Hey all....just checkin' in....
I must say I do believe it will be the stroke of midnight April13/14 Although, I don't know how the finalists are able to arrange time off and travel etc, without telling.....

luvsTink! I'm so glad to see you! How's it been going?

Do you think that there will be a surprise winner - like say, a dark-haired lady next to a life-sized cutout of CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow? :rotfl2:

So our anniversary date that wasn't is now over. It went like this.....

The Burger King drive thru was great. :thumbsup2 Except, as our luck has it, (especially Fleagle's who HATES mayonaise) he got a steakhouse burger just glopping in mayo! :sad2: So, thus begins....and ends our date. :headache:

Wasn't that exciting!

Ohhhh! (I'm so sorry! :flower3:)

If it makes you feel any better, I'd like to recount the details of Mr. DISgeeks' and my third wedding anniversary: We had a one-month-old newborn. Mr. DISgeeks had a headache. I drove (alone) to the mall to pick up Baja Fresh take-out and to shop for nursing "essentials" and baby socks.** :sad2:

"Having a Baby Changes Everything." - Johnson & Johnson's ad campaign

Do you ever look at your life and ask your husband, "When we first started dating, did you ever imagine that one day we'd be [insert some silly or mundane parenting-related activity]?"

**An up-beat addendum to my sad, sad story: My folks did offer to babysit for us a few weeks later when we were visiting them for the holidays. We managed to have dinner at a very nice restaurant. So, take heart! There's still hope! :flower3:

Man, I love you Fleagle, one day you'll catch a break. Even the drive thru forces are against us. :sad1:

One day -- hopefully in the not-so-distant future -- you'll be able to reread this post and laugh out loud at it! I mean -- truly! -- there's a shred of humor in it...or at least in that "drive thru forces" comment!

I know you bought the shirt, why else would I mention it? Scared? Remember, I AM Wonder Fleagle! I know ALL! (except who the top 3 are and when they will be announced!)

Hee hee :rolleyes2
Eeeeeep! *** Looks around to see if "mom" is over her shoulder and then thinks "Did I talk about going clothes shopping", then gets distracted buy a bright and shiny object ***

Oh hey.... look.... a bright shiny thing..... *** HMF wanders away ***

Why else do you think she has been so silent lately? ;)

Thanks, FTC! :thumbsup2

Based on my most recent post, I'd like to change my guess to reflect Calliaz's projections -- if folks can share them. :flower3:

Actually, forget the four-hour window. I'm feeling gutsy. Give me Monday, April 14, at the stroke of midnight! ;)

Ok DIS, I'll see your bet, raise you a disney dollar, and call their bluff...um...I mean...GO FISH!!! ;)

Consider it done. So far I have (all times eastern):

Mrs Fleagle - 04/06 12A-04A
FTC - 04/07 12A-04A
Marshay - 04/07 06A-10A

Ann with an "e"!!! So glad you're back, you have been missed! I too love the surprise winner idea! :thumbsup2

And if that's the case, I'm all in favor of surprise winners!

Very funny! You made me laugh! I guess Murphy's law is true....."Misery loves company!"

Our very first anniversary we went to a very nice restaurant in Williamsburg and Eric REALLY wanted me to get the lobster. I REALLY wanted steak. But, newlyweds as we were I didn't want to disappoint him. He planned a special night. So, lobster it was.
Sidebar: Our minister, the very same one who married us, was there with his wife. Knowing that my older sister was going through her second divorce he said to us jokingly, "Are you two STILL married?" Insert uncomfortable "ha ha".

Anyway, so my lobster comes....and I had no idea it was a WHOLE lobster! It's eyes were still there.....ooohhhh.... I was so queazy! :guilty:
So I politely as Eric to help me because I really could not look at it much less eat it. (of course Eric had ordered a steak for himself) And then as I'm trying to look at anything other than this poor lobster on my plate, a waiter walks behind me and trips, spilling his pitcher of cold water down my back. :sad2:
I hope you all laughed just a little bit....but sadly it's all true! ::yes::

OH!! (Yikes! ) I was hoping you were going to say that the waiter tripped, spilling his pitcher of cold water all over your expensive entrée and forcing him to bring you a replacement. ("Oh, my! Well, I really don't want to be a problem. You know what? 'Just bring me a steak, medium-rare please!" ;) )

Heck! At that point, you probably would have been relieved if he had brought you grilled cheese and a bowl of soup!

Be back later!

Oh noooooo... that sounds like us. We were heading with the girls to a movie premier one night. We stopped at a restaraunt. My wife got my 4 year old a plate of spaghetti. It took more time for Chunk to drop the painting (Goonies ref btw) than it did for that plate to end up in my lap. I was supposed to host the movie premier, but had to call in.

Sorry your date wasn't great.

Wow! I have a ton of catching up to do. This was supposed to be a slow week for me, but we lost (he resigned) an employee and I had to pick up some slack at work.

I totally missed Big Thunder driving off Miss Ann, but I HEARD ALL ABOUT IT! I hope you are back Ann and that all is well... now let me back track and survey the damage.

Cat -- NICE new avatar!!!:goodvibes

Thanks - I updated my original - I can't decide if I like it better than my first attempt "giant charlie brown-type" drawing.

I'm gonna look at it awhile, and decide if I should switch back or not.

So how's the scrapbook coming along? And/or the countdown thing?

I like your new one better (FWIW)...it makes you look more happy and just seems to be cleaner.

I finished the countdown calendar this morning at 2AM...then realized that in my haste to finish I went from #1 - 30 and not 30 to 1. Oh well...we'll just work from the bottom to the top. DD liked it but wanted to take off all the days...didn't understand the concept of only one per day.

My Disney ABC book is coming slowly. I completed up through F.

If you want to see any pictures, just go to my May '08 TR...the first post has the updated post numbers so you can go straight to the photos.

Trying to type up a "third final itinerary" for Disney...I'm sure there will be a lot more changes...Disney changed the hours for two of the parks since I checked last but most everything else stayed the same.

Whew -- long post.

What are you doing?

I'm gonna vote for the updated cat-o-tar!

Love it!
