Yep, that's right - can't even get the doors open.

No dog or cat to walk, just a tropical bird that thinks this is way to cold and wants to know where the sun is and when will we be in Florida again!

The neighbors were out earlier this morning with their 2 huskies pulling a sled.

Also had another neighbor riding around on an ATV

And DH doesn't think we live in the middle of nowhere! Just because there is a grocery store a few miles away.

Well, we just had some excitement here. Our outdoor cat finally went outside and came back in --- with a bird!!!!! We had bird flying around house, cat chasing bird, indoor kitty running around, dog getting upset. Rich finally was able to throw towel over bird and release it back outside unharmed where it flew away.

Stupid cat though, didn't see the catching and releasing of the bird part and is going all over looking up in the air for it, around the walls and cabinets and whatnot. Too funny. He is also searching under everything too. Now he is crying! Oh just too funny. "Oh where, o where did my little bird go, o where o where can she beeeee????"

And the little kitty is following all over in the big cats footsteps: "Maybe you missed it. I'll find the bird for you Ollie!"

Well, gonna go and get some stuff done around here. May as well take advantage of spending the day indoors.

Hey Dan - Really DO hope you feel better.

oops - Now that cat is eyeing our indoor bird - "Did she take refuge in your cage???"

Rosemary & Dan - you guys are crackin' me up. I just love the banter back and forth.

Dan - Chris built our website, maybe he could help you with yours. However, I will warn you, I call him a computer geek, but he is a good teacher. You can take a look at our website, www.rodgersfamily.cc A lot of the pictures and comments are old, but you can see what he's done.

Rosemary - I love the story about the cat and the bird. Cats are silly, aren't they? Our cat likes to bring lizards in from the pool deck into the house. Chris will catch them and put them back outside. But, the cats run around for an hour looking for the lizard. Silly kitties!!!

OK that last "drink" of liguid "crap" knocked me out! It is still snowing here, we are supposed to have 9" total by tonight.

The good news I got today is my bonus check came in. But I don't need it so it can stay at work another day. Should I pay off this cruise, pay off the September cruise or just book a cruise in January?

Rosemary--- Loved the cat and bird story. Adds excitement to the snowed in day. I agree with you I don't like snow or the cold.

Nancy (CI)--- Our back door was nearly snowed in this morning. I had to get it open a small amount and then squeeze through to shovel out another path for the dogs. Norm and Erik then snowblowed a path for them in the yard. The couldn't get off the porch until they made a path for them. If looks like we have about 24" though I didn't measure it. Waiting for the snow plow to go through and block the driveway.

Since I was snowed it I have made it official and booked the Magic for 10/11 through DVC. Went with the cat 6 and we are in Room 6598. It is 2 rooms up from where we were on the 9/28 cruise. I would like to check out someone navigator room during the cruise to see if we would like it and maybe next time can book a navigator. So Eric you can put us into the green category. I also made my reservations for our May trip to WDW. Since I can't be there, at least I can make all my plans for the future trips. Guess next I need to make the Radisson reservations.

Bette-- Just don't serve any yellow snowcones.

Hi Gang! We are back from Hilton Head and had a wonderful time. Sat was really beautiful (weather wize) and the "girls" went horseback ridiing and the "Boys" went Kayaking(sp?). Sunday was rainy all day but we made the best of it. We watched the Daytona 500 (bummer it was cut short by rain ) and the kids played pool, visited the swimming pool between down pours. We hated to leave today, but plan on going again before the summer get here.
Sorry to all of you having "Snow Problems". Stay warm!!!

Peter...I hope you two join our bunch! I know we have never met but I feel like I know you!

Eric...love the list/deck plans!

RellingTwin - I'm so glad that you guys had a good weekend at HH. Someday, we will have to make our way over there.

Dan - Are you feeling any better? I feel your pain. I've been sick since last Thursday and I just wish it would be over. Thank goodness, my congestion has gone away, but now it's leaving behind a sore throat. Pixie dust for you to make you feel better.

Nancy - Your cabin isn't too far from ours. We're in 6090, just on the other side of the ship.

To all those who are snowed in, boy I hope it stops soon, for your sake. I love to look at the falling snow, but I hated to have to deal with it. That's why I live in FL now, instead of Chicago.

I thought I would go ahead and say "Hello" to the group. We have been so busy over the last several weeks since we were added to Erik's list that this is the first chance I have had to say "HI!"

My Name is Chris DeFouw and my wife is Michelle, and we are from Columbus, actually Grove City, Ohio. We love to cruise, and try to go at least once a year. Unfortunately we cannot afford to go on Disney all the time though. We are DVC members since 1999 and this will be our second Disney Cruise, our first was a 7 Day Eastern in December of 2001. We booked this cruise in December 2002 using DVC points. We are in Cat 7 cabin 7626 this time. We had 7026 reserved for our first cruise but were upgraded to a Cat 3 and were not about to complain about it. So this will be our first cruise in a Cat 7. My wife and I are definitely looking forward to meeting all of the other Cruisetoberfest members.
We are starting our vacation Thursday night, Oct 9 with a late flight to Orlando. We will be staying at the Marriott Fairfield Inn at the Airport. Friday we are planning to go to Universal Studios, and then Saturday use a Limo Service to the Port. If anyone is looking for a recommendation on a Limo Service from Orlando, I will definitely recommend Yourride.net. We used them for our cruise last year, (RCCL 4 day from Port Canaveral) and they were fantastic. After the cruise we are going back to WDW for two nights at the Beachclub, our first stay there in the Villas. We are returning home on 10/20.
I must say this topic on the board is definitely something of an amazing thing. I tried to go through each page, but after about 30 pages, I had to start skipping through. I have never seen a topic this long, and we still have 8 months to go.

Welcome fellow buckeyes! Scott and I are from Mansfield and are also DVC members. Along with us we have 6 crazy nuts traveling with us, notably my mother and sister are amoung the bunch.

You will most likely be the first Cruisetoberfest people that we meet as we are also flying Thursdat night from Columbus. I am assuming you are flying on the Delta flight that leaves at 9pm. We are staying at the Sheraton Suites by the airport. We got a rate of $66 for the night. You might want to check it out as when I checked the Fairfield Inn it was $80 or so.

Just finished shoveling/snow blowing our way to the street. Not too bad. Only took about 4 hours. Good thing we like snow.

Looks like I'm working Friday so we'll probably fly in late. At this point we plan to stay at OKW and take Happy Limo.

Unless of course this whole airport stuff becomes too annoying. Then I'll take off an extra day or two and either drive or do the autotrain.
