision to sell it.

I am definitely a little burnt out with CVSing between the yard sale, organizing the stuff to donate and then getting ready for vacation in 2 weeks (and making sure I roll all my ECB's so they don't expire while I am away). I did do the Garnier, Crest, Intuition, and the healthcare deal (2 Viactiv, 2 Visine) on one card. The other I did the Garnier and Crest. Also had a good day at Rite Aid, will post that separately so it is easier to find.

Congrats on the yard sale! That is great! DD15 and I went to a few yard sales around here Sat morning and I saw one that had nothing but CVS goodies. LOL

Where do you get the $5/$25? I haven't tried to do the Rite Aid deals very much at all. It is hard enough to CVS with DS23months in tow.

IT is on iheartriteaid....it prints tiny but I have been using it all month and it scans just fine. Haven't had a problem with it.

I actually have been doing really well at Rite Aid lately, a lot of their sales/SCR deals are on products I use....like the Skintamite and Listerine this week. I also like that I can make one trip and be done with them for the week.

That is amazing - way to go on the yard sale!

Clarabellecowfan, the people at Rite Aid have been super nice too about coupons. I have even read the total only needs to be $25 with the tax- so like 24.50 would work with the tax than added.

There is also a great deal on a medicine. One is on allergy meds, spend $50, get a $25 giftcard. There is a second rebate deal, spend $25, get $10 and both include sudafed, tylenol allergy, and benadryl, and zytec. So, you should be able to buy one set of products and get both deals. Plus, use the $5 off $25 AND mix in some other freebies or moneymakers.

Rite Aid also seems to be overlooked around here at least compared to CVS and Walgreens - so the stock is better.

My CVS Ad for SE PA shows photos of Hello Kitty and Flexible Fabric Band-Aids and states "Band-Aid Bandages" underneath the photo and in red circle states "prices starting at $1."

All bandaids were marked $3.49 and higher. I could find no Band-Aid product "starting at $1." Has anyone found a box of Band-Aids for $1?
I find the photos with the wording very misleading but I didn't want to argue the point.

I finally got back in the swing of things (Maryland store for ShiPooOwner), this is what I bought:

NOTE: Visine-A and AC did not count towards the deal here even though it was marked and was on sale, ECB had to be manually printed. There weren't any Bandaids starting at $1 either or Neosporin starting at $3.99, otherwise this could have been a great run because I have tons of $1 Bandaid coupons.

2.99 Garnier -1.00 mfg., earned $2 ECB (FREE)
1.69 x 3 Mentos Gum -3.00 mfg., earned $1 ECB (.36 each after coupon/ECB)

Went to CVS today and got the following:
Intuition 8.99 - $4 coupon - $4 EB = .99
Neosporin $6.49 - $1 coupon = $5.49
Found great deal Neosporing+20 hellokitty bandaids for $6.99 but when I added up what I was getting it should have been $3.59+5.49 = 9.08 and the $1 neosporin coupons worked on them too! so 6.99*2 = 13.98
Also found a clearance Zimax cough suppressant for 2.25 that doesn't expire until 2011
so total of 31.71 - $6 coupons -$10 EB = 15.71 and got $14 in EB back so $1.71

There's also some really good deals at Walgreens this week if anyone is interested. The ecotrin aspirin is on sale for $2 and you get $2 rewards back... use the $2 coupon on smartsource and they paide you $2 to take aspirin from them :goodvibes

Plus a bunch of other things that end up being free so I'm going to stop there tomorrow. Hopefully they still have a bunch of stuff in stock.

Welcome back, LanaJae! Is the Zooth toothbrush ECB a monthly? I have the B1G1 coupon and my kids LOVE these things. We cleaned and organized our room yesterday and I can't find my monthly book:confused3

I have the Neosporin CRT, it says 1oz, is that the size for $5.xx? Does it work on the smaller one, otherwise? Sorry for all the questions, I had wanted to get to CVS today, but my son got his finger caught in a door, and we spent half the day in the emergency room. He's fine (and no prescriptions;)) but it wasn't a pretty sight!

Thanks for all everyone's help! Have a great week everyone!

I am definately sticking to my regular CVS! Went to another ma the gave m a hard timewhen I did a second transaction for my daughter !! Now on mine I had used a printable 3/15 that expired yesterday with no problem but when I gv them 1 fo DD they said it'sexpired I said I know CVS takes 1 expired c/o Both locations have told me that in the past!!!I told her keep the stuff I'll go to my regular store !! There thy tease me if I'm late , pick on me about which way to put the card in etc etc and just are a lot of fun!!

I will have to check them out. I have 2 pretty close by. :) Thanks!

Strangely enough my one store had the Wisps by the cash registers last week. Maybe they don't have a permanent place in the dental aisle. :confused3

When are you going in July? I'll be there the 18th -26. I almost stayed at OKW because they were doing the deal with the 7/4 and $100 gift card, but we have stayed there before and wanted something different.

Maybe we can take a CVS run while we are there! My scheduled rest day is the 23rd! :rotfl:

Maggie
:lmao: Ya might be a CVS Addict if you can't go on vacation w/o scheduling a CVS trip.....
Ya might be a CVS Addict if you equate a day of rest with a day of CVS shopping....
Ya might be a CVS Addict if you schedule CVS DIS meets.....
Ya might be a CVS Addict if you map out all the CVS locations on your vacation route....
Ya might be a CVS Addict if while vacationing you insist on getting up early to buy 5 copies of the Sunday Paper for the coupons....
BTW I plead the 5th on a couple of these!!! OK so maybe it's more like drink the 5th I bought at CVS...

I got both the smart source and the redplum and it wasn't in either... I was thinking maybe it's regional or something. I dunno... but we have a super-walmart that's opening here on Wednesday. I got to go on a family tour of the store last night and i spotted the schick intuition for $5.00. soooo $1.00 after coupon. Now I'm even more upset that I didn't get it:mad:

Not sure where you are located but if you're buying a local paper try to find a large city paper. Instead of the Ft Wayne Paper I buy the Indianapolis paper. There are soooooo many more coupons in the Indy paper.

Hey I only went out and bought 2 or 3 Sunday papers while I was at Disney... I did bring my CVS card with me and a coupon for a script just in case anyone got sick and we had to go to CVS to get meds. :rolleyes1

Poor guy, that hurts so bad! It's been years and years but I still vividly remember my oldest getting his finger caught in the car door.

The Zooth are part of the Crest and toothbrush deal this week for $1.99 with a $1 ECB, limit 2. It works perfect with the BOGO coupon.

The Neosporin was the $5.79 here. I'm sure it would work on any Neosporin if you could find a lower priced one.

Ya never know! I bring all my CVS stuff to FL.

I would've went to CVS when I was in CA too, but they only had the Long's/CVS. I don't know how they work. I got to go to my first Riteaid though lol (no deals, just bought Mountain Dew and it was expensive there).
