Hi there. Good luck with your interview...I'm sure you will do fine.:) What roles are you considering?

As long as you are in good standing with your school, and your personal record is fine, then you have a very good chance of being accepted. Good luck! I can't wait to hear about the interview.

Well first off thank you for helping me and answering my questions. I'm new to the whole program and know almost nothing or no one that has gone through it before. I'm a pretty social guy and very friendly and excited. My record in clean i terms of trouble with any schools in the past so i should be in good standing with my university. I go to Clemson University and i have already talked shortly over the phone with the lady who is giving our presentation on campus. The jobs that i have check off so far and that I know what I want tot do are... Attractions, Merchandising, and Hospitality. what r the pros and cons to these three jobs?! i just really hope i get accepted!:scared1:

That's great. I have done merchandise. It wasn't too bad. I loved working in the MK, though sometimes the hours could be a little annoying.

I just had my interview, last monday at 1pm!!! The questions were pretty much basic, (background of yourself), why you want to work for disney!!!! I'm pretty sure you will do fine!!!! Just use a lot of disney "terms" (such as guest or describing yourself as a disney "cast member". They really are impressed by that!!! Good luck!!

Awesome! ok i think i can handle the interview now! thanks for the help! One other thing... for the past few months or so i have heard only great things about the program but i have read on some other online blogs and from a few friends who did it and said they hated the program. I was hearing things like some of the college students would just get drunk everynight, some students were mesierabel with their jobs or being in the heat, and that disney treats their lower level employees like crap! Is any of this true because i would hate to comit to the internship for a whole semester and be unhappy. :3dglasses

It really depends on the person. If you have the mindset to work hard at your job, and be happy- then you will be happy. But if you go down deciding that you hate your job before you even get there- then you will be unhappy.

thanks for the advice Joanna!

Like Joanna said if you go down with a positive attitude about everything you will be fine. If you go down to party and not do any work this is not something you want to do. Disney is very strict about their guidelines and if you do not follow them you can be terminated. As long as you realize you will be working crazy long days sometimes 16 hours a day in 100 degree heat and you are okay with that, then do the program. I can tell you from my experience that there are times when you wonder if this was a good idea to do but overall it will end up being the best experience of your life. The plus side to working the crazy hours is you get in the parks for free, which you will want to take advantage of when the parks are slow and you are only working 30 hours a week. And when you are able to put Disney as a previous employer on your resume it gives you a HUGE boost!

Good luck and I hope that helps. :thumbsup2

I did that at a Devils game.:rotfl:

Nothing is more sacred then the Red Sox here as far as sports go though, if I ever made the mistake of coming home with a Yankees jersey or shirt on, I'm pretty sure my father would disown me. It's insane, like the Red Sox are like a way of life in Mass and RI.
