Cover Letter Advice

OK, so this is a really odd request, but I'm pretty desperate at this point. I'm a student that is looking for a better job basically just to make more money to pay the rent and tuition. I really need advice on a cover letter that I'm writing.(Its pretty bad at the moment) Can I post it here and ask for a few people to critique it? I wasn't sure if that violates any policy, but this is the biggest online forum I've ever seen!

I've been in the business arena for 30 years now and I STILL need a little help with cover letters. Do a search on the kind of cover letter you want to submit and do like I do...CUT AND PASTE and just insert your personal info.

Saves you a LOT of headaches... and keeps hiring people like me from cracking up!

I lookes at one lastnight that was one long run on sentence that didnt use any punctuation the entire time and used the word i incesently plus teir was lots of typos annd speling errors and grammer problems thru the hole thing ia no im not the best with spelling and stuff like that but when i write a cover letter i at least use spell check this one was absolutely ridiculous and rambled on for over half a page about things that had nothing to do with the persons qualificiation for the position it was just going on about how they dont make enough money where they work now and need a job with more money that will still leave them time for a social life and how they cant work sundays and mondays for som reason and how they want to make about five times more than we normally pay for that position but they know they will be worth it to us because theve got a couple years of experience ringing a register at some fast food palce and it was just so udderly rediculus that i actually passed it to the hiring manager for comic releef!!!!!!!!

That is a good example of how NOT to write a cover letter.
