Crowd difference between July and August

Hi. We have planned to arrive at the Fort the 2nd week of August, but now our niece is wanting to join us. She is a varsity player and has sports commitments starting in August. If we go the last week of July, will there be a huge crowd difference? We've only ever been during moderate times...September, May, August, and twice in June. We've avoided July like the plague. How much difference will a week and a half make? Thanks so much for your input.

We have never been in August but a quick look at crowd charts on some sites show they look the same...hot and crowded. We've never been during a non-crowded time because of school/work schedules and have several July trips under our belts. July 4th is much fun at the Fort. On our July trips, we used July 4th as a campground day and avoided the park crowds. I would go with what works best for your family.

It's hot. HOT! be prepared to melt! We've been late July and early/mid Aug. Most of the crowds are not too bad. The heat is a big factor. I think a lot of the pools are much more crowded.

Thank you. We're from Texas, we know about HOT. Ha.

We have been to Disney in July & August in the past (no more summers for us though) and as pp's said, Hot, hot, hot & humid - dripping humid!!! Not much difference in any of the summer months.

I'm also a deep south girl (south LA), but not many people stay out in the heat 'all day' like you do at Disney - not too much fun!

Haven't been in July, but have been in August (mid) and as been eluded to, it's HOT (in fact when we were there many people from Florida described it as "Unseasonably" Hot. Oh Joy for us, right?) It was also pretty crowded despite the temperature. Sounds like July would be much of the same.

Yea but the difference is East Coast humidity. It's so much worse than Texas heat.
You know, we've discussed the heat differences several times. We find it much more pleasant in Orlando(when we're in the parks at night) ;-)
