Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

For the past 5 years, I have started calling at 6:55 60 days out and have always been successful getting P.S. for Cinderella's Royal Table. However, imagine my surprise and disappointment when I called yesterday and told it was booked until July 9! I inquired about the 60 days policy--it is now 90 days!

We are awaiting confirmation of our Beach Club Villas availability for DVC but plan on being at WDW from June 4-11. Any suggestions? We have done all of the character meals with the exception of the Norway breakfast. My 8 year old DD was really wanting Cinderella's table.

Thanks

I got CRT on my first try, and at the time we wanted.

Tried for latest possible time because July 11th is EE day at MK. So we will have a chance to do Fantasyland rides before breakfast.

Wishing Pixie dust to those still trying.

We sat at a seat facing the windows. I read somewhere on the message boards to ask for a seat by the windows. Has anyone ever done this? And do you need to make this request when making the ressie? or when you arrive at the castle?

One more question, when we ate at CRT I forgot what time the gates at MK opened is that going to be dynamic depending on the time of the year, or does it open at a specific time just for people who have ressies at CRT?

Thanks for your time!

20 years at Disney, but I still lack food details!

Also,

Burnbauhm's Disney book states that most CB's are $20 per/person?
They have a chart towards the back of the book that lists each meal and the adult and child's price.

Is this true, I thought it was more expensive than that? Hoop-Dee-Doo is the same at $49 per/person.

Anyone have any recent insight on this?

When we ate at CRT two years ago we had a PS for 8:10, the park did not open until 9am. They had a special table set up for those people with PS prior to park opening. They then escorted us to our Character Breakfast sites.

We were sat by the window, by luck not by request. It was a gorgeous view.

The cost for CRT is $19.99 adult and $9.99 kids. I believe some character breakfasts may be slightly cheaper.

I feel so lucky! I got it on my first try. I was on hold till 7:11, so I was getting nervous, but I still got in at 8:15! Very nice CM is going to note that it is my daughters first b-day. I was hoping to get 7/12 because it is her first birthday but I was willing to settle for any day that week. Thanks for all the help and info on this thread. Knowing to push the 1-2-1-1 during the opening message helped me get on hold by 7:01.
thanks again,

Amy

We got our CRT reservations this morning!!! Right after my wife got off the phone my 4 year old DD walked in and when she heard we had them she was soooooo excited. Great way for her to start the day!! We were stressing about being able to get in. Now on with the rest of the planning. Thanks to this board we got right in at 7:00am.

Thanks Cinmell. Cindy's was #1 on my list of things to get. we did the fireworks cruise on our last trip 3 years ago, so I want Illuminations this time.

Other things to be booked: Pirate Cruise for the kids, and the Family Magic Hour.

I want to thank DIS Boards and all the posters for the good information. I was worried that Cindy's was going to be even harder to get than 3 years ago.

Double Post - Seems since I installed SP2 for WindowsXP my laptop is a little possessed...

I am going to cancel my PS for two at CRT, I have June 3rd early (don't have my notes right here). It is a TH and an EE day. I was able to get June 1st as well and decided to go with that one.

Anyone know how long it takes to show up as avaliable in the system? I was thinking I could time my cancel for someone if they want to try for it. I will hold off for a few days to see if anyone wants to try for it.

PM, I check my box every day or so.

It usually shows up right away after you cancel. I had coordinated a cancellation that I had with another DISer who needed a PS. I had her up on Yahoo instant messenger and we both called WDW DINE around the same time.

She didn't get through to a CM until after I did and when she did, she was able to get my PS. It was pretty cool!! That was when it was still the 60 day out policy and it was REALLY tough to get a PS!
