Closing Time!

We received the documents for one the day after passing ROFR, but hadn’t heard about the 1st one that had passed 8 days prior. A quick email and the concierge team at www.DVCresalemarket.com CC’d the closing agent in, we got the docs that afternoon, closed two days later.

So a polite chase doesn’t hurt anyone!
Already emailed them

They are working as fast as they can I was told

Anyone else who recently passed ROFR with DVC Resale still waiting on closing docs? I know it's only been 4-5 days, but I received them within a day of passing last year with my first contract. I'm eager because our 7 month window opens on 4/14....
We passed on 2/20 and just got closing docs today 3/1 from our title company - https://magicvacationtitle.com/

ok, we are a few days behind you so fingers crossed by the end of the week!!!
Like you I had reached out late last week asking if the docs would be sent and they told me they had 200+ contracts waived in a week so there is definitely a backup

I received my membership # yesterday around 1:00pm and still have not received a Pin # email. Is that normal?

Not a new member but same resort and UY

I read their FAQ. It said buyers do not have to use a notary. Is that the experience that others have had?
My documents indicated a notary needed, and fortunately I have that service available free at my bank, so we had our signatures notarized as we were getting the cashiers check for the funds. I will go back and ask the Title Company if this a hard requirement, just in case I think I might ever want to add on AGAIN! :earboy2:
I know we did not have to have our signatures notarized when adding on Direct through Disney.

11 days for closing docs... Ouch. I feel like I'm looking into my future.

I'm not sure what Aulani/Hawaii requirements are, but in Florida the only thing the Buyer is doing is signing the original contract and sending funds :) The reason so many Sellers delay, is they must have the Deeds notarized (although it looks like a virtual notary might be acceptable? If you have a loan, there will be additional documents that may need a notary.
