I am looking for any and all opinions on choosing our room catagory. We will be a total of 4 adults, 1 teen and 2 young (5,7) ones. We will obviously be booking two connecting. I assume from what I have read so far that since we will be on a 4-day that we will see very little of our rooms. Will we be able to withstand two cat. 11's? All suggestions/opinions welcome!:sunny:

Don’t get me wrong, verandas are great. But I would rather sail more often in a Cat 11 than occasionally with a veranda; I just spend more time on deck 4 or deck 10, because I do enjoy the ocean while at sea. I also like the layout of the room better, with the living area near the door and the bed in the back. That being said, I’d take a free upgrade any day.

SPH would be great but unless you are planning to cruise in Oct 2005 then a SPH may not be available. When we booked our cruise for Apr 2005 onboard in Oct 2003 we got the last of the SPH for our cruise and from what we were told the dates had not been available for long. I have had a verandah and a cat 8. I have never been in an inside room but I would think that for 4 days it would be worth the savings. If it was a 7 day I would say you need a window.

We will be booking connecting rooms (7 of us) however, we will have 4 in one of the rooms and it appears to me as if the sph rooms only hold 3. Correct?

I think all of the SPR hold 4. Also, I don't hink there are any connecting cat 11's.

True. And true.

All six SPRs hold up to 4 passengers. The current deck plan shows no connecting Category 11 staterooms, but plenty of connecting Category 10 staterooms. (Actually, the original DCL brochure showed two pairs of connecting Category 11 staterooms, where one room of each pair is Accessible.)

An odd question...is there anywhere online I can check to see what cabins are available? Or would I need to call Disney or a travel agent?

I don't think the size of your stateroom will present you with any problems at all. If your traveling with someone who rubs you the wrong way the Cat #1 rooms would seem too small! On our next planned cruise my DW wants to bring along her parents. She said that we can get them a room not too close to ours, I told her I'd book them on the Wonder and us on the Magic.

We are a family of six and I read (and was told by TA) that there are no connecting level 11's or 12's, so we got two of the SPH rooms for Oct. 16, 05. (LEvel 10)

Two cat 11's should work fine. Just be sure to tell the teenager to be quiet when he/she rolls in around 2am. If he/she doesn't you'll be sure to make a LOT of noise when you get up early in the morning.:p

I like the Cat 10's better because of the split bath and the rooms are a little larger.
