Cultural differences?

You are kidding, right... You gotta be kidding... Perhaps you should go get some material on human sexuality and anatomy.

Culture says what is attractive sexually, and what is functional, etc. Take a look at the next National Geo, if you have questions. There are many, many parts of the body that have nice nerve endings... ;)

I know one of his friends looks at butts and breasts are not at all important to him. I have no idea what turns men on and why and frankly I don't care.

I doubt many guys could even tell you what J-Lo's look like. What part of her body did she insure again?

Ummmm, if a woman doesn't see anything sexual about her breast... Then she must be frigid, and her SO must be gay!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Seems to me *****es have 2 functions too. I enjoy my dh's some of the time but really can't say I'm turned on by watching him pee.

Oh please. Take a look at the number of post (more than 4xs yours) and where I post before making a stupid statemen like this. The OP has called American prudes before, so past history is valid in this case.

I could careless what you do with your ****s.

If you spent much time on the CB you will know which type of threads I am referring to.

you made the comment that his is a Disney board - as if nothing else could /should/is hardly ever posted on the CB board...I was addressing that...I think your bias clear - my statement stands!

I spend plenty of time on the CB board - just none of it stalking individuals or keeping a mental tally on how they post!!!!

Sorry you got it wrong. The Op said it was a discussion board. It is not a generatl disccussion board but it is a Disney discussion board. Some Disney boards allow OT threads and some do not. We have many subboards that can and do go OT.

There you go exaggerating again. :lmao: I do not stalk anybody:goodvibes and I have had many discussion with the OP and others that are on this thread. Since I have a brain and a memory after enough posts you know where they stand on certain subjects. There are many who I will agree with on in one thread and not in another. I still think highly of them.

To the woman (women) who say there is nothing sexual about a breast - that is total bunk. Aside from the fact that men of many cultures find them appealing, do you not get any sort of arousal when they are touched/fondled? I know I certainly do. Some women can even orgasm from nipular-stimulation. But, I forgot, they are just lumps of fat designed to feed babies.

Regarding the picture of the baby and the engorged breast - I don't find it offensive per se, but I question whether the breastfeeding is the best photo for a story about a lesbian baby boom - why not a photo of baby and his two mommies?

I made the same point some time ago. The photo was best suited for a article on breastfeeding.

#1 Yes there are cultural differences

#2 I do NOT think the OP was stirring the pot. She has simply observed this overtime being on the DIS (I distinctly recalla thread on Las Vegas and families.

#3 I have seen nip shots/"bewb" shots in European papers (mostly British). They just are not bothered. So to publish the pic in the OP--wasn't a big deal and wouldn't generate the sales of papers just from a nip being exposed as it would here. To them, I just don't think it is a "sensational" photo op. It just "is".

#4 I have NO qualms about NIP--the law protects it. Sure moms can do their best to be discrete--but even if there is an accidental pop off...well, just let it be known in Florida (and in Disney world)--mom is protected by law just in case you get an accidental flash. I nurse whereever is comfortable and if that means on a park bench b/c my baby wants to eat NOW....well that's where we are nursing. I will do my best not to flash you on purpose.:thumbsup2

#5 yes I do agree with the OP...that in some senses, Americans are more prudish than other cultures and in some ways much much less prudish (remember, some cultures--the women are completely covered from head to toe..or neck to toe...or whatever).

Someone mentioned 1yo's and teeth earlier on...all I can say is you can teach the baby not to bite...some learn and some don't and those moms make their decisions accordingly.

LMAO...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Seriously, that is so true and when a baby is shown by a woman's breast......the breast loses it's sexuality imo.

That is our cultural bias though.

The OP stated that nursing stats are much much much higher in her country---so that would be no diff than an article published in the US about new moms and babies...but being shown with a pacifier or a bottle.

This maybe TMI, but I'll go ahead. I get more stimulation from DH carassing the back of my knees than I do from my breasts. Seriously. Not ALL women have that response. And that is fine and natural.

Note to self:
Hug MJ really hard when I meet her, but stay away from her knees.
