Chistmas Eve

We're thinking of going to The Magic Kingdom for Christmas Eve this year. From what I can see, it is open until 11:00 with both Spectromagic and Wishes scheduled. We're not worried about lines for rides since we can do that anytime we want and simply want to enjoy the atmosphere.

Does anyone know how the crowds are likely to be that evening? Thanks!

I was wondering that too. We have an ADR at California Grill at 7pm and then we plan to watch Wishes from there and then head down to the MK for the 2nd Spectro. MK on Christmas eve sounds great.

Huge Christmas week is packed. It is hard to even walk around but the atmosphere is great!

I will be there on Christmas Eve as well. I am a newbie here, and this is my first "adult" trip to WDW. I can't wait, but I am getting so overwhelmed with all this info. Are the Wishes and Spectro things you speak of fireworks shows or something? I am sorry for not knowing. I am still learning.

Twice on Christmas Eve and it was packed and we had a great time,it is a special time to be at MK.

The parks are packed, they usually fill to capacity in the morning and then are a little lighter in the afternoon. I would also suggest making going ahead and making dining reservations for xmas day and xmas eve. If you wait until you get there you will be dining at counter service locations.

Thanks, everyone! I kinda figured it would be crowded, but as long as the atmosphere is good, we don't care about lines for rides. I think as long as the weather is good we'll drive down for the afternoon and evening.
