We're still on our way to Florida. But we'be already had an expensive adventure that I could have done without.
We stopped in Darien, Georgia to use the restrooms and grab something to drink. I went to the restroom first while Christopher bought an iced tea. He handed me the keys and the drink while he went to the restroom. Thinking that I would be helpful, I thought I would clean out the car.
As a side note, We picked up the extra set of keys before leaving home and tossed them in my purse. Remember that fact.
With the extra set of keys in the car, the automatic lock on the keys will not work. I unlocked the door manually and plaCed the keys on the seat, pressing the lock button to unlock all of the doors (or so I thought).
I closed the front door and went to open the backseat. Fail. The door was locked. I tried all four doors and then gave up.
I walked back inside and Christopher was just coming out of the bathroom. I was like "you are not going to believe this...". We may or may not have yelled at each other for a few mins before I went inside and asked the worker if she had a number for a locksmith.
Long story short, 55 dollars later.... We are back on the road! We made it tok Florida about 25 mins later and are still on the road!
That's our adventure, typed out on a phone. Yikes
We're really looking forward to this trip, it will be nice since Chris has been on night shift for almost a month now and I'm sick of not seeing him already!
