I got a box in the mail today. It was from Celebration, FL. I couldn't think of what it might be, although it was obviously Disney. So I opened it and it was an Expedition Everest mug! I couldn't figure out why I had gotten it! So then after walking around saying how weird that was, I noticed that there was an envelope in it that I had overlooked. So I opened the envelope to find a notecard with an embossed Mickey, and a note saying that I had gotten a prize in this travel agent contest I entered! That contest was sooo long ago, something like March! (Because it was probably right before Everest opened.) It said I was 50th place. Top 50 got prizes. I think I had finished more like 53 or so, so I'm really not sure what happened. Maybe there was a glitch and that's why it took so long? Anyway, it was a pretty fun contest. Really it was more about speed than anything. That's when I started bringing my laptop home from work. I had to have a fast computer. They asked 7 questions, and you got point for how fast you answered if you were right. They were multiple choice and repeated the same questions about WDW, so you just had to remember the answers. It was hard to be fast enough and not get a question you didn't know! But I learned a lot about Everest. I certainly knew after that that the height requirement was 44 inches! So it's neat that I got a prize.

Does anyone know the answer to this question??

If we are going MNSSHP and we have an ADR for dinner at LTT at 5:30, and will not be arriving at MK until the ADR time, do we need to waste a day of our passes to get in???

We're not sure the answer to this and I can't find one anywhere?? And it's too late to call!!

We had a family meeting/planning meeting tonight!!

if you have the mnsshp tix, you can enter the mk at 4:00 pm.
get in line, show your ticket, get the wristband and then you can enter at 4 to the park.

do not waste a day ticket to get in to mk. use your mnsshp tix.
go to LTT and have a great dinner once you are inside.


many people go to dtd for the day and then over to mk at 4 for the party.
they still have a disney day without having to use one of their day tickets.

I also got my Minnie big figure! It's about the same size as my skater Mickey, but get this...it's two pieces, Minnie and the base! Boy, that makes it easy for her to fall over! Minnie just stands there on her base! I can't believe there's no way to connect them.

But she's very cute.

i'm still waiting to hear from my mom! she had a big travel day yesterday and should have called already i've left the 2nd line clear...oh well i'm sure she just got caught up in everything!!

Oh, I discovered something else cool, too. When I go to the travel agent site, I can get quotes using discounts! My friend was asking me yesterday if there were any codes for November, and I found one for a package, and while I was on the TA site I noticed that you could see what the package would be with the discount! I love being in the travel industry!

bunchkin, i read what you posted and had seen that before.
guests staying up thru a date in september can trade in a TS credit for one CS credit plus a choice on another item.


you know why they are doing this.
too many guests are complaining on not being able to make adrs at many of the resturants. this is a way to appease the crowds.

at pop and movies, getting a special dinner at their food court and use a TS for it.


when disney packs in more people than what the resturants can accomadate, they are starting to offer different specials for dining.


sorry, but to me nothing compares to the TS........to trade it off for one CS, pin or other choice is not worth it to me.

YUP! Mac i was thinking the same thing! so many people can't make ADRs adn FORGET about those poor sould without the DIS and they don't make ADRs AT ALL!!

Sunday morning as I was going back to work my supervisor at my part time job called me for a very sad news. My favorite girl to work with died Saturday AM. And the sad part was she had left work with an argument. We really have a verbal abuser who is a supervisor in one of the department where this girl work full time. Friday morning acc'ding to my supervisor the good one, that she had gone to the office and had complain about this other supervisor. Everybody in that department was called in with the office including our head Pathologist and Director. After the meeting she had gone home very upset. This past Saturday was supposed to be her 1st day for vacation and was going on a cruise with his DS and DH. Woke that morning made breakfast and went to lay down on the couch in the livibg room and did not wake up anymore. DH administered cpr while waiting for 911 to come but she was not revive. She is only 45 and last week we just did her blood work and all was fine, they are going to have an autopsy but the medics were saying it must be a heart attack or an aneurysm. I am sorry to be talking about this here.

Timmy! I am sooo sorry for your loss! Sharing your grief here is NOT a dark cloud but, something we can try and help you with! My condolences.

I guess I"m driving Stephanie to school today. Whenever it rains, I always drive her to school. The thought of standing in the rain at 7:30am while waiting for the bus, does nothing for me

looks like no yard work for me today.



school starts for us on august 29 and i already have a 2 day job assignment.
i am looking forward to it but on the other hand, dread it.

when you sub in a classroom you get kind of lazy having the summer off.
i'm just like the kids, i have to go back to the schedule of going to bed early and getting up at 5:30 each morning.

i think of it like being in training for the motherland.
when i am there, i sleep very little, always on the go.
and then when i get back home, i need a vacation to rest up from the vacation.
