Chris & Megan's Wishes Wedding: Updated 8/2:Photobomb of the last month!

The Save the Dates and Invitations are amazing. I'm a huge fan. I love the fastpass idea, and pearls on the invites are great touches!

I've searched everywhere that same mickey & minnie silhouette. Would you mind sharing where you found it? Many thanks in advance.

I just went on google and searched "mickey and minnie sillouette" and found it using that way!

If any of these photos belong to any of you ladies, please let me know that and I will give you credit! I found most of them through google.

This is my bouquet pictures! I want yellow roses for certian and possibly white daisies.

What does everyone think?

Just joining in. Everything looks great so far! What a great story. Love the STDs and the invites.

DH and I met on June 27, 2000, so it is a very special day for us. We actually found out after we got engaged that it June 27th was also his great-grandparents wedding day as well. Exactly 100 years apart!!! We couldn't believe it when his grandmothertold us that.

Love the floral pics. The first one with the pink roses and the white stephanotis is one that I am seriously considering for myself. I am also very partial to the hydrangea centerpieces.

Good luck with all the planning and can't wait to read more!

Megan sweetie - Loving the invitations (not at all biased about that little M & M graphic :goodvibes)
I love all your floral inspiration pictures!!! I think the yellow and white colour scheme will be very pretty!!! I get excited when brides get enthusiastic about floral as I love flowers and my floral was something I had very specific ideas about when I was planning my VR. I adored my bouquet - it was everything I had dreamed of!!
Often brides are not too bothered with floral - The Duchess of Cambridge was no exception here, and although it is, of course, a matter of personal taste, I think flowers make a wedding!!!! JMHO.

Thanks!!! :) Floral is one of my MAJOR aspects. I dream about flowers. kinda love them alot! My mom has a degree in horticulture, I grew up with flowers all the time. I'm pretty picky!

Thank you for your kind words!

Awesome! yayy! I love your PJ as well! :D

I have a meeting with a florist from Florida! In about an hour! I'm super-duper excited!

We're doing it via phone and I'm very excited to take this first step!

Any advice from anyone who has had an outside florist? I will post the BEO of things that I am intrested in from Disney (I have too much spare time on my hands and wrote everything out in the style of Disney's BEO's for floral)!

Happy Labor Day Weekend, everyone!!! :)

I'm at home in Crisfield for the National Hard Crab Derby. Yeah, we'll go race crabs on sat..... It's a pretty hysterical event! I'll be working all weekend at the marina in town! We have 87 boats coming in this evening! HELLOOOOO Madness :D

Anyway, I have a wedding update for everyone about the florist and guess what?? ONE MONTH from today We'll be in DISNEY :D!!!

We're going down for a couple days in Sept/October for a site visit as well as a birthday celebration and a anniversary!

Please keep us in your thoughts, we found out officially this week that Chris's Squadron is definitely deploying in either November or December. We're praying he will not have to go but even if he doesn't, it may be the final straw to move our wedding to 2013.

Have a good weekend, ladies! :)

This is the marina I work at. Super duper crazy but I have loved every minute of it!

So I started working on a budget a few weeks ago based off of prices that I had seen from other brides on here.

Yikes! That's the word I have to say!

I want to stay as close to the 12,000 Disney Budget as possible....Here is the original budget I worked up..... I have a much better possible budget to post!
Estimated BEO:
***This is with everything through Disney. The totals include
Tax and all Service Charges that I am aware of.***

--Wednesday, June 27. 2012 from 12:00 to 13:30
---75 Guests

2. Photography for Wedding and Reception
---6 Hours through Disney’s Fine Arts and Photography

3. Park Shoot

3. Cakes
---Regular Wedding Cake, Possible Mad Hatter Style
---8.50 per person
4. Groom Cake
---I found the perfect cake for Chris! I’ll post a picture.

---We have no idea what we want yet. There has to be at least a couple gluten-free options though!
---70 per person

Sorry for that part being an image, I'm too tired to re-format the table! :)

Problems with this budget:
• We realistically do not expect 75 people to come to the wedding. So essentially, we’re over-budgeting.
• We’re not planning on doing everything though Disney.

What do you think? Did anyone else FREAK when they started look at the budget-y stuff?

I used the passporter budget tool a few months back and thought I was having a heart attack(:scared1: <--me). We are planning for 130 people and the food alone was our original budget! With that being said though, in our particular area it really isn't any cheaper to host a wedding here than it is in Disney (however there isn't travel costs to have it here). I think of it now as a good eye opener and makes you realize what is and isn't important......and a good heads up to start looking for outside vendors and diy options

yup! gave me heart failure.

Good thinking! We're actually aready looking at two outside vendors. Plus we don't think that that many people will actually come! I have two more budgets to post, the last one is more like what I actually want!

After looking at this budget, I started looking at outside florists! :scared1:

In less than a month, We’ll be in Walt Disney World! We’ll be there from Sept. 29 to Oct. 4th. We’ll be driving down from Delaware and arriving in the evening on Sept. 29th.

Itinerary:

September 29:
Driving down! It will take us about 12-14 hours as we are about a thousand miles away. Our plan is to leave around 3-4 in the morning [or whenever Christopher wakes up!] and drive as far as we can before I wake up for the day. We are hoping to eat one decent meal on the way down and this will more than likely happen once I wake up for the day. I’ll probably sleep until 9 or 10, I’m lucky in that I can sleep in the car no matter what! ‘m planning on taking snacks like cut celery and carrots, rice cakes and veggie straws with us and some drinks so we do not have to stop that much! Also because I mostly likely have celiac’s, it’s hard to find food I can eat at fast food restaurants! Our goal is to be in Orlando by 7-8 p.m.We’ll check into our hotel and then head off to Downtown Disney! We want to eat “dinner” at Earl of Sandwich as we adore it and don’t get to have it unless we are in Disney.

September 30:
SITE VISIT!!!!
Can you tell I’m excited about that? We’ll be going to lunch at the Magic Kingdom today at The Plaza Restaurant today before our site visit. Our lunch is at 11:10 and then we’ll catch a boat/monorail to either the poly or grand Floridian to walk to the wedding pavilion! Ahhh so excited! I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures of the walls and construction and post it on here. We requested to look at the Living Seas Salon and a ball-room in the Contemporary. The Wedding will be happening in the WP no matter what, so long as you can still see that castle through the front window. I’m a minister’s step-daughter and was raised in a church practically so walking down an aisle is important to me. After the site visit, we’ll be headed out to Dinner at the Wave then probably going to a park! I’m not terribly sure about the wave, any opinions?

October 1st:
This is Chris’s 21st birthday. I’m not sure what we’ll be up to today other than going to Epcot for dinner. We’ll be at a park for sure! I would like to see Fantasmic so that’s an interesting idea.

October 2nd:
This is another park day! Who knows what we will end up doing but we will have fun.

October 3rd:
Aww! It’s our last day in Disney. I’ll be back December 11-17th, give or take a day or two to work so it’s not really goodbye. We’ll spend this day in the Magic Kingdom.

October 4th:
Worst part of the trip! We’ll be driving home all day long.

How does it look? We have some dinning reservations that are planning that I havn’t added in there, trying to wait and see how everything goes!

It looks like I wish I was going with you!! Lol!! Have so much fun! Take lots of pics for us!
