I called my Costco today. The employee I spoke to said that you needed to ask at the checkout for the Disneyland passes...they were not on a display in the store.
At the Salem Costco there is a cardboard display thing you give the cashier at checkout then tell them how many you want.

I took the time to go back to Costco today and they said absolutely not. I said I confirmed yesterday and they didn't seem to care and were actually kind of rude about it. They refused to cash out the cards after I talked to a manager. The only thing I was able to do was to return one of the passes and apply the original cash card to the second pass when I repurchased it.
It's not like I expected it and thought it was random they would cash them out to begin with, but when I confirmed with their employee, I thought okay, nice perk. Well to be treated like a jerk when I went in today was pretty lame. I asked the customer service person to maybe spread the word that they are giving out wrong information. He blew me off, so when I picked up my new pass, I told the manager that she should let anyone who answers as an operator to make sure they're not telling people wrong information.
I am actually surprised that they would allow you to cash out full value cash cards. I know they have to cash out anything under $10 (in California) but to cash out $50 cards meant to be spent in the store would be a surprise to me.I think the cash out policy changed a while back when people started churning them to earn FF rewards.
Checked at the Surrey, BC Costco, but they didn't have them. Asked them to check at the Bellingham store and she said they have 200. Went down today and bought 4 tickets, applied the gift cards for the first three to the cost of the 4th. Still have 1 $50 gift card. Thanks OP!
Can anyone share the Costco item number for the tickets? With that information, your local Costco can search for inventory at other stores. -- Suzanne
Can you look into the dates, and how long the time frame is in which you have to use them, and report back? Thanks!I saw these being sold at the Kirkland WA Costco yesterday. I didn't look too closely, biut the display pieces in the gift card section seemed to actually have a later expiration date than what's being reported here (I think sometime in mid-April or so.) I'd have to double check on this. Normally I'd jump on this (especially since it looks like I will most likely end up getting an AP again after inadvertently convincing my friends that they want to get them) but I'm not sure we're going to be back by then.
