CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 11/16-11/22

When I grow up, I want to be just like you LJ!

I'm old and boring! (but thanks, that's sweet!!) Took me 40+ years to find some math I like :rotfl2:

I dug up enough coupons to do Glade on my husband's card and went to a store about 10 miles away. They didn't have any of the 2-pack scented oil refills and didn't even have a place on the shelf for them :confused3 and the singles were $3.99 so that was really strange (they're $2.99 in 3 other stores here). I had to keep refiguring and finally threw in 2 of the vanilla/lavender warmers that weren't supposed to be on sale and were marked $4.99. I get up to check out and they rung up at $2.99.. so anyone needing just $5.98 or under to reach their next $5 ECB should check the price on those and use a BOGO warmer coupon (it's on the printables linked above).

So, I'm at this store and I look at the batteries and sure enough they had one AA 16-pack and a few AAA 16-packs so I decide to do batteries on my husband's card (no coupons). Then I go in the holiday section and they had tons of the $5.99 8-packs with the free screwdriver in a side-of-the-endcap display. Then I go to the coupon scanner and scan his card and a $10/50 prints - I nearly fainted - I haven't seen one for 9 mos.!, so I ended up getting $60+ in batteries and $50+ in Glade. Spent almost $20 OOP, used $21.99 in ECBs, but I left with $35 in ECBs, so for all those batteries, I guess that's good enough.

I just spent the last 2 hours digging up coupons for the Thanksgiving sale.

I was not allowed to use the $5/2 batteries coupon tonight b/c I had used it before. It was the original coupon from the pad at the store, as was the other coupon I used. The clerk said she could override a lot of things but that there was nothing she could do to make that coupon go through. I went ahead and bought the batteries since I had the $15 ECB, but I hated to have the extra $5 OOP. I'll try the coupon again when I do battery deal #3.

At least I got home and found a postcard from CVS announcing the "Minute Clinic" that just opened at my local store. If I go by and say "hi," they'll give me a $5 off $15 coupon!

Those of you who have found the tearpad coupons... where are you finding them? I've been to 3 different CVS stores (totally breaking my vow of not going CVS-crazy, ha!) and haven't been able to find them. Are they obvious on the battery display, or are they out of the way somewhere else?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I need to go finish off the Glade tomorrow (had some $3 over last time, thank you BOGO warmers!) and would love to use one of those coupons instead of just buying the batteries OOP...

I also got a $10/50... but don't need $50 in merch, ugh! LOL. It's only good till next week, frustrating.

Carrie

First, that is so cool that you got a 10/50. I would have been freaking out too! :cheer2:

And, second, I spent tonight playing around with my coupons for the thanksgiving sale! :teacher: I always host thanksgiving so it will be easy for me & smiller to get out of the house early and do our shopping. :car: I also figure that while DH and DIS dad are lounging on the couch, they can watch the kiddies and I can go to like 4 other CVSs and do my other card. yay!:woohoo:

okay, I have some bad news! :sad2: My thighs are starting to rub together and I know it is because of the CVS candy. I have all this candy corn that has to be eaten and I'm still working on the last M&M deal. :scared1: I still have some of those minty Indiana Jones M&Ms that NEED to get finished off. Yikes!:scared:

Awesome!

Question about WARMERS: what are they exactly? As I said earlier I saw the dispaly but it was a mess, no prices (I HATE that) and was so frustrated about the battery deal that I didn't spend much time looking.

So is a wamer a candle or plug-in? Does a Glade coupon have to be specific for "Warmers" and not candles? :confused3

Sorry so confused but my CVSs are starting to be very leery and NOT helpful. :scared:

(while getting a raincheck for the free with ECB L'Oreal, a clerk said they sell out 10 minutes after opening on Sunday morning, and then the people buying try to return them later in the week at another store. Now THAT is awful and might ruin it for all of us!!!)

The tearpad was stuck right to the top of the battery display at my one CVS. Another CVS I saw they had the tearpad next to the register, not sure if you would need to ask for one or if the cashier was just automatically using them with people buying the batteries.......

I too spent about an hour yesterday gathering my coupons for Thanksgiving. I am going out right at 8. DH already knows he has to watch DS that morning. I have 7 CVS to chose from, but hoping to just hit 4 to finish everything up. Can't wait

I am also amazed by your money saving skills, you are a CVS wizard :wizard:

I have a tendency to associate people with their avatars- so you're young and beautiful just like Cinderella ;) and I look just like Belle :rolleyes1 .

Yeah. Our health insurance co. has a program with CVS and they sent DH a card. So I just started using it. I was too scared to open another one before. I find it a bit confusing with the two cards. So I only use it to get the deals I really want. Like I'm only doing the batteries on one card. But I think I'm going to kick myself if I don't do it on both.

But bring on the toilet paper! If there was one thing you truly can't have enough of that's it!!!!

When I first started working 2 cards it was very confusing to me too. I have found a way to keep ECBs seperated that works well for me.

AT Dollar Tree I found eye glass cases that are soft sided with a zipper. I bought blue for DHs card and pink for mine. I store the card, ECBs and latest register receipt for each of us in our case. Very easy to keep up with.

CRTs are kept in my coupon book since they look so much like ECBs. I have a seperate pocket for myself and DH to keep CRTs in.

Is the Dec 88 All You from Dec 1988? Or do you mean the Dec 08? I could not find this coupon in my All You magazine. Has anyone seen it or have a page number?

Thanks!
Allie

Sounds like fun! We have Thanksgiving at our house too but somehow I'm going to have to get out first thing in the morning. Now I want to go back to that CVS and scan my card to see if I get a $10/50, that would really make it fun although I think they're only good for a week so I should try it tomorrow.

P.S. I think my thighs have been rubbing together since 3rd grade :rotfl2: I sent the last of the M&Ms out the door this week.

The warmers are the things that plug into the wall, the ones I've been talking about are the ones that hold the little oil bottle. Each warmer comes with one scent.

This is what I've seen here:

$7.99 Warmer with a fan (regular price)
$6.99 Warmer with a night light (regular price)
$2.99 Warmer (sale price, says $4.99 on shelf)

I am also amazed by your money saving skills, you are a CVS wizard :wizard:

It should be that way!

I totally agree with that!!!! :goodvibes

Then I go to the coupon scanner and scan his card and a $10/50 prints - I nearly fainted - I haven't seen one for 9 mos.!

Can someone please explain this "coupon machine" to me??? I wonder if my CVS has one???

What a great idea! I don't know that I'll ever be good enough for two cards but maybe someday....

So then which coupons work with the above 'candle holders' vs. the 'warmers' below?

Sorry to be so dense and confused, I'm not usually like this. But as I said, my CVS has not been friendly lately to any of us and the candle stuff is all mish-mashed together - and with NO Prices listed. Not kidding, at all.

TIA very much.

Check your emails! Just got a $4/$20 Beauty purchase that is good until 12/4. I'll have no problems using that next weekend for the Thanksgiving sales! :thumbsup2

Can someone please explain this "coupon machine" to me??? I wonder if my CVS has one???

They're price checkers, but the red ones (usually) have paper in them and when you can your card, coupons will print out the side (blue ones here don't print coupons). If you have one, keep scanning your card until the machine says "no more coupons today." They are only in the brand new stores here, so I have to drive about 10 miles to get to one, but it's usually worth it. The coupons are often different than the ones that print on your receipt along with the ECBs. If you're not getting coupons on your receipt yet, don't worry - it sometimes takes awhile after you start shopping on a regular basis.

OMG guys! I just got a 10/50 too!!! Haven't seen a x/xx coupon assigned to me for at least 5 months, I'm going to have no trouble using that next week for Black Friday! :cool1: :cool1:
