codes/free dining & family suites?

I was under the impression that you could not apply a discount code or free dining to the family suites at ASMu, but I thought I saw a ticker that said ....until free dining at ASMu family suites??

In the past ASMu suites have not been included in the Free Dining promo. This year, though, a few people did post that they got a ASMu suite. This made more than a few people hot under the collar, as they were told they could not get the ASMu suite. In 2007 I tried to book an ASMu suite for Free Dining and was told they were not included in FD or any other promo. So, maybe a few of the rooms were eligable for the discount this year? I think it's confusing too.

They are not a regualar room. They are a suite and sometimes certain promotions do not include suites.

Its a value suite though. Its not like a theme park view club level suite. Its two 260 sq ft rooms at a value resort. Either way, it was available with free dine this year

We're booked for Sept. 2009 in ASMu family suite & I asked the CM on the phone that if free dining is offered in 2009 could I call back & change it for the free dining. She said possibly but they only have a limited number of the suites offered for the free dining promo. I'd just have to call & see then. But, I think we're going to change ours to 2 rooms at ASMo because DH likes it & wants 2 rooms instead of the suite where we have to put the couch/chairs up & down everyday.

They probably meant to say that theres limited rooms at ALL the resorts with free dining

ASMu Suites are definitely available with free dining this year. I booked one.

I don't think there were many (if any) discounts on them when they first became available as they are so popular. This might well have been their first year offered with FD. But I guess not many were available with each FD offer.

My sister is staying at ASM suites in September with the free dining. We are staying in a regular room with free dining.

I booked while we were at disney last year for FD at CBR. Come home , find out we are having a new grandchild. Okay now we will not fit at CBR, because there will be 6 of us. Change to POR for a few days and diecide that would be to crowed. Call back and ask about the suites at ASMu. Had no problem. We will be there from Sept. 21-27 Not long now!!!!!!!!!!

We also got Free Dining at ASMu family suite. No problem. I booked when Free Dining was made available to the General Public. For our dates there were at least 2 suites available as our TA also booked. We then cancelled one when we realised the double up. Our dates are 4 Sep - 11 Sep.

They did allow the family suites this year.They DID NOT allow all the family suites to be eligible.They only designated a certain number of them as eligible for free dining.
