Anyone have a Raising Cane's?

Yes, it's excellent! First time I went we dined-in and the food was so fresh & hot. I didn't think the sauce was anything special, but the rest of the stuff was wonderful. Fortunately, there's not a location nearby or I'd be in there all the time.

My oldest and some her friends love Chick Fil A and eat there regularly, they are part of a population you'd expect would want to boycott but they've said they like the food too much.

Anyone have a Raising Cane's? It's fairly new to our area. I prefer them to CFA. Thankfully the kids do, too, so I don't have to wait in the mile long CFA drive through line when they want chicken.

Canes uses the crinkle cut fries. Bleh! Those are the cheapest, grossest fries in existence.

I have to agree, their fries aren't anything special, and they are usually a little soggy.

Those waffle fries go downhill real fast. When they start to cool off the texture gets weird and the flavor just goes bland. They're pretty good while they're hot, I eat the fries first on the rare occasion I eat there.

I agree with you on this one. They have the best tasting waffle fries..as long as they are hot. Our CFA has '30 nugget Thursdays' where you get 30 nuggets for I think $14 or something like that, and you get 2 large waffle fries for free. Its from 4-8. We try to go just before 4:30 and there has only ever been 1 car in front of us. We were in and out of the drive thru (dining rooms at all of the CFA's here are still closed, in fact the one closet to us did a complete remodel while closed, lol), in less than 10 min. We got home and found that we had 40 nuggets, and they threw 8 of each sauce we asked for in the bag, lol. Ate the fries first while hot, then the nuggets..still had more than enough left for 2 lunches the next day.

I love CFA! I usually get the deluxe spicy chicken sandwich combo, with the fries and lemonade. They also have very good chicken noodle soup at the one near me. I have never had anything bad at CFA.

Ours has the chicken tortilla soup for limited times..my sister in law gets it for dinner almost every other nite, lol. I myself never tried either.

If you like waffle fries, you can buy them frozen. I saw Target lists a 24 oz bag of their house brand waffle fries for $1.79.

I've had that type of frozen fries and can't imagine why anybody thinks they're so great.

I'm not necessarily a Chick-Fil-A fan. My personal favorite are McDonald's fries when they're done right and haven't been under a heat lamp for more than 5 minutes. Other than that, I like Red Robin for the "bottomless" fries, although once I was told my 4th would be the final one.

The deal with waffle fries is that they can take a boatload of ketchup or whatever other sauce is available. And if anything the wide variety of sauces at Chick-Fil-A are what really sells for them. It's also weird talking about them today since they closed.

It's excellent for fast food. That's a big compliment given how popular tortilla soup is where I live. I also make my own and still buy their soup. It's also a great choice if you're on a diet.

If anyone thinks that is anything special, I'd hate to see what they normally eat. It's the same fast food lame bun you can get anywhere. And well given the chicken is breaded well that's lots of bread. And you get two pickles. And it's a sodium bomb at 61% of your max daily allowance and 93% of optimal sodium intake for the day. Note that you can deluxify your sandwich for more money and they now offer it spicy and you can ask for the same sauce you get with the grilled chicken if you want. But it's still even for fast food just average for a chicken sandwich, but nothing special.

I also only order grilled chicken & don't understand the rave reviews. I've decided it must be the fried chicken options that people laud.

The grilled is actually the better of the two. You get a marginally better bun plus a bit more deluxe of a sandwich and 40% less sodium than the sandwich above. Of course you pay more for it.

CFA safine, but I think the last time I got a sandwich from there was because it was a free coupon, and it was several months ago.. I don’t really like their fries. (Which is odd, because as my husband will tell you, I love all forms of potato.)

I think the big appeal of CFA in my home state up up north was the scarcity. It used to be you could only get it in state at the airport or at a university (seasonal hours). They’ve opened up quite a few now, and they were a big hit. We’ll see how they expand.

I will say that they are very efficient and have great customer service. Part of the efficiency is likely from they’re relatively limited menu. But I hate the traffic that builds up around them. There are several areas I actively avoid because the traffic piles into the street.

I moved south and am in Bojangles and Zaxby’s territory. My opinion is that Bojangles has better sides. Zaxby’s has a better sandwich (plus Zac sauce!).

We’ve been pretty happy with our dupe CFA sandwich recipe, which involves pickle juice brine.

The Government should really put Chick-Fil-A Drive Thru in charge of administering the vaccine.

I always get their grilled chicken. SO GOOD!

Chick-fil-A has white canopies up for drive thru plus long lines. DH saw this from a distance and thought is was a COVID testing site. Lol

Not a fast food fan but I love Chick-fil-A especially the chicken minis. I order ahead and do curbside. It's a lot quicker.
