Costco Has 4 Day Park Hoppers For $259.99

Gosh, I've never been so happy to start a thread! So glad my trip to Costco that day has helped soooo many people save money on their trips. I'm so excited for all the Disers who have up-coming trips....enjoy yourselves!!!

Has anyone purchased and used these tickets yet? Do you need to sign them at the gate? Did anyone get solid information about upgrading them?

Can the gift cards be used by any Costco member? In other words, if I can find someone willing to purchase the tickets/gift cards for me (since I'm in TX and as far as I know they're not being sold here), would I be able to use the gift cards?

I really really want in on this deal since we're FOR SURE going in Feb!!!

Anybody can use a Costco Cash Card/Gift Card. Only a Costco member can buy or re-load a Costco Cash Card.

So, if you can find a member to buy the tickets for you, you should have no problem spending the cash cards w/o a membership.

Thanks! Now onto step 2...find a member in the states mentioned here. Wracking my brain for a friend who trusts me to pay back a thousand dollars:)

Thank you for this post. We bought ours at at a Costco in Las Vegas, NV. i called and tgey had 46 in stock. I purchased three initially then I bought the last using the 3 initial gift cards. We plan in going this December and would like to upgrade to AP. I am hoping ticket value is $259. If anyone knows for sure, please post.

Are the tickets sold out at some stores? I was told if the first batch of tickets sells out that Costco will get more. I'm not sure if that's true or not.

I was at Lakewood, CA store today and they told me there was 'plenty' . I'll be buying some this week.

Bought my tickets today at the Modesto, CA store.

Bought three, then planned on using $150 in cash cards to buy fourth ticket. Problem was, they couldn't accept cash cards for payment today. After I explained that I lived about 50 miles from the store, the very nice supervisor made it possible for me to use cash cards at the member services desk. I didn't use fourth card cash card, I'm using it to buy gas ON MY WAY TO DISNEYLAND!! :cool1:

I upgraded mine to a Deluxe annual pass today and actually got $275 credit towards the annual pass. They kind of gave me a hard time and the lady brought over a manager and I heard them discussing how much Costco was charging for the tickets. The tickets scanned valued at $275 so they gave me that towards the upgrade finally. Don't know how long it will last but good luck to everyone that gets the $275 value. My wife even commented that she thought they would fix the value soon.

A friend of mine here in Western WA saw the Disney hopper passes at our local Costco this weekend.

As others have mentioned, anyone can use a Costco cash card. They don't have to be a member. We used to get them for our son so that he could gas up at Costco. You have to be 18 to be a Costco member, so he couldn't gas up at Costco once he got his license. Then a friend who worked at Costco suggested we just buy Costco cash cards. Worked perfectly--that was all he needed to gas up there. He also found that he could get into Costco with a Costco cash card, even though he didn't have a membership card. Another son would use an empty cash card to get in and then buy a hot dog and soda with cash. :-)

Um, WOW! That's amazing!! Lucky you. I hope others have the same luck (and by that, I mean my husband). If anyone else has different results, please report back.

That is great. How would they know it is from Costco btw? We have not been able to afford to go in many years so are splurging with an ap since it seems more cost effective. We have been planning to go since last year and were sad when the prices jumped so high. I hope they keep the value. We are not going until December though so I'll cross my fingers. Thanks for the info!

Has anyone had success in upgrading from these 4-day passes to a 5-day pass?

Sooo...... is it against the board rules to see if anyone is willing to sell the last day of their 4-day pass? I'd be willing to pay $100 for each pass... after Cash Card, the price would net out to $109.99 for 3 day park hopper.

I could use 4-5 tickets and could meet at DL just about any day/time.

Any one interested can PM me.

Got some today at the American Fork, Utah Costco! The cashier and the manager were discussing whether there was a limit of 5 tickets per membership. I only needed 3 so I didn't pursue it further, but it was something they were discussion!

I'm sure it is against Dis Board rules but it wouldn't work. The backs of these tickets have to be signed and they're ID-ing people because of the ticket renting scam so multiple people can't use them.

Good luck getting a good deal on your tickets!

WWWWOW! I didn't see that coming. Sounds like you scored. This strikes me as the first "discount promotion" since tickets were increased and Carsland opened.

I'm very curious to see what others report in the coming weeks. We either need to add a 5th day or upgrade to Delulxe AP. But here is the mind-bender:

How would they handle adding a 5th day to a $275 4-day value when a 5-day kids park hopper is $270? (2 adults, 3 kids).

Actually I'm not sure it matters. If the upgrade value is $275, I would have no choice but to get an AP and plan a second trip next year. The value per day on the 2nd trip is too good to pass up. But it's still a pure money maker for Disney in my case (staying on site). Disney: You should keep it!
