Can you make reservations earlier than 180??

How does that work?

I need to get Cinderella Breakfast for any day between 12/3 - 12/8...

I thought I should call on 6/6 (180) --- is that not correct?

Last year I called and got in on first try (7am)

Oh,I need to get for 12/9 - 17/12..
Should I call on 6/6 too?
Since I don't live in the USA,I don't if it is the same number..Does anyone here know? :wizard:

If that's the smoothie (I think it is), then yes, you can!

So, we are going to WDW checking in on 11/18/06. I called a few days ago, and they told me to call on 5/22 at 7 am to make my CRT ressie for 11/20. I called at 7am and the reservation agent at disney dining told me that I could not book for CRT for 11/20 for another two days. I told her I was staying at VWL, and she would not take my resort reservation number or book anything for me that was more than 180 days out. I then spoke with the supervisor who basically told me that because I had rented points through a DVC member, I had to call DVC member services to make the reservation. They don't open until 9 am. I called there at 9 am, and they told me that every single reservation for 11/20 through 11/22 was booked. So, does this mean that in order to get a reservation at CRT you have to stay as Disney for a 10 day trip and book 190 days out?!?!? Anyone have any other ideas?

Try calling again 180 days from when you want CRT. They don't open all the tables before that.

I think it was an un-informed CM because it shouldn't matter that you rented your DVC points. They would have no way of knowing that if you didn't say anything either.

I'm DVC and I booked everything at 180 days from checkin. The perk to make all ADRs at 180 days from checkin is for ALL onsite guests regardless of whether they are DVC, rented or not or with a cash reservation.

You should be able to call the regular dining line and book all your ADRs at 180 days from checkin. Just say you want to make all your ADRs then they should ask you where you are staying and then they should book them for you.

I'm sorry you got someonw who didn't know what they were doing.

I forgot to add though that called at 180 days out from your checkin date is not the best way to get CRT. CRT should still be called at 180 days from when you want to eat there because dining definitely holds tables back for the actual 180 days from when you want to eat. They only release just a few tables for the 180 days from checkin date.

FABULOUS!!!!!!! Thank you so, so, so, so much. I kind of thought that it made no sense that the only people who could get CRT reservations were those who had already booked their trips at the resort. In fact, we are going in June, and 180 days before my trip in June, I booked CRT without a problem. When I asked the CM at DVC member services, she did not know that they hold back reservations. I think this is really a fair way to do it. Thanks again--I will call Wednesday morning at 7:00 am!!!! :cool1:

In addition to the photo package that is included with CRT breakfast, I thought I remembered reading somewhere that boys get a sword and girls get a wand? Is this the case? If my 9yo ds gets a sword for suffering through a princess breakfast, I think it would make it worth it for him! :rotfl2: Not to mention my 6yo dd I'm sure would love a wand.

Hopefully someone who has gone for dinner @ the castle since February can answer this for me.
From reading this thread I think I've concluded, that now for the dinner it is hosted by the Fairy Godmother and possibly the mice, Cinderella is not present. Is this indeed the case?
Does this also mean that the photo package thats included is a picture of the Fairy Godmother, or do you still get a picture taken with Cinderella downstairs before eating upstairs?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks,

Mamagoose,

We had breakfast there recently and my 5 yo DD received a wand. I am also pretty certain boys got swords because she was eyeing those as well. She went to breakfast in her cinderella dress w/a pirate tatoo on her arm -- a girl of many interests pirate: The wand is silver w/a star on the end.

Have lots of fun--we certainly did. :teeth:

We didn't know that we were going to Disney until about six weeks ago, much too late to book CRT the traditional way. However, my daughters are 5 and 6, and they are princess fanatics! Therefore, we decided to try to see if we could get lucky with cancellations. As people have to pre-pay for this and it's expensive, we figured that people would actually cancel instead of no-show, and then their spots would open up.

It worked! This week, I have managed to get us CRT for lunch for this Saturday and Sunday for five people. I also got Storybook Breakfast for Sunday. Admittedly, the reservation agents were SHOCKED!!!! They told me to play the lottery. But it worked! I recommend giving it a try - call back a bunch of times and see what happens. I did this starting about a week ahead of time up until today (the day before we're going).

Just to answer some of the other questions I've seen here (which I asked on the phone):

Girls get a wand, boys get a sword.
You get a family photo with Cinderella.
Each princess comes to your table.
Dinner does NOT have Cindy, just the Fairy Godmother. Breakfast and lunch are identical except for the food.

Good luck trying this "late in the game" approach!

I've had cms tell me to do this too. You never know who may have to cancel for whatever reason. I've cancelled before because of scheduling conflicts etc...sometimes that week.

Yes, dinner is 'hosted' by the Fairy Godmother and the mice. They do a short show, they do not come to the tables.

Cinderella is downstairs for all 3 meals for the photos/photo package.

there are wands and swords - but our daughter wanted the sword and they were more than happy to give it to her!

Also if you don't get a reservation, don't stop trying. When we got to MK, while we were riding one of the rides, my husband went to the desk and asked if they had an opening and they did, so we had a wonderful breakfast with my sister, me, my hubby and daughter.

Worth the final ditch effort. It was a great breakfast. And a great time!

wands and swords....Are these for all the meals, or just breakfast?? Seems like everyone reporting went to breakfast. Anyone get one with Dinner?

Only breakfast and lunch get the wands/swords; dinner you get a lithograph with your photo package.

Glad I didn't tell kiddos about the swords/wands...there could have been mutiny! Thanks for your help!

It was better than I had even imagined. We were the first lunch seating at 12:00, and it was great because the princesses started coming around before the tables were even full. Each princess comes to the table and actually spends some time.

If possible, have your kids dress up in costumes - all of the princesses commented on my girls' princess regalia.

The food - which was not the reason we went - was excellent! We had the salmon, the foccacia sandwich, and the pasta, and we all really liked our choices. The kids had a baked rigatoni dish and ate every bite. The kids got ice cream sundaes with chocolate crowns for dessert.

This was definitely a highlight of our trip.
