It's possible to have merchandise that's currently available on-site shipped to your home at the regular retail price. There's no mark-up -- except shipping & handling fees! (The only draw-back: You forgo the chance to visit the Parks in person... )

Without naming names, I'd say avoid online specialty shops, which tend to up-charge; try going directly through Disney first. That said, you might find some deals on merchandise sold through ebay...

WARNING: Extraneous "Fluff" (I'm about to take a little trip down "memory lane"... )
I've successfully used WDW Merchandise for several parade-music and fireworks-display CDs (such as Holiday Wishes). ... stuff I realized I wanted after I'd left the Parks. The service also came in handy during our last visit, when I spotted a really cute Santa Mickey tea-for-one stacking teapot set in the window of The Main Street Confectionery. (Of course, it was meant as a decoration, and the salesclerk CM couldn't find any complete sets in the back... Plus, we were departing Orlando bright and early the next day, so I didn't have time to conduct a determined scavenger-hunt through Downtown Disney. ) I suspected it would be available at the World of Disney store. Anyway, I got a good description of the item and prepared to contact WDW Merchandise the next morning. 'Turns out my little hunch was right, and -- one phone call (and a few dollars) later -- I was the proud owner of two Santa Mickey tea sets, delivered directly to my front door!

Anyway, I hope the info helps. (And, for those who read the whole post: Thanks for indulging me... )

Shoot... You're one of the nicest folks around. Nobody is gonna get mad at you. From what I understand, there are some unwritten rules about these threads that can cause conflicts when people have different opinions about what those things are.

Let's review the contest rules & regulations:

Grand Prize Voting Period: Individuals who go to http://www.dreamcmo.com between 12:00 a.m. ET on April 14, 2008 and 11:59:59 PM ET on April 21, 2008, ("Grand Prize Voting Period") will be asked to view the three (3) Grand Prize Video Applications and vote for their favorite. The Finalist Prize Winner who receives the highest number of votes during the Grand Prize Voting Period will be deemed the Grand Prize Winner.

If I recall correctly, people were critical of the rules before -- stating that the Grand Prize Voting Period doesn't perfectly overlap the Top Three's travel/competition dates.

Here's my interpretation: The updated site (pared down to the Top Three finalists) will go live at midnight on Monday, April 14. That's when the finalists will be revealed -- just like the "Top 10" announcement. Folks can then begin to vote for their favorites based on the existing info (the video applications and perhaps a few new Q&A postings). Further updates (such as contest video footage) will follow later. (And, hopefully our Sponsors will humor us with regular updates and plenty of footage this time!) This is just a guess, though!

So... It has been so long, am I completely off or overlooking something? (For instance, did Disney/CB actually mention that we should have info by early April, or was that just wishful thinking on our part?)

So our anniversary date that wasn't is now over. It went like this.....

The Burger King drive thru was great. Except, as our luck has it, (especially Fleagle's who HATES mayonaise) he got a steakhouse burger just glopping in mayo! So, thus begins....and ends our date.

Wasn't that exciting! Man, I love you Fleagle, one day you'll catch a break. Even the drive thru forces are against us.
