CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 11/16-11/22

Did anyone see the $5 rebate in Sunday's paper? But it says remove and send in the 'tab' over the upc - but I don't see a tab anywhere? Do the kids have to open it before we find the tab? (It couldn't be missing because its totally sealed tight)

Anyone? No one saw or received or using the rebate in their Sunday circular for WallE(teaming up with Minutemaid)?

Ok, then does anyone know what the heck they mean by tab? Is it 'inside' the package? Wanted it for a gift under the tree but would like to do the rebate before Christmas so I don't forget?

Help please!!!

I saw this and cut it out of the paper. You could choose out of a couple movies ~ Sleeping Beauty, Wall*E, and a couple others too. The tab used to be on the back side and was a cut out on the base of the movie description sleeve that they put on the plastic packaging. Front would have Wall*E cover and back side would say what the movie is about (KWIM?) I haven't looked at the movies I've bought to see where they are on the Blue Ray packages but I'm sure it would be the same. You would need to unwrap the cellophane packaging to get to it. I can double check later when I get home from work if you need more information.

Dont know if this helps but It says that the tab is located on back of dvd package above UPC code.

Alright...I started shopping at 6:07 (after going to Target to buy clothes to be cut off in a fire dept training today-another story in and of itself!! and DH having to leave work early to take care of DS4 who had a stomach bug). I asked three guys standing at the counter how to get the card that was in the paper. He handed me the card and explained it a little bit. I told him that I was totally new to everything and just trying to figure it all out. (I'd planned on taking a few minutes after work to try and get more organized but with being asked to help with the training and everything else, I didn't get to do that). So Matthew (the VERY NICE CVS boy) wished me luck. I then asked if they had Wall E since this was the reason for me coming to shop. He looked through every box and finally noticed one that someone had set aside. He said something about one of the girls that worked there set it aside but I could have it! :rotfl: Ok! So in my cart it went and I started my shopping!

There I was going through my instructions, list and coupons and here came Matthew again. He brought me over a monthly catalog or something (I'm sure y'all know all about it!) and explained that to me and told me about other customers that come in (like you guys!!!) who don't pay anything for carts full of stuff. He answered so many questions for me (I am fully planning on emailin CVS to tell them how wonderful he was!!). So finally (after three calls to see what was taking so long!) I filled my cart and checked out. I wound up just starting to put everything on the counter and the manager just started scanning everything. I tried to stop him to show him my instructions and just gave up (I shouldn't have I know!!!). So, I got the Wall E for $10.00 (and stocked up on pop for a party next week!) and $35 in ECB ($25 for the Glade and $15 from batteries). Even the manager (and DH) commented on the number of coupons that I used! :rotfl2:

So I loaded everything into the car and looked at the time....6:39. Not too bad for half an hour, spending about $114 OOP and getting $35 back. (I forgot the reciept at home but I'll post tonight so you can teach me what I need to do next time!!).

So when I got home, I looked at everything and at the ad. Knowing what I know now and having an idea of how this works, :teacher: I think I would have bought my batteries first to get the $15 ECB, used that to buy the Glade stuff for the $25 and used that on the rest so I didn't pay so much up front.

All in all, I think it went well. I need to be much more organized for sure next time and be more familiar with what's in the ad and exactly what coupons I have (I did good with coupons this time). I think they've earned a new shopper and you guys have earned another buddy here on the thread (if you'll have me!). It's kind of like a game that you have to think about before going in the store.

I can't thank you all enough for all of the help!!! I so appreciate it!! I'm sure I'll have lots more questions once I get into this more but I'll (hopefully) catch on quickly!

Yes, I remember doing the rebate thing with other movies and tabs, but this one doesn't have it, at least that I can see.

Thank you, I would really appreciate you taking a look and letting me know what you think.

I know, but its not there so as Its A Happy Day said, it must be inside. No problem, I'll just have to wait until Christmas morning (or whenever they open to watch) to remember to pull it out.

The tabs are inside the DVD case, so your kids will have to open it.

So does anyone remember or have the link to St. Ives coupons?

I think I even used it before but now can't find it.

Might have even expired but if you have it, I would really appreciate it.

TIA

That's great that you had someone so helpful!

When you get home, check to see what it says on your receipt (at the bottom) about how much you spent on batteries because you might want to go back this week to get more. You probably would only have to buy about $35-39 worth to get $30 more back in ECBs and you could use the ECBs you earned to pay for them.

There's a $2 Elements coupon at: http://www.stives.com/

It's supposed to scan for all the St. Ive's products, it's the only one that's been available.

I went to my CVS this morning to get the battery deal and while the sign on the shelf said $12.49 for the 16 pack of AA's, it rang up $9.99. I told the girl I would need to get another pack and she said that it should print out the ECB with what I had. I let her go through with it knowing I could have her re do it if it didnt and she was right! I got the ECB's with 2- $9.99 items. They also had a peelie on it for $2.50 off. So I got 32 AA batteries for .23 cents OOP:cool1:
I did this twice and Im going back for more!!

If anyone is looking for them and can't find them at their store, check at the counter.

I was about to buy the batteries w/o the coupon because we needed them and it is a good deal and the cashier offered one to me. :cheer2: Said they have taken them off the displays because of people taking them all.

Its true....thats why my 10.00 ECB wouldnt work:headache: The manager was trying everything to put it in....well, its good to know. It drives me a little nuts when the cashier wont listen..she sometimes puts my ecb first then my coupons:confused3 Well, I did my deal. I was 4 cents shy of getting my ecb and i had to buy another pack:) but thats ok...i think its a great deal

I've read that if you have them rescan your card, the ECB will work again.

I need to get this straight. Is the new rule that ECBs need to come before coupons?

I went to the CVS near my office at lunchtime and actually found the large packs of AA and AAA batteries, but my $15 ECB from the first time I did the deal wouldn't work. She had scanned the batteries and the $5/2 coupon. She said I obviously couldn't use the battery ECB to buy more batteries :confused3 . She tried to tell me that I would get the $15 she was asking me to pay back, but I wasn't interested in paying $15 OOP.

She also tried to tell me I wouldn't get the ECBS b/c my toal was $19.98 instead of $20. I told her I "thought" I would since I had some extra leftover from the first time I'd done the deal.

I just looked at iheartcvs.com for the 11/23 deals and they have saline solution, so I can use my ecb's for that...it's the less expensive brand apparently, which is fine with me. So that's great that I can roll that over.

Looks like they have a ton of stuff for Black Friday. This will be the one year I will not be going. I don't even want to be tempted to buy stuff. Although I was not impressed with anything last year.

I don't know if I can justify rolling any more ecb's on black friday, but I guess if I'm not spending anything oop, then I should get what I can so I have more for later.

Rachel

There are many items in the Black Friday ad that will be MONEYMAKERS with coupons. You might want to use the ECB you have to roll with the moneymaker deals and then when you do all of those, use up your last ECB on the necessities. Also, the sale starts on Thanksgiving day, so its not like you have to go out during the crazy Black Friday mess.

Just a heads up today CVS cashier told me to give him my ECBs first and it would save me some money. I don't know why but I would hand over the ECBs I planned to use, then he would take off coupons. Usually he would give me coupons back and I would be about .24 negative. I would get 2 hershey bars (2for $1) and use a BOGO to end up with a few cents OOP.

I did not even use my 3/15. Can't tell you how this works but it did.

Its about the tax. I think its that the ECB will reduce the tax amount due, but manufacturer coupons do not. ?????

IMPRESSIVE!!!! Love the pictures.
I'm glad I'm not alone in my obsession. :dance3:

Is that the Christmas toilet paper? That's the only great deal on tp I can think of that would allow you to have so much. TP is one thing (and HE detergent) that I have trouble getting free. I can get it cheap, but not free.
