CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 11/16-11/22

Ok...I had DH run home on his lunch to get my coupons. Here's what I have to use towards tonight's excitement. :rotfl:

1 75 cents off Duracell batteries
1 20 cents off Ajax dishwasing liquid (DH just informed me we need a lot of this for some reason???)
2 BYGO free glade plug ins scented oil refill packs
2 B2G1 free scented oil candle refill packs
1 B1G1 free scented oil candle holder (I need to do this to buy the refills!)
1 B1G1 free glass scents
3 50 cents off any 3 packages of Kleenex
1 50 cents off 1 package of Kleenex

Hopefully this doesn't confuse me more than I already am (if that's possible!) :faint: I'm just excited to use all of my coupons!!!

I also have to do my grocery shopping this weekend for Thanksgiving and will get to use lots of coupons for that too (Kroger sends me tons to use!!). I'm so excited to save the money this week!!! Just the jump start I needed to get into all of this! :goodvibes

Ok...I'm going to have to print out your "directions" and take them with me! :goodvibes Please don't laugh if you see me at CVS tonight...just help me out!!! We can always use batteriest at my house-especially with Christmas coming up and new toys to certainly need some when they're opened.

THANK YOU for taking the time to break it down for me. I really appreciate it!!!! I'll be sure to post tonight how it all went. :goodvibes

If you live near me, I will gladly come and help! You can do the battery deal 3 times so just keep rolling that $15 ECB into more batteries and you'll still leave the store with $15 to use within the next month.

That's a LOT of stuff. I guess I just have to try a little harder ;) .Thanks for sharing!
Anyone else? popcorn::

Thanks for posting your list, it got me off my butt - I just made up 2 bags for my husband to take to work to share, 1 bag for my mom, 1 box to donate and most of the rest put away. Along the way I put a stack of magazines in recycling - which reminds me..

I found 2 more of the Glade get a free warmer wyb refills - one was in October's Good Housekeeping and the other was in November's All You. That Good Housekeeping also had a BOGO refills. Here is a BOGO on the scented oil candle: http://www.glade.com/offers.aspx?offerId=102
They are $5.49 to $6.40 and count towards the deal (can do it 5 times), so final cost after ECB would be 49 cents plus tax for 2 for the lower-priced type.

Help!

I did my second duracell offer today w/ a little overage. My receipt says
"$50.95 towards this reward"
"$19.98 needed to earn reward"

Shouldn't that say only $10.05 needed to earn a third set? :confused3 It's $20 then $15 back correct?

It's $10.05 you need to buy.

This is very interesting though - it means that people only need to reach $19.98 to get the $15 ECB (which is 2 of the 16-packs). The $19.98 stands for the amount that triggers the ECB.

I'm in SC so no where near you! :goodvibes But thank you so much for the offer!!! My DS4 is sick today (thank God for my nanny!!) so I'm going to have to be quick tonight to get home and take care of him (no flames please, DH's leaving right after his class in a few minutes to go home to take care of him).

Diann - your shelves are bending just like mine! I was going to say I don't know how you have any TP left, but I realized you probably can't haul it back and forth to MD. We lasted 9 mos. without buying any TP :rotfl2:

I expect to find my shelves caved in every time I go back home. Here in MD I have metal shelves. Works much better

Oh yes the "Christmas" TP is still stacked up at home in TN. Should not have to buy TP there for a looooooooooong time.

Can you just see us headed up I 81 with TP stacked up against every window in our car.:rotfl2:

I put off the battery deal until today because I was stubborn and thought somehow I was going to find a $5/2 coupon. Of course everything was gone except the 4-packs for $5.29 (and knowing the 8-packs were $5.99 and 16-packs were $9.99, I couldn't bring myself to get them).

Luckily I looked on the other side of the display and found that the chargers and rechargeables counted and they also had $2 peelies on all of them.

cole6179's post shows that they've changed the trigger amount to $19.98, so this is what I bought (split up in a few transactions):

14.99 Charger with 2 AA rechargeables
44.97 (3) 4-packs AA rechargeables
-8.00 (4) $2 peelies
51.96 with $45 back in ECBs

I guess I can live with spending $6.96 for all those rechargeables. I would've bought 4 chargers and used them for gifts, but they only had 1.

WARNING for Wall-E:

People on other sites are reporting that $10 Wall-E coupons quit printing and they also lost their "count." This apparently is because the movie was released today.

Sounds like all $20 worth of Coke and the movie have to be purchased in the same transaction and the register is supposed to remove the $10 in the transaction. Most stores are aware of this and are price-adjusting the movie to $9.99 for those who say they've purchased the $20 in Coke products.

(hope this doesn't really mess you up newtodis - they usually don't change things half-way through the week)

It's been a long time since I've popped in here, but, ladies, let me tell you, that toilet paper stash is absolutely incredible. I've got tons of things of my own, but toilet paper eludes me:)

My husband ran into the Wall-E problem today, just as described, disappeared from his receipt, although we had bought the 10 2-liters on sunday. Thankfully, for once, it was a nice manager, who overrode the whole thing and gave him the movie for $9.99. Unfortunately, the coupons I got from coke rewards (a B1G1 and some $1 off ones) were not working. She said that coke did not reimburse them for coupons used on promotions, so CVS computers wouldn't accept them. I don't know if this is the truth, or the stuff that managers learn in "excuses to give customers to get them to shut up" school, but there was no way to get those coupons used. I saw that there was another coke deal at CVS for Black Friday (my first ever anywhere!) so hopefully they will get accepted there, for free coke:thumbsup2

Thanks for posting about the expansion of the glade deal - so much better than the buy 4 deal at Target that always had me spending at least $1 or so out of pocket each time. And thanks too for the ideas each week. I too was holding out for some duracell coupons that have not materialized and the rechargeables are a great idea that I'll do tomorrow.

One more thing, there is a $25 prescription gift card for NEW or transferred prescriptions on that i heart site. Used it tonight, worked perfectly, no beeps, so sort of made up for not being able to use the coupons;)

Thanks for posting this! Question for all you CVS experts out there. If a BOGO coupon is used, does the value of the free item still count toward accruing ECBs? For instance with the Glade deal this week. Do you have to spend $10 before coupons are scanned, or does the free item from the BOGO coupon not count?

Same thing happened to me for the Iron Man movie and manager took care of it

Are you working more than 1 now.

Wouldn't it be great to get more this year:santa:

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS FREE TOILET PAPER!

My vote is for "excuses to give customers to get them to shut up" :rotfl2: - they should've scanned though, wonder what was up with that ?

The free-after-coupon items count too, so as long as your items (pre-coupon) add up to the amount needed, you're good for the ECB. Any extra you spend over $10 carries into the next deal, and you can do the Glade thing 5 times for a total of $25 ECBs (and $50 in products) - if you find enough coupons (and products in stock!), you'll spend less than $25 to earn $25.

OK, so I have to know about the Christmas toilet paper. What is the deal you got last year. I want in on it this year!

Did anyone see the $5 rebate in Sunday's paper? But it says remove and send in the 'tab' over the upc - but I don't see a tab anywhere? Do the kids have to open it before we find the tab? (It couldn't be missing because its totally sealed tight)

CVS had 20 double-roll packs of Cottonelle on sale for $9.99 with a $2 ECB, limit of 5. That in itself was a really good deal, but.. they put them all on clearance for 75% off and still gave the $2 ECB, so even after you maxed the ECB deal, you were only paying $2.49 each. This was back when we all had our choice of $/$$ too. Some stores would take all the $/$$ coupons in one transaction, as long as the total met the highest value. You could get $75 worth of stuff and use a $15/75, $10/50, $5/30, $4/20, $5/15, $3/15 and a $2/10 in the same transaction (as long as they all had different codes) and then use your mfg. coupons and ECBs. Think of getting an instant $44 off $75, it was unreal. There were stores that encouraged this, especially in the midwest where CVS was newer.

At the same time as the TP, there was also a coupon on CVS.com for $5 off a pack of Energizer batteries. They put the 8-packs on sale for $5.29 so they were only 29 cents a pack - on top of that there was an ECB deal for $5 when you spent $15 on batteries.

All of that plus one of our fellow CVSer went searching for the TP we were all getting so cheap. When she asked a manager if they had any he replied, " Oh that was just a Christmas deal." Thus the Christmas paper good laugh.

BTW we still have a few of those batteries left in TN.
