Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

At $34/adt and $23/chd for lunch, I'm wondering if I should just pay for that meal out-of-pocket instead of using 2 TS credits. Are people doing that?

That's our plan! :thumbsup2

I am not staying on Disney proterty so when can i call and make my ADR's?

I don't get the whole 180 190 day thing..what the 10 day lap for?

I'll be going to Disney December 1-15.

Offsite and onsite guests can call at 180 days.

Onsite can make all their ADRs with one phone call, up to 10 days worth (thus the +10 days).

Offsite would have to call day-by-day for their ADRs.

Hi Everyone:

Just a little encouragement. I called today for our trip planned 9/9-9/16 this year and asked if there was anyway I could get into CRT for 3. He said no problem for 9/10 and even had 3 options to chose from. I didn't call at a specific time or anything. In fact, all my reservations went as smoothly. I asked if it was normally difficult to get and he said: "Well, you're on the dining plan". I am assuming that it helps to be on the dining plan. Good luck everyone!!

we got reservations this morning for August 30 (the day I requested) and it sounded like several times were available!! :woohoo: :dance3:

I called this morning right at 7AM and got my reservations for Dec. 2nd. The person seemed surprised that I was calling so early(being on the West Coast). They had numerous spots available but i had her grab the first one she said. Assuming all the lines were busy making reservations. I told my DD5 this morning and she about jumped out of her seat when she heard. Maybe this isn't as crazy as it used to be for getting reservations...good luck

I called this am to get a reservation -- I arrive on 12/2 and was going to try for 12/5, 6, 7, 8

The agent said that they are now only doing 180 days. So I could get 12/2 at a variety of times... (I took one for a back up). I'll call in a few days to try and get my preferred day....

I think the change in the package is inane.. ... we went last year and had a GREAT time with my then 4 year old. It was magical for her and us....
we bought the photo --- but I prefer having it as an OPTION and not a REQUIREMENT.

I'm sure that has impacted some of the attendance.... plus the lunch option which didn't used to exist.

Last year we went on 12/4 which was a Sunday and it was the day they were taping ABC parades, etc.... too crowded. We want to avoid that this time....

We are also going out-of-pocket. Does any one know if the whole party has to use cash? (ie: 2 parents use the DDP and pay cash for kids?)

I'm calling on june 8 to get a ressie for 12/5...oh I can not wait!!

What are the times for the breakfast just so i can be prepared to tell them as soon as they answer...

Thanks

I'd just say "earliest available time" (assuming you want that). You don't want to chit-chat too long. Take what you can get. Like most places, ADRs are probably at 10 minute intervals, so if you're not an early riser, you could say "closest to 10am" or whatever.

You have to reserve with a credit card so I believe it's charged right then and there but you can cancel up to 24 hours with a full refund or at least that's that's what the CM said.

Is the kids meal still french toast sticks? My dd, 5, is not a big french toast eater. She would prefer eggs and bacon. I was wondering if they automaticly bring the french toast or if we could request eggs and bacon instead?

Yes, they automatically bring the french toast sticks so you'll have to tell them as soon as you are seated; when the waitress/waiter introduces themselves.

I have a silly question about the preplated breakfast. Is it possible to let them know prior to being seated that I'm a vegetarian and do not want the sausage and bacon on the plate? I'd like everything else and would much rather indulge in those things rather than opting for the healthy option. Has anyone tried this or know if it's possible?

Also, the breakfast potatos, what are in these? :confused3

Thanks! :)

When you check in and when you make the resv. state that you have a special dietary need, that you are a Vegetarian. Then state that you won't eat bacon or Sausage. They may even have a special meal for you. :sunny:

Good thing i read this thread..My DS would have been so annoyed if he got french toast sticks ..he doesn't like them. Now i jsut ahve to remember to tell them when we are seated.

Why is it that you guys know more then the CMs that we spoke to this morning? :confused3 Its so frustrating!

My husband and I both had a phone this morning calling to get a table for Cinderella's Breakfast for December 12th (we got messed up with our dates and should have called the other day for the 180 +10 days). When I told the person I spoke to I wanted December 12th, he said "Oh, I'm sorry, we are only doing until December 5th today." I asked him "isn't it 180 days plus 10 days into your stay?" and he said "oh, are you staying at Disney?" YES! Why do they have your type in your reservation number if they don't look at it? Then this guy was so slow. He says that he has 2 openings one at 8:15 and one at 9:50. I said book one! And he was so slow and then was so shocked when they were both taken by the time he pushed the button. Ahhhh...So frustrating!

Then the woman my husband spoke to argued with him the whole time. My husband said "I understand that the 12th is currently booked, but if I call 180 days before then, will I have a chance to get a table?" And she kept saying "I'm sorry sir, but today IS 180 days before the 12th" WHAT? No it is not! Finally my husband asked to speak to her manager to confirmed what we thought (and read on here) that most of the tables are offered up 180 days before, so she encouraged us to call then.

Wish me luck! Its my daughter's 6th birthday and what a wonderful birthday surprise it would be to eat in the castle with Cinderella! :goodvibes

Well at exactly 180 days out at least you won't have to explain anything to the CMs and there are spots available as I had no problem getting a spot from my ressie. Good luck.

I have a separate question about parking at MK for an early 8:05AM Cinderella ressie. Has anyone tried this? I'm staying with friends in Orlando so is this a problem. I read in another thread about the AK parking lot doesn't open until 8AM. Anyone have any experience with MK and early breakfast ressies & parking?

Thx for the help.
