Comfort station showers

Are there dispensers in the showers with shampoo, conditioner, etc, like you might find in a spa shower? Or do we need to bring our own little bottles?

Sorry, bring your own. Is a nice idea but I shudder to think what Disney would charge for it.

Bring your own. You have to bring your own towels, too. That's my only real complaint about the fabulous Fort. I wish they provided towel service, & they had them at the comfort station like they do at deluxe resort pools. The Fort isn't a cheap place to camp, so they could certainly afford to provide towels.

I was surprised when I read about the towels at the pool too. Usually when we camp, we can get by with a few towels, but I have a feeling that between pool towels and shower towels for a week, my little pop up is going to be packed to the rafters with towels alone!

It might be Disney, but it 'is' a campground!! You bring, or buy, everything for your needs!

As with most campgrounds though, there 'are' washers and dryers - no need to bring an exceptional amount of towels!!

Yes, it is a campground. But a campground that is classified as a deluxe resort. The prices that you pay for a campsite are comparable to those at most value resorts, so I don't think it is unreasonable to expect towels at the pool or shampoo in the shower. Perhaps those items could be sold as a "special add on package" in the future.

And unless the little woodland creatures are going to come do my laundry for me when I whistle to them, I'll pass on that option.

Yes I use the dryer at least once per trip. Even do laundry (remember the soap and dryer sheets, so you do have to buy them there) for the week long trips, so I dont have to worry about it when I get home. But the dryer full of damp towels is a great thing!! Especially with FL Rain storms that pop up daily sometimes.

But I buy the Walt Disney World beach towel each time it changes, which used to every year. But the quality now is awful and the design has not changed. Those live in the RV for our camping trips!

I am surprised that they don't offer a shampoo/body wash combo pump dispenser in the showers at the Fort. They do offer this for free to use at the value resort showers by the pools.

Having stayed at several campgrounds--some more promitive than others--even without toiletries and towels provided, FW is providing a lot of bang for the buck. Literally the nicest comfort stations of any campground I have been to. The pool is nice, I don't know that it is the nicest. But in low season at well less than half the of the cost of a value resort, it isn't too shabby.

That was my thought too. Also agree with Lisa Loves Pooh.

While it would be great if the Fort could offer these services, I can imagine it would be a nightmare (not to mention very expensive) to manage. Fresh towels at the campers or the Comfort stations? How many of them would disappear? They probably get a fair number walking away at the resorts, but I am guessing it is more manageable. Even at the pool, it's tough to keep track of. People just wrap them around their body and walk away.

My only real complaint about the comfort stations is that I'd like a bit more room in the "Dressing" area of the showers and a lot more hooks. I am a big guy but even smaller folks are a bit cramped and there is NO place (save 1 hook) to hang things. I'd like to hang my towel to keep it dry before I use it. I'd like to hang my clothes to keep them dry before I put them on. I'd also like to keep the "Dirty" clothes off the floor so I don't mop everything up with them.

That's good to know. I'm thinking maybe I'll buy a few of those cheap over the door plastic hooks for this purpose.
