Can someone tell me how many people they will allow you to book in a wood view room? Can you have 3 adults and 2 children? I just want to add 2 of them to the reservation, they won't all be sleeping there. Thanks

Only 4 allowed, unless the 5th is under 3 in a pack n play I believe. You'll be charged for the extra adult too.

I'm so excited! After switching resorts a few times, I have finally decided on the WL for my upcoming trip with a dear family friend's daughter (age 11)!!! It will be her first visit to WDW. I am so excited to share the magic of WDW with her. She is like a daughter to me, and I can't wait for her to experience WDW for the first time. She is so excited and can't stop talking about the trip each time I see her.

We booked a courtyard view, and will be at the WL from 7/17 to 7/24. Come on July!!!

That was our time frame last summer. Some nights were delightful (weather wise) and some mornings you could walk out for more than a few minutes without dripping in sweat! I remember overall, the weather was pretty darn okay!

Thanks for the info! We are planning on being at the parks at rope drop most mornings and heading back to the Lodge for a break from the heat and to swim midday. And we plan on heading back to the parks at night. Can't wait!

We have 2 rooms, one regular hotel room and one vacation club villa. We want to extra people in the regular room so they will receive free dining. They will actually sleep in the DVC villa. If your son were considered to be under three by Disney, he could fit in the occupancy of the room but there would be no advantage to having him on the dining plan since he'd be considered an infant and not get additional meals. Once he's considered to be over three he gets the dining plan, but counts toward room occupancy, so you're basically stuck.

Why don't you take the group of 5 and rent a villa studio at Wilderness Lodge? Then you would get free dining and it sleeps 5.

We are staying in a 2 bedroom at VWL in about a week. It may be too late now but can anyone recommend where we should request our room (or where we don't want) or where the 2 BRs are located? Many thanks.

I can see how that happens! We stayed at WL for the first time just two weekends ago, and we are in love with that place! We have a stay coming up in August for YC, and I'm still more excited about staying at WL again in September!

There are actually 6 of us going to WL. 4 adults and 2 children. We used my MIL's points to book a studio villa and my parents are getting a regular room. I don't want to use my MIL points for my parents to stay so that is why we didn't get a bigger villa. Since my parents will qualify for FD, I was going to add some of my family to their reservation. Looks like I will just have to keep one of the kids on my reservation. Thanks for the help!

There is room for the pack and play on the wall that is opposite the foot of the bunk bed. It is the same wall that the TV and table are on.

We put the pack n play in front of the connecting door. It was the foot of a queen, but should be fine with the bunks.

I am 6 pages behind here - again. I'm going to have to take it page-by-page. Life has been rudely getting in the way of the DIS and vacation planning. This morning, DH announced that he's excited to be going back to the OFC and Territory Lounge next month. Then, I realized that I haven't ordered more MBs, contacted the IPO or made all our ADRs

The IPO put in the request for bunks, but she sounded like it is more likely we will get 2 queens and a bunk but that's A-ok

No problem! Happy to help. Oh! I meant to post earlier... I called and made the room requests you suggested (old courtyard view, opening onto the lobby), and we got the perfect room! We absolutely loved it. We were in 5073. Loved it. We'll definitely be back to the WL. Thanks again for the suggestion!

No longer going in Novemeber, was able to re book during August and no going then, but not at WL.

Trying to decided on something to book for the Dis Visa FD promo tomorrow.
Curious if VWL studios now sleep 5?? It is allowing me to book that on the website. Do they bring in a roll away? I didn't think we could stay there but if we can, then great!!

Can anyone tell me where I might find out which studios have balconies? Also balcony views from studios? **Ya know the important stuff like what will I see while I watch the sun rise!**

Welcome to the WL/VWL thread, Bridget! I think your question was answered longggggg ago, but if it wasn't, all VWL villas have balconies, unless they're on the ground floor, with the exception of one studio: Deluxe Studio 4533 on the fourth floor does not have a balcony.

What are the chances of getting a bunk bed room with a club level room?

From what guests have posted on the DIS, most get their bunk request or at least are able to move to a bunk at some point in their stay.

I'll certainly add you and no, you don't have to eat at WL, but if you do want to try AP, but you don't want to make an ADR to eat there, you can order many AP entrees at Territory Lounge

DH & I are booked at WL Aug 31-Sep6 2014, when we go, if we get a BB, how many rooms can you book on a BB and do the rooms have to be at the same resort? We are planning a trip in 2015 with family, my Mom is booked already at WL & my sis now wants to go, but my Sis would need a discount in order to stay at WL with the rest of the family. Also in Aug/Sept 2014 will 2015 BB dates be available?

SNIP also curious if the club level thread reflects the menus from Monday through Friday, was an example of the menus or is that always what they serve? For example, do they serve venison meatballs every Thursday night or is that subject to change? Trying to get an idea if our family who are late eaters will do okay eating dinner occasionally in the lounge there.

The menus that I have posted in the CL section on the first page are the actual menus from each night and are labeled with the day of the week.

What is a good request for a 1 BR villa? Higher floor? I guess none have a lakeview? Thanks

Welcome. That's a popular request. While villas face Bay Lake, there are woods blocking the view. In the winter you can see a bit of the lake through the trees, but otherwise, there really isn't a view of water…unless you're near the pool

It has been a while since I have visited the boards. I just booked a trip for this fall and will be staying in a deluxe studio. We booked using the free dining promo. POR was excluded this time, so I was scrambling to find something that would permit a family of 5. I just began clicking on each hotel and seeing what was available and lo and behold, I see a new category at the WLV! The Deluxe Studio now holds 5 people! This is funny, because the 1br still only sleeps 4...but I'm not complaining, I'm excited! I have never ventured over to the villas, so I'd love to hear any recommendations on room requests or any tips in general.
If the mod would like to add us to the who's traveling when portion of this thread, that would be great! We are Alison (39) Chris (40) Noah (18) Jackson (13) and Ellie (9) staying 11/13-11/19. Hope to see some of you fine folks there!

Good morning Lodgers,

Some have been asking about the coffee here at the Lodge. I hope I can help.

The Lodge now serves Joffrey's coffee, in the restaurants, rooms, etc. In the rooms they use the small pods.

Up in the Club Level they will have Joffrey's in the room (using the pods), and in the Lounge they have Joffrey's in the thermal carafes in both caffinated and decaf.

We now have a new Nespresso machine. Out went the old Nescafe machine. Nice machine with some getting used to.

The Nespresso machine makes espressos and cappuccinos. This machine does not make regular coffee.

to the DIS and the WL/VWL thread, livinatthelodge. We're honored that your first post is here and we hope it's not your last. If your username is any indication of reality, I am VERY envious

Thank you for the complete information on the coffee. I'm one of the possible few who are sad to see the old Nescafe machine go, even with the blacked-out numbers. Do you know if the regular coffee urn will make an all-day appearance now that it's no longer available via the machine?

They were as of Christmas. I'm going to try and get new photos of the menus next month, just in case anything has changed.

I just got back from an impromptu weekend visit. We stayed at PO-R, and I can honestly say that I've been spoiled by WL! All I could think about was WL the entire time - can't wait to go back!!!
