We are a talkative bunch lately! I have no hopes of catching up with the thread, but I'll give it a shot.

We're having a lazy day today. Watching it snow... they're calling for 1-3" today, another 3-6" tonight and 2-4" tomorrow. Guess we'll see. Come on Spring!!

Josh still not feeling well. His appetite is coming back slowly, but he's got a horrible cough and is sleeping a lot. If he's not showing improvement by morning, I'll call the dr and see what's up. Wish me luck getting through on a Mon. a.m. Thank goodness he was off school Friday and tomorrow or he'd be missing a lot.

Hope the twins are having a great weekend at HH.

It was fun chatting with everyone Friday night and Sat. a.m. I'll need some practice with that chat room. Tonight is our family chat. Usually my mom and two of my sisters from FL, my dd here in OH, one of my cousins in PA, aunt in NY, sister in NY. We chat Sun and Wed nights to keep the family in touch. Sometimes have other cousins, aunts, etc. pop in from WA, VA, etc. We're scattered all over the country and I have a big family.

I'm separating posts so they're not so long.... need to read some more.

Colleen

Dan-- I have a sister who also hates taking pills. She always requests her meds in liquid form and if it's not available, she chews the pills up! Sounds horrible to me!

Welcome Sarah's Mom and Videoman!

Tammy-- You found the right place! Keep on posting!

Seems like a lot of our group is under the weather right now. Hope everyone's starting to feel better.

Elaine--Sounds like your WDW trip was fantastic!

Mary-- The toenail thing sounds painful! I wouldn't have known about a fungal infection from a pedicure. Hope it's feeling better.

Nancy (padisneyfan)-- Did you rent and watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding yet? We bought it and watched it last night and laughed so hard! Very good movie.

Fiona-- I had to smile about the hard to awaken teenager. My oldest DS delivered newspapers and had to be up very early to get done and then shower and get to school. He was always a really heavy sleeper and hard to wake up. He finally told me to just spray him with some water from a spray bottle and then stand back! I resisted this idea at first, but then tried it and it worked! He got up real fast... and I made sure I sprayed and ran!

Still reading posts! Back in a bit to finish up.

It started snowing here around 5:30am and they are now calling for 18-24" before it ends on Monday. If the winds pick up we will have blizzard conditions. So glad I did the grocery run before the storm. Normally, I avoid doing that as I always feel we can get to the store by the next day. However, the last time we had 2' of snow, we never got plowed out until 48 hours after it stopped snowing. DS#1 (Erik) is stuck with us as he won't be able to make it back to college. He doesn't have class until Tuesday, but I doubt that he can get back to school until Wednesday. He is not a happy camper. 20 years ago I was 9 months pregnant with this child when we had a really bad snow storm over Valentine's Day that dumped 36" of snow. Thanks heavens I didn't go into labor as there was no way to get me to the hospital. After the storm all the neighbors came with their snowblowers to make sure our driveway was the first one cleared out to get me to the hospital if I needed to go. So 20 years later we are stuck together again in a major storm.

Eric--- I know exactly what you mean about not being able to get personalized name items. Over here they all are Eric. I will have to ask him if there is anything he would want with Erik on it. So when I had DS#2, I stuck with Brian instead of Bryan.

Taswira--- My son check out your website and really enjoyed your pictures.

I had a terrible time getting on line today so better send this before I get bumped off AOL.

Later,
Nancy

thanks taswira i also looked up the rooms and saw that any cat 7 would be ok even deck 5 ...... will let u all know when we get this worked out peter

Colleen,

We watched the movie on our 9/28 cruise and really enjoyed it. It was one of the funniest movies I have seen in awhile. We went to rent it for the weekend, but the video stores we wiped out of all new rentals of any movies because of the storm. So we went to Wal Mart and bought it. They only had DVD's left and only about a dozen in the store. Thank heavens we have both VCR and DVD. I figure that once we watch it can send to college with the boys and they can watch them on their computers as they have DVDs on the computers.

So you aren't going to get as much snow as we are? Wonder how much Pittsburgh is getting as DS#2 goes to college out there.

I didn't realize I was so behind on the thread till I got started today. So, here goes....

Nancy--Thanks for asking about the weight loss. I lost two pounds last week and hoping for more of the same this week. I weigh on Monday a.m.'s. so we'll see tomorrow.

Fiona-- Congrats on the -1/2 pound! I figure any loss is better than a gain. Great start!

Dan-- Love the idea of embroidered t-shirts, but I'm betting we could only use the Cruisetoberfest II logo and not the German Mickey... although he is really cute.

Elaine-- I've found some really good WW recipes from the community recipe exchange on their website. I think you can register for free and access the message boards and recipes. I found one of our favs there for blueberry banana oatmeal muffins.... making them later today.

Eric-- I agree, we should try to get all the kids in our group communicating before the cruise. Any other parents interested in this for the kids? Any ideas on how to get them started? I'm not sure what everyone would be comfortable with letting their kids do.

Welcome TnRobin-- Glad you're joining us. We also have 1st dining.

Eric-- Love the addition of the labelled staterooms! We are close to several others from our group on deck 6.

Hi back to Rosemary! Glad you know who I am now.

Amy & Chris-- Sorry to hear about the stunt accident on your WDW trip. I hope the guy is ok. Can't wait to see the pics of Emily's first haircut.

Hygiene99-- I did a double take on your signature. My two oldest kids are Pete and Jen. :) It would be great if you could join us on the October cruise.

I think I'm done now! Whew!

Take care, all.

Colleen

Nancy-- If we're going to get even the amount of snow they're forecasting, it will have to pick up the pace a bit. It's snowing some, but not very hard.

So, your Erik must be having a birthday soon. Happy Birthday, Erick! Cute story.

We also just went ahead and bought the DVD of Big Greek Wedding. Kmart had it for $14.99 and we can loan it to the big kids to watch.

Dan--- Do you trade your pins? We only have a few pins that we've bought or were given to us, but I wouldn't want to trade the ones I like. We got to see lots of pins at the DISmeet we went to last week. If I'm doing this right, you can see pics here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=327084

Rain Rain go away! It has been raining for two straight days here. So far for the month of February we have had 5.25 inches or 13.335cm of rain. High Friday is going to be 58F. Tomorrow the high is going to be 28F. At least it isn't snow:teeth: if it had been snow that would have been 52.5 inches:p

Welcome to Peter and the family hope that you are able to join us. The more the merrier.

Dan I know what you mean about the pins, Kathy has started to collect them. Oh my aching wallet;)

Hope that everyone is staying warm and dry. Mike

My acuweather update. We currently have 12" on the ground, it is snowing 1" per hour. They now say we are going to have 24-30" of snow until it is done on Monday night. I had to shovel a path for the dogs, they refused to go out the door. They are beagles so have short legs and they couldn't squat.

Mike--- Good thing you did just have rain or you would be in worse shape than I am with the snow.

I was two weeks over due with Erik so his birthday is March 2. Thanks for the birthday wishes for him.

Good luck Fiona, Colleen, and Elaine with your diets this week. Norm told me if I went out and shoveled the snow, I wouldn't need to do my Walk away the pounds video. I pass rather stay in the warm and walk then shovel snow.

Since we have snow, the high school hockey game on Monday night will be cancelled and will get to see the final episode of Joe Millionaire. Yea.

Wonder if the twins got home safe. Mary did you watch the Daytona rain shortened race. Norm said that would be his luck if we went to it and only see 1/2 a race.

Talk to you all later.

Nancy

Cool Peter - glad you are thinking of cruising with us.

As for SPR - as of Friday there were none. I asked for one. There also are no Cat 10s on Deck 7 - I asked that too. Hope you get a Cat 7 - I didn't have enought points for one of those, so Ididn't ask. Maybe they will have a decent upgrade price at the port and I can get one, else I will stay where I am.

Nancy ( CE )

We haven't ventured outside all weekend. DH will work from home tomorrow. I have to go to work at 2pm. I guess we'll be shoveling all morning. DH actaully bought a snow blower 2 summers ago and thought he would never get to use it. He's used it twice so far this year. He just loves the snow. I wish I didn't have to go to work in it. I've driven around in hurricaines for fun and I would drive around in a blizzard for fun but I hate HAVING to drive in it to go to work.

Latest predictions are 2+ feet for the Philly area. I think we're up to 16 inches already. Supposed to snow 2 - 4 inches/hour overnight. Hey, maybe all retail establishments will decide to close. I'm willing to burn a sick day.

Nancy ( CI )

Eric,

BTW, I never did get version 18. Must have gotten lost in the snow.

Nancy

Well, I just had my laugh of the day! Nice post honey!!!! :teeth:

Windermere - Your list got lost in the snow?!! Geez, I guess it fell out of the sled somewhere between NY and PA. Hope Eric sends you a replacement one soon.

Colleen - I checked out the photos from your link to the DIS Ohio meet. You look like my friend Carla!!! LOL Loved the story of squirting your son with water to wake him up. I could just imagine the reaction I would get if I ever did that with my son!

It started snowing here about 8 p.m. They are predicting a lot. Glad we are off tomorrow. Trying to stay warm. You guys all do same.

Amy and Chris - Let us know when the haircut photos are up. Now I'm more anxious to see the ones of Chris rather than Emily after hearing about it. Sorry your day was cut short.

Cutting this short too. Tired. Everyone stay safe and warm.

Oh! BTW - Thank you Tulirich for posting tonight. Hope to see you posting more often! ;)

YIKES!!! I woke up about half an hour ago to SNOW! SNOW! SNOW!!! EVERYWHERE!!!!! And it is STILL snowing! I really hate the winter.......
