Coffee drinkers, help me out.

Add me to the list of people that never knew it was a no-no to take coffee on the bus. We always bring our own and make it in the room. We use disposable travel cups, with lids, and enjoy it while waiting for the bus and while en route to the parks. Nobody has ever said anything to us about it?

Yeah I also never knew it was a no-no and was planning on taking mine on the bus too. Why is it supposed to be a no-no?

Food and drinks are not permitted on the buses. Have I brought coffee and water on the bus. Yes in a container with a lid. No one has ever said anything to me about it. If they did I would throw it out before getting on.
Last time we stayed at bcv so we had a big coffee pot so I brought my own coffee for the mornings. But would fill my mug on my way to the park (but we walked to most of them)

My biggest obstacle as a coffee addict is that I need half and half or at least whole milk and CoffeeMate seems to have brainwashed Disney into thinking their chemical cocktail is creamer.

There no dairy creamer available at our food court in POFQ right now (I've asked three different cast members), which is pretty irritating, considering they've already got a small fridge where it could easily be kept. I went into the gift shop to check out the coolers and discovered not only do they not sell half and half, the only milk you can purchase is 2%. I bought a tiny carton of whole milk in the food court for the fridge in the room.

Starring Rolls Bakery yesterday was awesome -- pitchers of half and half waiting for this coffee starved lady.

We did this too! We stayed at pop, brought our own coffee pot and fixins. We used disposable cups with lids so We didn't have to keep up with our resort mugs all day. And We took our coffee on the bus. So tummy and saved lots of $$ and time! We did buy coffee from the parks through out the day too. Writers shop @ HWS, and the 2 starbucks locations in mk and epcot!

Well Magic Kingdom and EPCOT now have Starbucks franchises (although you can still buy coffee products at Boulangerie Patisserie but staff are grumpy); Hollywood Studios offers lovely coffee drinks at Starring Rolls; the water parks all have stalls that offer nice coffee.

Glad I'm not the only one who experienced this! We found the staff SO rude there this trip. :confused3

For us, we love Starbucks :) But Joffrey's is great too and a huge step up from that stuff they called coffee from Nescafe.

I agree with the make it in the room while getting ready contingent. However, if you have time for breakfast and want a really good, strong cup I recommend Kouzzina’s press pot. Hands down the best coffee on property, IMO. The breakfast is pretty good, too!

On the run, I would either make it in the room while getting ready, or get it from Starbuck or a Joffrey’s kiosk.

I am a gimmecoffeewhenIimmediatelywakeuporIwillruinallofyourdaysandmakeyouallmiserable kind of person.

This is me too, lol. And I don't drink lots of coffee or really any other caffeinated drinks throughout the day. But man...you had better get mama my one (large) morning cup or watch out!

AKL Club Level lounge had some amazing coffee. Every morning before we left I made a double shot of espresso using the pod machine thing. Anyone know what kind of coffee and coffee maker this is? It was soooo good.

If you won't drink it black then you aren't an addict. I'm glad I don't have to worry about finding the right creamer or the right sweetener. Just coffee.

I see you are staying at Pop Century, Mama Mouse, but for others on this thread, an FYI that Starbucks is the in room coffee at Swan/Dolphin, free. And as ribollita said, Via is a pretty good choice in a pinch also.

My headaches when the coffee is delayed tell me otherwise. I can do black, but I prefer it with my 2T half half and 1/2 T sugar.

Me too! I do occassionally add some coconut milk but I like it black. Been drinking coffee since I was 4 (32 years now). That flavored stuff is for the birds.

There are signs on the buses and monorails that indicate no eating and drinking in the vehicle.

That is interesting, I never noticed any signs at all. Well now I know so I'll plan on finishing my coffee before going to the bus stop. Thanks!

If she's not a Starbucks drinker tell her to look for the blonde roast at SB. I drink chai too so I'm no expert but DH says that the blonde roast is good and not bitter.

We had refillable mugs (two for the four of us) so we got our coffee fix at the food court beforehand. Luckily my husband is an early riser even on vacation (sleeping in as 7:30 for him thanks to getting up for work at 5:30) so he would go get the coffee while I rise very slowly. We usually did take the mugs on the bus b/c then on the way back we had them to get the kids a drink and also had them at the parks for water throughout the day.

Simultaneously bumping and commenting as I am in mid-search for information on coffee.

Last time we were at WDW, our room at POFQ was very close to the food court so, as noted above, we could get our coffee there and consume it while getting ready in the morning. Whoever was not first in the shower would typically walk over while still in PJs to get coffee for both of us.

Of course, with MK open until midnight for our upcoming visit, I'll probably be stopping by during our afternoon break, as well.

Thanks for all of the info, everyone who has responded to this thread so far!

Did no read all responses, but we just returned from 13 days.

Coffee if you can call at wdw even at Starbucks taste nothing like coffee, but that is coming from a seattlite who knows what Starbucks taste like.

If I were you, I would bring my own from home and make it I. The hotel room. The coffee at POFQ did not taste anything like coffee and was so bad we dumped it out each day. The two times we went to Starbucks once mk once ep, we stood in line for 20 minutes and the coffee was drinkable for about 8 oz so much improved, but neither time did we finish the 16 oz we ordered because it just was not truly Starbucks, I think Disney makes them water it down, but I am told by others that that happens in a lot of places outside seattle where it is strong and real coffee.

Next time we will bring our own and then use the cream and super from the hotel.

I had no idea that taking coffee on buses was a no-no. I took tea with me every. single. day. whether we rode the bus or the boat to MK (from WL). no one ever said anything to me about it.

I always used the disposable cups from the QS in my hotel, and I remember others having their refillable mugs with them. (DH asked why I didn't have mine, and I said because I didn't want to carry it around all day after I was done with the drink - we don't carry a backpack, just my small travel purse.)

I agree with others... your friend could bring VIA or a french press and ground coffee and make in-room with hot water from food court/QS place in hotel, or running hot water through in-room coffee machine.
