As long as you only paid for one.![]()
This is where I’m at with CFA. We used to get it on vacation when we drove through the States. We’d dream about it and drool over it. We’d go nuts when we saw a billboard. It was one of the highlights of our trip.My DGDs think CFA is the greatest food on the planet. I used to enjoy it too, but I stopped eating it for a while and when I tried it again it wasn't nearly as good as I thought. They do have really good service though, they deserve every bit of success they've earned.
I feel like most of the fast food places near me are busy and have excellent service as well, so that’s why CFA doesn’t really stand out as much.I will say that I do like the food at Chick-fil-A a lot but there are better chicken sandwiches - hwever teh excellent service is almost never topped and the consistency is a plus too. I know some people don't think it's that special, but it's the overall experience, not just the food.
You pay for the quality of food and service at Chick-Fil-A. In my mind, it is money well spent every time. Even when they make a mistake, they fall over themselves to make it right.
Did the stand-alone location in Toronto stay open? It seemed like some were trying to drum it out of town initially. The first Canadian Chick-Fil-A was in the Calgary airport, on the departures level behind security. It seemed like such an odd place for it. I'm pretty sure it closed within a year and we only got to try it once. It was OK (chicken sandwiches aren't a big fav of mine) and the service was typical Canadian food-kiosk service - nothing notable. Finally opened one in Toronto at the mall.
I tried it for the first time just before Christmas. It was okay. Not super special. I'd eat it again but won't go out of my way for it. The best thing I had was the peppermint chip milkshake that was recommended by fellow DIS members.I still have yet to eat at a Chick-Fil-A.
