Cheesecake Factory??

"Are you going to the Southcenter Mall one? Are you staying in Seatac or actually Seattle?"

I cannot believe they have one of these @ Southcenter now!!! I used to have a store at that mall and we certainly never had The Cheesecake Factory (Rainforest was new when I was leaving that area). We did, however, have Rainier Roasters and Taco Time which were fabulous. I truly miss them!:goodvibes

Me and my girlfriends go and we do appitizer meals. We each order an appitizer and share. So much food. Soo good, I really love the lettuce wraps.

My absolute favorite dish is at the Cheesecake Factory. The orange chicken is to die for!!

And make sure that you save room for the cheesecake.:thumbsup2

Ayep. They are filling up the parking lot with restaurants. :)

Did we swap states, by the way? I used to live in Burke VA.

I'm sure you have already found it, but just in case, here is the info for the Southcenter restraunt.

Southcenter Mall, 230 Strander Blvd., Tukwila, WA 98188
(206) 246-7300

Any my suggestions are the oriental chicken noodle dish with peanut sauce and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for dessert

Oh, my. I did NOT know there's a Cheesecake Factory at Southcenter. Is it part of the new addition?

That would certainly be closer than the Seattle one, Queen Billabong, if you are staying at a hotel near SeaTac. Southcenter is only about 5 miles from the airport.

Ok, I don't think I personally would take a taxi to downtown Seattle to eat at Cheesecake factory, but I'd take a taxi to one at Southcenter.

We used to live in Kent, nearby, and I was the airport picker-upper for my extended family. Plus I worked at Southcenter for 5 years, full and part-time. That new addition looks huge, but I have not yet had a chance to explore it on my trips down to that area.

i know that was a surprise to me, too! i only thought of the bellevue and downtown seattle ones. good to know there is one further south!

Yummy...I would say go...

They have a big menu, but I always order the same thing!
Crusted Chicken Romano--yummy!:thumbsup2 My kids like to get the pizza and salad combo meal. They have good burgers too!

The portions are huge! We always get cheesecake to go because we are too full!

I had to laugh as I was reading this thread I was finishing up a piece of the Godiva cheesecake that I got last night when we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. :rotfl:

When we lived in IL we would wait up to 3 hours for a table at the downtown one and when we lived in PA it was sometimes a 2 hour wait for the one at the King of Prussia Mall, yet DH and I always considered it worth the wait!

Now in Las Vegas we live only a couple miles from the Cheesecake Factory and I still consider it to be a treat. In addition to the Crusted Chicken Romano I highly recommend the Chicken Costelleta. It is absolutely delicious and makes great lunch leftovers.

My fave cheesecakes are all chocolately--Adam's Peanut Butter Fudge Ripple, Chocolate Oreo Mudslide and the Godiva, but DH loves the Dulce de Leche.

Have fun and enjoy!

I didn't know they put one in at SouthCenter. That's awesome! I think we need to take a trip to check out the new addition. It's been a few months since we've been there.

i know what you mean...it's been at least 6 years since i've been there! yikes! and i used to go there at least once a month back in the late 90s! LOL! but from driving down south to tacoma/fife/puyallup/spanaway to visit family, i can tell southcenter is really changing.

I'm actually not sure which location we would go to. We're staying at the Doubletree on International Blvd by SeaTac and the only location I see that is Seattle is on Pike Street. Is there a closer one or another one?

Hey, we stayed at that Doubletree a year ago before we hopped on a flight from Seattle to Maui. It's a huge hotel, easy to get lost. But it's very nice with big rooms. We had a fabulous, inexpensive stay there, thanks to Priceline.

Cheesecake Factory is fantastic! We always go to the one in Bellevue Square. It's always crowded though...but the food is always worth the wait! What a great way to start your Disney vacation!!! :thumbsup2

Hey, we're in Milton, which is right next to Fife. Blink and you'll miss it!

Thanks - we are taking a bit longer to get there, but making it part of the trip! Leaving from Seattle saves us bundles, so we're staying the night there and then leaving bright and early.

It looks like we'll have to either have appies or share, as taking something to go really won't work for us as we're gone the next day (and I don't want to go to DL taking leftovers with me :lmao: ) I can't wait - we've wanted to go forever but have just not made it for whatever reason (and there are none in Canada :sad2: )

Yay for vacations!!

Ooooh, seems like a good place to eat. We might try it in Anaheim + Vegas (if we really like it!!!!) Thanks!!

You should ask at the hotel about taking the Metro Bus to Southcenter. It looks like Metro Route 140 goes between SeaTac and Southcenter. That would be way cheaper than taking a taxi.

We have two here in Vegas--one in the Forum Shops of Caesar's Palace that is always super crowded and typically has a fairly long wait.

However, the second one is at the District at Green Valley, which is about 8-10 miles off the strip in Henderson. If you will have a car just take the 215 east from the Strip to the Green Valley Parkway exit. You will see the Green Valley Ranch Casino and the The District on your right as you approach the exit ramp.

The District is a delightful shopping area that has a lot of mid to higher end stores like Coldwater Creek, anthropologie, Gymboree, Desert Daisy by Lily Pulitzer, Coach, Williams Sonoma, West Elm and Pottery Barn. It also has some cool local shops like Magnolia Lane (gifts, housewares, Vera Bradley, kids botique etc), Alligator Soup (stationery shop), Along Kid a Spider (kids clothes and toys), and PINK The Botique (women's clothing).

The set up of The District is a tree lined main street with places for kids and dogs to play, a carousel, a place where they show outdoor movies, live music, etc.

While The District itself is usually pretty busy, especially from Friday night to Sunday afternoon, there are so many amazing restaurants and bars there, that no place is ever too crowded. Thus, we have never waited more than 15 minutes for a table at the Cheesecake Factory there!

Taco Time?? LOL Man, I loved TT when I was a kid. We didn't have one in our town but there was one in a town we visited often. We always ate there, LOVED it!! But, I went back when I was visiting Mom one summer and it wasn't as good....I don't know why but it really wasn't. :confused3 I was sad.

NO WAY - I am in Culpeper! Burke is way too "city" for us - not to mention we couldn't afford to live there!!

There can't be that much parking lot left by now - there wasn't alot when I left!
