Paradise to the Treasure-A Polynesian/Eastern Caribbean/Spring Adventure 2025...Updated 6/18

"Dang it! Give me my gold lanyard or give me death!"
Exactly! :rotfl:

So Allie does not get a gold lanyard?
She got one but didn't care enough tp bother changing her card
What made it so?
It's super cushy and in a great spot to watch the movie on the big screen. I think it needs an umbrella!

Tacos look pretty tasty. :)
I'm almost embarrassed at how many times we got these!

So you're saying you need me on the cruise, standing by for excess shrimp.
Well someone has to sacrifice themselves, it may as well be you!

She got one but didn't care enough tp bother changing her card
Sacrilege!
It's super cushy and in a great spot to watch the movie on the big screen.
That’ll do it. :)
I think it needs an umbrella!
I bet Allie disagrees. ;)
I'm almost embarrassed at how many times we got these!
Well someone has to sacrifice themselves, it may as well be you!
::yes::

NOT SO MARVEL-OUS DINNER

Tonight's rotational dining brought us to my least favorite restaurant on all the DCL ships...
IMG_3387 (1).jpeg
I know some of this is because I am not a big Marvel/Superhero fan,
but I also don't really love the menus and I find the show loud and annoying.
This was my third time trying it, both of my previous times had been on the Wish,
and maybe I was just slightly hopeful that it would be better on the Treasure.
I'm sure there are some 10 year-old boys out there loving this restaurant ::yes::

Anyway, here we are in all of our blue neon glory...
IMG_3372.jpeg

Tonight's show included trivia and I was actually surprised
by how well Allie did with some of the questions.
Her boyfriend has made her watch a bunch of these movies recently so it was all fresh in her mind.
And don't worry, she's also made him watch The Notebook and The Greatest Showman in return :P

There was some button pushing on this thing that I didn't quite catch, or care about...
IMG_3384 (1).jpeg

IMG_3391.jpeg

And then dinner was a kind of blah Iceberg Wedge,
IMG_3386 (1).jpeg

followed by a steak off the lighter-fare side of the menu.
I was already getting sick of steak at this point but the other choices didn't appeal to either of us
so we both ordered the same thing.
IMG_3393 (1).jpeg

The grand finale included a chaotic visit from Spiderman himself...
IMG_3407.jpeg

Allie got this cute sundae topped by a doughnut for dessert...
IMG_3416 (1).jpeg

and I got the flourless chocolate beetroot cake, which was just as tasty as it sounds :rotfl:
IMG_3417.jpeg

Sorry to the Marvel fans out there! I am happy you all have a restaurant that fills your Superhero loving heart but if I am lucky enough to sail the Treasure or the Wish again,
I will be ordering room service this night.

Our night continues in next post!

BACK TO THE 90'S

After dinner Allie and I decided to go up on deck.
They were having Mickey's Color Spin Dance Party up there and we wanted to see what it was about. Plus it was a beautiful night and it was so nice to be up there in the fresh air.

There was some sing-along going on when we got there...
IMG_3425.jpeg

And then the dance party started.
IMG_3431 (1).jpeg

IMG_3432.jpeg
Mickey and Minnie came out and I know the pic is far away but if you look closely,
you can see Mickey is dressed in his 90's gear,,,
IMG_3438.jpeg

But the crowd went crazy when Max and Goofy came out...
IMG_3448 (1).jpeg
Now I know there are some Max-obsessed people out there but don't hate me if I don't "get it."
I was well past cartoon watching in the 90's and Allie wasn't even born yet.
Overall though this was cute show and it was fun to see everyone dancing and enjoying themselves.

Afterwards we went to see The Fly Boys which was the big show for this evening.
This was a musical swing show where they swingify Disney songs.
It was a cute show and they are very talented.
IMG_3464.jpeg

We ended the night with what else...
IMG_3467 (1).jpeg
We were very hit or miss with General Knowledge and I think this night was a miss!
Still fun though!

We were back in our room by 10,
IMG_3422.jpeg

and were soon counting sheep...
IMG_3419.jpeg
(Is that even a sheep? Haha!)

We would be in Tortola tomorrow with an early excursion planned.
That's next!

my least favorite restaurant on all the DCL ships...
Don't beat about the bush, Kelly. Tell us how you really feel about it.

I know some of this is because I am not a big Marvel/Superhero fan,
but I also don't really love the menus and I find the show loud and annoying.
Three strikes.
I'm sure there are some 10 year-old boys out there loving this restaurant ::yes::
That alone is reason enough for me to skip it.
Anyway, here we are in all of our blue neon glory...
 Such flattering light!
Her boyfriend has made her watch a bunch of these movies recently so it was all fresh in her mind.
And don't worry, she's also made him watch The Notebook and The Greatest Showman in return :P
:lmao:
There was some button pushing on this thing that I didn't quite catch, or care about...
 Really getting into this, aren't you!
And then dinner was a kind of blah Iceberg Wedge,
Did it come like that? Or did you take the pic after you cut it up?
Otherwise... that is not a wedge salad.
followed by a steak
Was it edible at least?
IMG_3407.jpeg
Allie's got the moves down. Definitely seen a movie or two.
Allie got this cute sundae topped by a doughnut for dessert...
Looks huge!
And... I have no idea what "PYM" stands for.
and I got the flourless chocolate beetroot cake, which was just as tasty as it sounds :rotfl:
:lmao:
if I am lucky enough to sail the Treasure or the Wish again,
I will be ordering room service this night.
High praise indeed. :rolleyes1
They were having Mickey's Color Spin Dance Party up there and we wanted to see what it was about
Sounds... frenetic.
There was some sing-along going on when we got there...
How many were singing? Just a few? Almost everyone? 50/50?
Now I know there are some Max-obsessed people out there but don't hate me if I don't "get it."
I was well past cartoon watching in the 90's and Allie wasn't even born yet.
I'm with you. Same circumstance.
This was a musical swing show where they swingify Disney songs.
That sounds good. :)
We ended the night with what else...
IMG_3467 (1).jpeg
Of course!
IMG_3419.jpeg

(Is that even a sheep? Haha!)
Gonna go with... yes.
We would be in Tortola tomorrow with an early excursion planned.
That's next!
popcorn::

I found a chair in the shade next to a very nice lady who, along with her husband, had taken her adult children and all their grandchildren on this cruise. Goals 🙌
How super nice of them!
The guy loaded me up with shrimp but it was kind of too much and I couldn't even finish it.
Yeah, that's a lot!! I can eat about 2 even before I'd eaten other stuff.
I ordered the All Hands on Deck from Room Service to snack on while we were getting ready...
IMG_3371 (1).jpeg
What a great little tide-over snack; especially since dinner wasn't the greatest.
And don't worry, she's also made him watch The Notebook and The Greatest Showman in return :P
Touche! This is perfect!
and I got the flourless chocolate beetroot cake, which was just as tasty as it sounds :rotfl:
Mmmmmm!!! Yummy!

I love Marvel in a selfish way, lol 😂 I only like the beautiful men who play the roles of Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America 🇺🇸 :rotfl: The other Marvel characters meh to me!
The sea days sound wonderful right about now!
I have heard the adult area is small on the Treasure, what did you think?
Excited to hear about your excursion

Did it come like that? Or did you take the pic after you cut it up?
Otherwise... that is not a wedge salad.
That was after I cut it up. I do love a good wedge but this wasn't it. It needed a little something more...this tasted like I was eating straight up lettuce.

Was it edible at least?
Sure, let's go with edible.

How many were singing? Just a few? Almost everyone? 50/50?
I uploaded a video to you tube but it cuts off just before anyone actually sings :P

And here are a couple more shorts from the party in case anyone is interested...

I only like the beautiful men who play the roles of Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America
:rotfl2: You aren't wrong!

The sea days sound wonderful right about now!
They're soooo nice!

I have heard the adult area is small on the Treasure, what did you think?
It is a little small and sometimes hard to find seats, especially in the prime spots. We always managed somehow to find some though and other than that the adult area didn't bother us.

MARCH 4, 2025
GOOD MORNING TORTOLA

We woke to the most incredible view...
IMG_3477.jpegIMG_3481 (1).jpeg

We had an early excursion planned so we were up in Marceline's having a bit of breakfast by 6:45 am.
It was too early for either of us to be super hungry just yet but our excursion didn't include food so we figured we'd be safe and just eat something now.
IMG_3485 (1).jpeg
We also grabbed a couple boxes of cereal to bring off the ship with us in case we wanted a snack for later. It kind of still burns my butt that DCL doesn't have Uncrustables anymore on the ships. They were the perfect thing to bring off for a snack because they were factory sealed. I've asked now on both the WISH and the TREASURE and they no long have them in room service.

We had a perfect window table to enjoy the view while we ate.
IMG_3489.jpeg

We had booked the Jost Van Dyke Beach half-day excursion and were meeting up with our group in 1923 and had to be there by 7:30. There seemed to be a delay and we sat there for what seemed like a long time waiting to leave. We passed the time talking to our table mates who were all in their 20s and HUGE Disney fans, all former DCPs and one current cast member. They were on the ship for another friend's wedding which was the following day. They were really fun to talk to and the time passed quickly.

We were walking off the ship by 8:09.
I tried (and failed) to get a nice pic of Peter Pan and Captain Hook as we walked by...
IMG_3501.jpeg

The walk to our boat transfer only took a couple minutes...
IMG_3502.jpeg

We ended up among the first to board and sat right up front.
I was kind of nervous that we would get soaked but all we got were a couple little sprays and it felt really good. We also got the best pics from up there.

IMG_3510.jpeg

Once we were well on our way they started playing the best soundtrack ever :rotfl:
I couldn't help but sing along!

The boat brought us somewhere to board a little bus which then drives along these crazy small, winding roads up in the mountains. The view from up there was amazing and I tried snapping some pics but the pics don't do it justice.
That water was just stunning 🤩
IMG_3556.jpegIMG_3560.jpeg

We were walking onto the beach by 9:30 with some quick instructions from our hosts
and headed off to find some chairs...
IMG_3567.jpeg

I'm including my short videos in case anyone is interested but feel free to skip watching if videos aren't your thing!

I'm already out of picture space and I have about a million more so continued in next
post!

MARCH 4, 2025
HOME OF THE PAINKILLER

We found some chairs and enjoyed the beach for a bit...
IMG_3570.jpegIMG_3571.jpeg

Around 10:30 we walked down to the other side of the beach to the Soggy Dollar.
It's kind of a tourist trap but honestly, I love a good tourist trap sometimes!
We both ended up getting Soggy Dollar apparel for ourselves and buying some as gifts for home!
IMG_3581.jpegIMG_3582.jpegIMG_3586.jpeg

The Soggy Dollar gets their name because I think the only way to access it at one time was by boat and after all the people swam in they paid with soggy dollars :rotfl2:

I don't know if that's true or not but it's a fun story.

They are also famous for a drink called the Painkiller
and we wanted to try it even though it was only 10:30am!
Don't judge...we were on vacation! :drinking1
IMG_3589.jpeg

I loved it! It was pineapple-y and coconutty and delicious (sorry @pkondz!)
IMG_3136.jpegIMG_3144 (1).jpegIMG_3153.jpeg

Continued in next post...

MARCH 4, 2025

By 11:30 they were calling out to get people ready to go. We could have stayed longer and I was kind of mad at myself for not booking the longer excursion but we didn't know at the time how long we'd want to sit on the beach. It started raining on the way back to our ship so I guess it was a good thing we didn't stay longer but if we go again I would book the full-day instead of the half.
IMG_3599.jpeg

We didn't get the front this time but when it started pouring on the way back I was glad we weren't stuck out there! About half-way back they came around to zip up all the windows so we didn't get wet. They played a variety of music on the way back including Sweet Caroline and American Pie
which was perfect for an old person like me!
IMG_3253.jpeg

It had pretty much stopped raining by the time we got back and I finally got my nice pic of the ship...
IMG_3620.jpeg

We went up to Marceline's for lunch...
IMG_3622.jpegIMG_3623.jpeg

And because it was still early we went back out to poke around the shops at the pier...
IMG_3646.jpegIMG_3651.jpegIMG_3669.jpeg

We thought this was funny :rotfl:
IMG_3678.jpeg

We didn't see anything that we wanted so we started walking back to our ship around 2.
This ship seemed so tiny next to us...
IMG_3680.jpeg
I don't remember what ship it was.
Looking now it kind of looks like DCL but I don't think it was :confused3

To be continued...

MARCH 4, 2025

We were so sad to be leaving this beautiful place...
IMG_3682.jpeg

DCL had water to drink and nice cool towels available
as we walked back on the ship.
Such a nice touch.
IMG_3685.jpegIMG_3686.jpeg

We went back up to our room to shower and get ready and found these waiting for us...
IMG_3687.jpeg

Just trying to soak in the view from our Verandah...
IMG_3727.jpeg

Allie and I decided to skip the Main Dining Room this night.
I am not crazy about the Pirate Night menu and frankly,
by day 4 we just wanted to eat what we wanted to eat without any fanfare.
We showered and got dressed and headed up to the Cantina which closes at 6.
We got our favorite...
IMG_3733.jpeg

And then got our desserts and headed up to the adults area...
IMG_3734.jpeg

IMG_3735.jpeg

We found some chairs and just sat there for a while watching the sunset.
IMG_3752.jpeg

IMG_3781.jpeg

We were up there so long that the crew started putting all the chairs away for Pirate Night
and we were forced to leave!
Bummer because we could have sat up there all night, it was so pretty!

Out of picture space again, but Pirate Night up next!

We woke to the most incredible view...
Very nice!
We also grabbed a couple boxes of cereal to bring off the ship with us in case we wanted a snack for later.
:lmao:
I was wondering! "Wow! Three boxes of cereal for breakfast, plus all the rest that's on the table! These girls are hungry!"
all former DCPs and one current cast member.
That's kinda fun. Bet they had some good stories. :)
I tried (and failed) to get a nice pic of Peter Pan and Captain Hook as we walked by...
Got one on the way back, though.
Once we were well on our way they started playing the best soundtrack ever :rotfl:
I couldn't help but sing along!
I can just see you doing that!
That water was just stunning 🤩
Love the colour!
some quick instructions from our hosts
Such as? Like time to be back? Or...
I'm including my short videos
Thanks! That's the first time I've heard your voice. :goodvibes

Also... Long sleeve shirt? Was it a bit cool? Or was that more for the sun?
I'll take the big chair.
Around 10:30 we walked down to the other side of the beach to the Soggy Dollar.
I've actually heard of it, but wasn't sure where it was.
I love a good tourist trap sometimes!
::yes::
The Soggy Dollar gets their name because I think the only way to access it at one time was by boat and after all the people swam in they paid with soggy dollars :rotfl2:
I've heard that too!
They are also famous for a drink called the Painkiller
and we wanted to try it even though it was only 10:30am!
Don't judge...we were on vacation! :drinking1
Not judging... except...
I loved it! It was pineapple-y and coconutty and delicious (sorry @pkondz!)
...except...

Yeah... just... no... :sad2:
By 11:30 they were calling out to get people ready to go.
Already? You just got there?!?
It started raining on the way back to our ship so I guess it was a good thing we didn't stay longer
Worked out, then. :)
They played a variety of music on the way back including Sweet Caroline and American Pie
which was perfect for an old person like me!
I'd be okay with that too!
Nice sign. I like it.
We thought this was funny :rotfl:
IMG_3678.jpeg
:rolleyes1
DCL had water to drink and nice cool towels available
as we walked back on the ship.
Such a nice touch.
Very nice. Betting on a really hot day, might even be a life-saver.
We went back up to our room to shower and get ready and found these waiting for us...
Arghhh...
frankly,
by day 4 we just wanted to eat what we wanted to eat without any fanfare.
Can see that.
We got our favorite...
I'm seeing a trend, here!
headed up to the adults area...
How adults only was it? Were kids ever up there? Was that enforced? Did it have to be?
Sassy!
Very nice shot of you. :)
