Does the lounge at El Centro offer Sangria? Thanks for any information you can supply.
 

I am hear now, I am kind of disappointed! It is huge!! None of our requests were made. We tried to upgrade several times, but were told there was
 
Here now. Very disappointed. None of our requests were made our room is in rancheros and so far from everything. When I called to change rooms I was told the wait was too long and they would call me back. That was 3 hours ago. I am hoping this isn't a trend for our trip.

I'm sorry you're disappointed. DO NOT call, go down to the front desk and speak to them. When you call the" front desk" you actually get a call center. Those CMs at the call center can't help with room issues.
 
Oh no its really sad that no room requests were granted :( I'm going down next month and I hope mine are Goodluck

Can you elaborate? What were your requests? What do you mean by "we tried to upgrade several times"? Just want to understand what it is that you are not getting.

Also agree that you need to go to the front desk to get room reassignments done. If I am not happy with my room assignment, I try to get it changed before I leave the front desk. Many times, they have not been able to accommodate my request the first day but are willing to move me the next day.

I know that people put a lot of time and money into their vacation, but I really hate people feeling like their vacation is somehow compromised because they did a request is not met.

I agree! A request doesn't guarantee anything. Just because my kids ask nicely for something doesn't mean I'm going to comply. If you really need a specific location, then pony up and pay for a preferred room in the Casitas or business class in the Cabanas.

KaLyn - that is what I did for my trip starting tomorrow. I paid the extra for Business Class because I knew we would be Cabanas 9. DH and I both like to have a little something to eat before we hit the parks and did not want to be bothered with shopping and keeping stuff in a little fridge so it's worth it for us to pay the extra.

That being said, my last time at CSR in December, I requested Casitas 4 or 5, and ended up in Casitas 3 which is considered preferred. Many times, they have not been able to accommodate my requests at other resorts. I try to just go with the flow...

The best time to ask for a change is first thing in the morning. We checked in very late and were put in ranchos too but told to try to change the next morning. I called ( was too tired to walk and stand in line) and was not only given my request of cabanas but also upgraded to a pool/lake view.

My request was to keep our party of 10 together in rooms adjacent. I tried to get a room change when we checked in, but was told they were completely booked. My sister went to the front desk after we hiked to our rooms, and was told that we have chosen the wrong vacation if we concerned for our father walking. I went down a second time. And was told that there were no records of my requests on the reservations, which is baloney because I am very thorough. After more conversation, they found my requests. I don't like the run around we have gotten here and I am hoping we wake up to a better day. My family works really hard and yes, our vacation was compromised. But not because my requests were not met, but because my situation was not handled in the right way.

There's an internal memo floating around that beginning 10/27 some resorts will no longer be issuing KTTW cards in addition to the MBs. No mention of which resorts yet. Anyone staying at CSR in the very near future that can report back? We check in 11/14 and are crossing our fingers CSR is still getting KTTW cards then!

I check in 11/14 too! I hate not knowing what's going on and what our circumstances will be when we get there (as far as fast passes). Sounds like we really will be limited to the three choices which stinks.
I am starting to worry about our room request - close to transportation - but dont think we will try to move after we get in our room. That's why I don't want to do a split stay and have to mess with the packing and unpacking twice.
I am not so worried about the housekeeping issues that have been reported. I only want garbage taken out and clean towels. I remove most of the hotel linens anyway so don't really want them messing with the beds. Maybe a vacuum once during the week would be nice.

We check in on 10/31... So I'll report back- I like having an actual room key so I hope it's not true!
