Thanks for the help! Hopefully I'll get the hang of everything soon!
Hi everyone, I am new to CVS'ing. I have been reading all the forums and I'm pretty sure I have got it down. I went to my cvs this morning and had all my coupons and a list of what I wanted to get and how much I would get in rewards. When I got to the register I told her to be patient as I wanted to be sure to do my order correctly. I was absolutely stunned to hear her tell me that on my Dove purchase, which was when you spend $15.00 you get $5.00 back in rewards that they were now deducting my coupons from my $15.00 total! I disagreed and told her the manufacturer refunds cvs the amount of the coupon and I shouldn't be penalized for cutting coupons and saving money. She said it is now their new rule because there are too many people abusing the system. I see that on the bottom of my coupon it clearly deducts my coupons, which were 4/$3.00 coupons so it took me longer to get to my $15.00 and get my $5.00 in rewards. I really can't believe this new rule and wonder how much this is going to change things for people who spend a lot of time making the most out of their money there?
Hmm..just thinking here and I could be wrong ( I usually am )
OP how many Dove items did you buy? just wondering because they are BOGO, the free items do not count towards the total. Say you bought 4 dove shampoo/conditioner you are only paying for 2 (CVS does not factor in the free item towards the wyb $, but you can still use Mfq for all 4 items. Does this make sense?? At the bottom of your receipt how much does it say you have spent towards this deal?
Poly- I know you are further south, but the Bristol 24 hour store has the totes too. They ring up $1.49. I think that is my new favorite store- they always have what I'm looking for.

I think I've got it -- on Farmington Ave, Rt. 6 (not the other one in Bristol on N.Main)! What to do, what to do?OH MY GOSH!! I don't work tomorrow -- hmmm, do I go up there or not. Is it directly on the Berlin Turnpike? Gosh this really is becoming a sickness (but it's so much fun).![]()
Regarding my trip to my local CVS (in Cincinnati) and my coupons, I have reviewed my receipt and it appears to me that they DID deduct my coupons in my favor. The cashier was very clear that they are going to start deducting coupons for items BEFORE you reach the amount you have to get to to get your ECB. I did the BOGO Dove Shampoo, then I had 3/$3 coupons. This got me to $15.27. I therefore received my $5.00 ECB for reaching $15.00, even on the BOGO Dove Shampoo. Then she deducted my coupons. I don't know why she told me about the changes regarding the coupons, but it really bothered me and I am considering getting a better explaination from a manager regarding this. As I told my husband, why does CVS care, the manufacturer reimburses them for my coupon and if I can't utilize it at their store then I'll wait until super double coupons at my grocery store and shop there! I will advise when I get a better answer.
Doing the Dove deal yesterday, I bought some Dove deodorant on clearance that was right on the shelves next to all the other Dove deodorant but it didn't count towards the $15 limit. Just a heads up cause I realized after I left that I still need $1.53 to go. And a quick question - do some people have a Coppertone deal in their circular? I have Bullfrog (with no ecb's only $1 off) and I was wondering if sometimes there were different regional deals.
