wannabee, the Playskool totes are a trial pack with several coupons inside, the best being a coupon for 20 free prints worth $5.80. They were $2.99 and have been clearanced from 50% to 90%, this is a picture:

Looks like SHAYMARAYSMOM won the pool!! :cool1:

I think everyone will probably win - what if I go every day this week? :rotfl2: Am still laughing that I couldn't figure out what LJ meant.

I really had fun reading the last few pages... I think my new motto better be "just shut up and shop!"

Looks like people were having fun today - hi to everyone new and those starting again too. I'm off to hide the evidence ;)

Way to go JanaJae! I actually predicted you'd hit stores on BOTH days of the 2-day sale, but didn't imagine you'd hit 3 stores today (or was it 4, I lost count?). :worship:

Can't find those playschool totes in my part of CT, but I am not complaining because today and last week were still all good.:hippie:

If I go to the same store twice in one day, does it count? (3 today). Trust me, you don't want to find the Playskool totes, they've sprayed them with something that makes you want to get more!

I promise this is the last post today..

This might be news to some, it was to me.

CVS has their own magazine called Reinventing Beauty. It's 99 cents. It says that it's been reinvented and this appears to be the new premiere issue. Queen Latifah is on the cover. I'm framing the Excedrin ad on page 67.

It has a coupon book inside with these coupons:

Skin Effects (any) $2 (don't know exp. because I used it already)
Nailene Duets $1, exp. 8-31-08
Physician's Formula Powder Palette $1 (limit 2 items per coupon), exp. 6-30-08
Clairol Perfect 10 $2, exp. 5-31-08
Pantene $2, exp. 5-31-08
CoverGirl Tru Blend $2, exp. 5-31-08
Dasani or Evian 1 litre $1/2, exp. 6-30-08
Hershey's Bliss 6.6 oz. or larger $1, exp. 9-30-08

Other coupons:

Smooth 'N Shine (any) (page 32), 50 cents, exp. 12-31-08
Gold Bond Ultimate (excludes trial) $1, exp. 8-31-08
Stridex (any) $1, exp. 7-31-08

Last night I saw my sister-in-law had a CVS prescription bottle.
I asked if she used her card.
She said - yes, but I am not good like you, I always throw those extra things (bucks) away.

I think I started to feel a little sick.

I used to throw them out too.........when I even remembered to use my ECB card!!!!! I rarely went into cvs, so it wasn't much but still, now that I know what I know, I could kick myself!!!

So anyone see my post about the blood sugar monitor? #74

Okay, I have a few questions...I understand that the trick to saving the most at CVS is using manufacturer coupons on the ECB deals. I don't really know much about coupons--where are you getting all of them? Obviously the weekly paper or some online coupon sites, but it seems like some of you have several of the same coupons. Do you buy extra newspapers to get the coupons? On that note, I have a question about coupons in general. If I have two of the same coupon, can I use them both on one purchase? Or can I only use them both if I purchase 2 of the item? What about if I have a $1 coupon and a $2 coupon for the same thing. Can I use both of those on the one item or will I need to buy 2 of it? And for CVS, can the ECBs be used by anyone or only by the cardholder? Sorry to ask all these questions in one post but I'm only 18 and it's never occurred to me to bother with coupons before, I need help! And I knew that this would be the best place to ask!

If the coupon is $1 off 1, then you can use it for 1 item. If you have another coupon for $1 off 1 you would have to buy another item to use it. You can"t use 2 coupons for the same single item.
hope that makes sense.
the ECB's are tied to the card.........so if someone else wants to shop with your card I guess they can, they don't check ID. just the card.
The deals for ECB's and with coupons work out to be good deals.
tonight for example I bought the listerine rinse for 2.99, i had a $1 off coupon so I paid 1.99 and got back 2.99 ECB.

The M&Ms went fast here and DH asks all the time when I am going to buy more. I tell him not until they earn ECBs and I have a coupon!

The Japanese candy sounds good. One of my friends is from Hong Kong and she used to always have a candy called Pocky that was really good.

OOh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pocky. Now they have all sorts of flavors, I get them from the Chinese grocery store by us, DD (2) loves them! :thumbsup2 If you want, I can pick up a box or two for you. Just let me know.

I've discovered that my CVS stinks. I couldn't find that Playskool tote! DH went in today to get a flyer for me (again it wasn't in my Sunday paper), and he said they had to go into the back to open a box of it...sigh. I need to find a new CVS...

I do both. The local Dollar Tree sells the Sunday paper for $1, so I buy 3 or 4 of them when there are coupons. Next week, there will be no coupon inserts. I also buy coupons from thecouponsclippers.com. If you order by Sunday afternoon, she mails them out on Monday.

On that note, I have a question about coupons in general. If I have two of the same coupon, can I use them both on one purchase? Or can I only use them both if I purchase 2 of the item? You can only use one manufacturer's coupon per item. But you can stack a store coupon with a manufacturer's coupon. So, if you have a CVS $3 off $15 coupon for beauty items and a $3 off one shampoo manufacturer's coupon, you can use both.

And for CVS, can the ECBs be used by anyone or only by the cardholder? Sorry to ask all these questions in one post but I'm only 18 and it's never occurred to me to bother with coupons before, I need help! And I knew that this would be the best place to ask!
The ECBs have to be used in conjunction with the card on which they were earned. In other words, if you use your card to earn $5 in ECBs, you cannot use those ECBs to pay for a purchase being made with your parent's card. But as of right now, they do not require you to show any ID when using a card. It's not unusual for everyone in a household to use the same account. CVS issues a credit-card size card and 2 keychain cards for each account. There are no names on the cards but names do print out on the ECBs.

Can someone please oh please tell me if there are any ECB deals w/my BOGO coupon and my $2 off 2 coupons for the Oral B toothbrushes in the Proctor and Gamble inserts that were in the paper 2 weeks ago.

I know there is a $4.99 ECB deal w/a toothbrush, just want to know if anyone has tried either of these coupons w/it.

I know I could just try it myself, but my CVS has a Coupon Nazi that's there every time I go in, and I'm a little scared of her.

The BOGO was for an oral-b pulsar only I think? I did use that when they were on sale for $4.99. Not sure what the price is now.

The $2 off 2 WILL work on the Oral-B toothbrushes that generate the ECBs, namely the cross-action.

HTH.

thank you so much! So the toothbrushes that are generating the ECB's are the ones that are on sale for $4.99 and you get $4.99 ECB?? And I can use the $2 off coupon for those but not the BOGO.........
thanks, I'm probably making this more difficult than it is.

I do not have a 4 off 20 welcome coupon anymore. are we not suppose to give the link ? I am confused about this whole printable coupon thing

You can get Pocky in Japan at Epcot!! They have regular, chocolate and strawberry. One year they had Pumpkin at Halloween and that was YUM!

There are some international stores in this area. They usually have Pocky in the Japanese section.

My lucky sister also went to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySeas and I'm so jealous.

Kimya

When I went to Mousefest, I made sure to bring home Pocky for my DD for her stocking. She loves it. Then later, I was walking through Super Walmart here at home and saw some. :scared1:

Hello Everyone!:cutie:

I haven't gotten to report my shopping, and of course my reciepts aren't in front of me but Smiller & I did great. We hit the 24 HR store Saturday night and were there for an hour! I did 5 transactions!:rotfl:

Anyway, then we went CVSing Sunday morning and got more bic soliel and I found the playskool totes:woohoo: and I bought the Diabetes tester in the ad.

PROBLEM OF THE DAY:

The Diabetes tester rebate is not valid. It expired in Dec 2007. CVS advertised the manufacturer's rebate in the ad and in the store. What do I do? I think someone else posted about this. I think I'll call the corporate CVS number while my DS is napping this afternoon. Any ideas?

I think that some people got a BOGO that DOES work on these toothbrushes. Look at the fine print. It might not be the kind of toothbrush pictured, but it will be in the text.

Hi everyone, I am new to CVS'ing. I have been reading all the forums and I'm pretty sure I have got it down. I went to my cvs this morning and had all my coupons and a list of what I wanted to get and how much I would get in rewards. When I got to the register I told her to be patient as I wanted to be sure to do my order correctly. I was absolutely stunned to hear her tell me that on my Dove purchase, which was when you spend $15.00 you get $5.00 back in rewards that they were now deducting my coupons from my $15.00 total! I disagreed and told her the manufacturer refunds cvs the amount of the coupon and I shouldn't be penalized for cutting coupons and saving money. She said it is now their new rule because there are too many people abusing the system. I see that on the bottom of my coupon it clearly deducts my coupons, which were 4/$3.00 coupons so it took me longer to get to my $15.00 and get my $5.00 in rewards. I really can't believe this new rule and wonder how much this is going to change things for people who spend a lot of time making the most out of their money there?

Poly- I know you are further south, but the Bristol 24 hour store has the totes too. They ring up $1.49. I think that is my new favorite store- they always have what I'm looking for.

Did she say when this started? I was just somewhat getting the hang of everything, and now a new twist.. Oh no..

 This is bad news. What difference does it make to them? They are getting reimbursed! I used a bunch of q's yesterday and none were deducted from my totals towards ECB's! Then again, all my deals were "buy the item, get the ECB", not "$ WYB $$".
