++Cheerleaders! Blisters! Oversized Water Bottles! ...It Must Be Disney++ Feb 2011 TR

Ok! I'm finally pretty much caught up on your TR! Where to start...... Well, I absolutely love the Laugh Floor, too. I always have to see that each trip I go on. DTD is fun, too. I actually haven't been at night, though. I wear out so fast where we do everything in the morning, that I don't have much of a nightlife. Lol The World of Disney has to be my favorite place there. I've never been in the T-Rex cafe, but it looks cool! I will haven to do that sometime. (:

Awesome! :D So glad you caught up, Hannah :thumbsup2

The Laugh Floor is such a great show. I know it's pretty much the same everytime, but seriously with the different people and personalities they pull from the audience, I find it to vary a lot. :goodvibes

I love DTD at night! The day is fun with the performances they have, but night, everything is lit up (well not everything LOL), but it has a nice mood to it. <3 it there! World of Disney is the best there... well... actually, I think the Pin Trading tore ties it for me, but I like to Pin trade. :confused3 And yeah, it's wicked cool in there! I definitely want to make ADRs there, it would be so much fun :teeth:

Gotta love shopping at Downtown Disney! It's funny, I never used to really get t-shirts on our earlier trips but now it's become sort of a tradition for me too. You can never have too many Disney shirts. :thumbsup2 And I think I have a Sorcerer Mickey pin too.

The T-Rex looks so cool. I need to eat there sometime.

NOOO, I hate Disney depression! Is it really almost over? :sad2:

It's the best shopping there is Hahaha :D I have to get a shirt with the year on it for each of my trips now. I didn't even mean for it to become a tradition, but I had to do it since I was too late with my pins :( I only can get one shirt per trip so it has to have the year :thumbsup2 Oh, that's cool! I actually traded it... but I'll get to that later in the TR :teeth:

It is so cool! The friends I'm inviting to my sixteenth birthday in Disney were in this TR so I'm guessing they'll want to go there. And I'll probably have to go to California Grill as well :sad2: With that, I might as well just splurge and call it summer vacation LOL

:sad1: Yes, I have the updates for my last day, which will probably be... 3 or 4 then the wrap-up one and then I'll post my PTR!!! So exciting, but saddening, more tears :'( I'm glad you've enjoyed it though. :D

I'm very sorry I've been slacking off on these updates. It seems this summer of fun has become a lot busier than I thought it would, but no fear, I am here to update... so let's get to the update shall we...

CHAPTER 12: THE ATTACK OF RECEIPTS, LUGGAGE AND PIN TRADING!

It was the last day. If only it hadn't come sooner. I always dread this time, but unfortunately, it must come and thus it came. The day didn't exactly start on a high note. My room woke up a little later than usual, including myself. We only had less than an hour to get ready to bring our stuff to down to the Magical Express counter. I luckily had most of my stuff packed already, but nobody else in my room thought ahead like I did, so everything turned into chaos.

I was the first to take a shower and was the first to be ready (again!), so it was mostly waiting around for me. Our chaperone checked on us in the midst of the chaos, I being mostly calm just putting away a few last minute things. My roommates packing like maniacs. It just wasn't a good sight. They all ended up having everything ready to go down at 10. WOOHOO! Yeah, not so much.

Before he called us to go down, Dr. Jim handed out the tags needed to send the bags through Magical Express onto the plane and know what? Only Rishi and Big Nate received Magical Express luggage tags. Nate and I were left without them, which meant we had to give them our name at the Magical Express check-out desk and hope for the best. Big Nate ended up going by himself with another group, because of the size of his Baritone Saxophone and we had to wait. Then, we finally went down. There, we discovered Nate and I didn't have the same privileges as Rishi and Big Nate having the luggage tags and had to check in at the airport, meaning, we still had our luggage to haul around.

With not very disney faces, Nate and I trudged back into All Star Music, with suitcases still in hand. It just wasn't starting out as a good day for us. By the time we finished with all the Magical Express transactions, we now only had two hours left, before we had to take that infamous ride on the Magical Express out of Disney World. :( I needed to use my time wisely.

So, as I was about to start heading down to my room to put my suitcase there for the time being, I saw Sam and Gwen, a few other friends of mine who were busy eating and didn't seem to have any bags to carry with them. I wanted to go get something to eat and maybe do some last minute shopping and pin trading and didn't really want to walk all the way down to my room. I asked them if they would watch over it, since they weren't leaving anytime soon and they agreed! So, I left my stuff with them, not knowing how many bags would follow me :rolleyes2

After that, I kinda just walked around a bit. I decided to take out my pin lanyard, now that it was completely dry and sticky free, to possibly do some pin trading. I decided to go down to the gift shop to see if I could find some last minute souvenirs, still some money left in my pocket. I didn't really buy anything and left, then found a CM behind the DVC stand with a lanyard and a pin display and on his lanyard, I found a green puffle pin! I had to have it. So, I traded my American Flag inside Mickey Ears one that I didn't like for it. This was a milestone since I actually pin traded and got rid of the one pin I didn't want. CHYEAH! Here is a picture of the pin I got:

019-1.jpg

So, this began my pin trading adventure. After this, I went back into the gift shop. Liz, the girls I was with 's chaperone came by and asking if I wanted her Ursula pin. I turned it down because it was so tiny, but that was my last chance at getting a villains pin. She did end up giving me her last dining card to use, so that's a plus :teeth: I ended up buying one last pin, a Figaro pin! I've just loved him since I first saw Pinocchio. Isn't he just adorable. Look at this pin:

020.jpg

After getting that pin, I traded with the cashier lady, who was very nice. She even introduced me to this pin board they had there. I thought that was really cool and I found a FIGMENT PIN! So cool and it was a Hidden Mickey one, even cooler! So I traded my Pluto pin for that. And check out the Figment pin:

021.jpg

I was very happy and enjoyed checking out my lanyard. It looked like it was truly a presentable lanyard now. I don't know what that meant for my trading status, but I loved it the way it was. Then, I noticed after trading my Pluto pin, there was no Pluto to be found. This was unacceptable since I am Pluto's RHM (which stands for Right Hand Man, btw) and had to represent him on my lanyard. This was saddening, so I just went back to where Sam and Gwen were, and sat with them for awhile.

Rishi came by with his lanyard, which he was prepared to trade off of and I noticed he had a Pluto pin on there. I asked for it, but he told me no. Well, that just foiled my plans. He left with Nate to go pin trade and I just sat for a bit with Sam and Gwen as more bags gathered around us. One of the chaperones, whom I know before this trip, joked about asking for money since they had so many bags. It was pretty funny and struck up a conversation. Well, I kinda jumped into a conversation, but it was something to do. She also showed off one of those crazy hats you find in World of Disney and I thought that was hilarious. She was going to use it as a signaling device to her chaperone group. Oh, she was great! Tina walked over around this time and asked if anyone wanted to go spend all their cards on some last minute food. Everyone else said they were good, but I said I would and we went on inside.

We both had a ton of money left to spend on our dining cards so this was the perfect time to do so. We ended up buying a pizza to split and some extra snacks for the plane ride home. I got some Chip & Dale Snack Co. Cashews, while Tina got some Minnie's Bake Shop Chocolate Chip Cookies. I also ended up buying a refillable mug, the last day of the trip, even with the one back home, but the more souvenirs the better. Now, this is where the receipts come in. So together, we probably had... ten dining cards take or add a few, this meant for MANY receipts. I think we held up the line because of this. I kept on apologizing to the cashier, but she was fine, though she didn't seem exactly happy, but she let me keep all the cards for souvenirs, so I still have them. I also kept the receipts and still have them. Yeah, I'm just that crazy! :teeth:

After all that, we went back outside to the table with Gwen and Sam enjoying our pizza. I went back in to refill my mug with root beer, forgetting that I had to drink it all before getting on the plane. After finishing the pizza (Tina ended up abandoning it after one slice), noticing how close it was to being time for our departure, I remembered about this really cool Pluto pin I saw on the Pin Board in Maestro Mickey's and, regretting my decision of trading the last Pluto pin, I had to get it. So I raced down, asked for the pin board and traded my sorcerer mickey pin (sorta regretted this, but maybe I could trade with my sister :goodvibes) and I got the Pluto pin. Check it out:

022-3.jpg

I went back and practically inhaled my root beer, finishing the whole thing up, stuffed it in my bag and waited around for those last few minutes. It was about only twenty minutes now until we had to meet out front, so I didn't have a ton of time left in Disney. I decided to relax, with nothing really to do, took a bathroom break, now, just under 15 minutes, I went out to the best, trying to hide the sadness and depression, always present when I was leaving the most magical place on Earth...

CHAPTER 13: I GET LUCKY AND... AN EXTENDED STAY! coming soon!

Definitely not, the day you leave Disney is the day the Disney depression begins :sad2: But yea, I definitely did. I didn't even get to do what I wanted to on this trip, so I made the best and did some last minute pin trading and the Figaro pin was well worth it, even though it wasn't a nice pin, it was still worth it :thumbsup2

awesome update Timmy :thumbsup2

You have no idea :sad2: But I think without it, there wouldn't be that drive to go back. You want to stay forever, but you can't, so once you get back, you plan your next trip :teeth: Yeah, it still sucks.

Figment is AWESOME! That one is actually part of a collection, I really want to try to find the whole thing my next trip. :thumbsup2

I'm so happy that it is slowly coming to fruition. I thought I would never be going again until I graduated. Once I finish this TR, I will start the PTR for that trip :gooodvibes

You're going to see the Midnight Premiere!!! LUCKY!! I wanted to go see it, but my mom said no at first and then said yes, but it was too late :( Oh well... maybe I'll see it the day of :teeth: Have a great time! (:

I hopeed over to this TR too and I read the whole entire first day! Wow, this sounds like a lot of fun :yay: I wish I got to go on a trip like this! It probably would have drove me nuts, though, to be waiting around all of the time. Good job being patient!

The flip flops sounds like they were really painful! They really are uncomfortable to wear in Disney... I agree! Sneakers are too, though, although they're a little bit better. My feet hurt no matter what!

This whole Italy dinner thing sounds awesome! I bet that was great! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to read more.. but I have to take a break for now! Yay for TR's :)

Glad you made it over, Jess! (: :welcome:

It was a lot of fun, though there was the waiting at the beginning and end of the trips, but Disney was worth it :goodvibes Though the worst wait was for our buffet at Italy Isola, which was awesome :cloud9: Totally worth that wait.

I can't believe I survived a whole day in those. When I got back to my room that night, my feet were killing me. I have collapsed arches (flat feet), so I usually wear inserts, so it wasn't just the major blisters but my ankles were angled inward because they weren't supported and that didn't feel good, so my feet were pretty beat up that first day.

Oh, it was awesome! The reception was unanimous, everyone loved it. I'm still trying to figure out which Table Service in Italy the food came from because I really want to go there since the food was that good. Maybe that will be my birthday ADR... hmmm...

I hope you enjoy the rest! :smickey:

CHAPTER 13: I GET LUCKY... AND AN EXTENDED STAY... AS ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END

I ended up getting up and going out front early. There were a few people from the big group I was with, but nobody had really come out yet until the exact moment we were about to leave. We waited around for awhile and our whole group filled up the Magical Express waiting area, so I was almost stuck in the crowd with my huge suitcase and everything. I luckily made it out and stood on the outside, avoiding the catastrophe that would've happened.

Before we left, my chorus teacher and the band teacher both alerted anyone who still had a suitcase would go with one of the extra chaperones that came along to get them checked in. They pointed him out and everything was set. It was soon after the buses finally came. After storing my bag in the bottom of the bus and getting on, we were off to the airport for that fateful Magical Express ride back to the airport. I don't know why but I went crazy with my camera taking pictures on our way out:

"We hope to see you again soon!" Yes, I really really do. :teeth:

We finally arrived at the airport. Of course, the many buses caused for another long wait until we could finally go get down to the insanity of the Orlando Airport. I soon found out after everyone who needed to check-in their bags at the airport was here that there were 20 of us! That's like 1/5th of everyone who was there. I don't get why we couldn't have just sent it all through Magical Express... ?_?

All of us needing bag checks met in the area outside the Jet Blue bag check-in and went right in. Checking in our bags was pretty uneventful. We did get backed up when one of the senior girls in chorus's brother had a little trouble with getting his trombone through the bag check-in weigh-in. Besides that we went through quickly and the after part is where I got lucky :teeth:

So after the bag check-in, everyone got tickets. As you remember, on the way here, I sat up close to the front where the Extra Leg Room seats on JetBlue are, well... I got lucky again and got seats there. Almost everyone who had to do this extra check-in was seated up there. Then, there were the few unlucky ones who had to sit WAY in the back. :sad2: Everyone was checked in quickly and we continued on our way.

Security was also very uneventful though we laughed at the little sign for how much wait we had to get through security. Isabella, another girl I knew, joked about getting a FP :lmao: Yeah, not that funny, but it was nice to feel some magic there. *~*~*<--- that's pixie dust.

After we got through security, everyone went to get on the tram (mini-monorail) to get to our terminal. When we got on, I was with my friend, Nate, Isabella, Caterina (the senior girl whose brother had trouble at check-in) and Matt. I think there was one other person, I forget who it was, but only three of us got the chance to sit down on our short ride. It ended up being me, Nate and the person I forget. Caterina wanted a seat and was whining about it (as a joke of course), when all of the sudden Matt came trampling through and yelled at me "Give up the seat for the lady!" Everyone started bursting out laughing, except me and him. I was a bit scared, but didn't budge and kept my cool but he kept going at me and the laughter ensued. In the end, when we were just coming into the terminal I let her sit and got off right after. Go figure!

We got off, waited for the next group to come through and then made our way to our terminal. At the terminal, we learned that our flight was delayed because of storms coming in around our area. It ended up being delayed an hour and a half so I ended up being in the terminal longer than I expected (: (: (: My extended stay right there.

While in the terminal, after just sitting doing nothing, I ended up joining my friend, Alicia and one of my Disney pals this trip, Tina and their friends for a game of... ummm... forget what the name of the game was, but it was a card game and really helped past the time. I took some pictures when I was learning how to play-

It really helped past the time because soon enough, we were off flying back to the snowy, cold place called home ):

311.jpg

Of course the uneventful-ness continued and I enjoyed the little snack I brought for the flight back-

312.jpg

We arrived at Logan Airport around 10ish and being one of the first of the plane, I got to feel the shock of the cold (I was still wearing shorts), which nobody liked. We all talked about it after getting off, while waiting for everyone else stuck back in the crowd (which was everyone past my row strangely :confused3). After everyone got off, some went on a bathroom break then met up with the chaperones to hear about the game plan. After everyone had done what they had to do, we headed down to get our luggage.

As soon as the carousel started rotating, I found my luggage fairly quickly. I was one of the first to get my luggage so I had more waiting to do Urrrggghhh, but after me everyone suddenly found theirs and we were off to the bus for our, what felt longer than usual, drive back to home. It was pretty cold, so I got in my jacket and wore it out side, with my shorts still on, trying to hold onto the Florida heat (Sadly didn't work) I went out, got my stuff put away in the bus and got on. I took some last minute pictures before I was in for the long haul-

^The last picture of this whole trip

After a nap and an hour or so of driving, we got back to the school, the annoying white stuff called snow covering every inch of ground that was there to walk on. My dad was the one who came to get me. I was leaving the next day further north to go snowboarding (like every year :P). I was only one home for that night, thus this ends "Cheerleaders! Blisters! Oversized Water Bottles! ...It Must Be Disney" a TR by PlutosRHM55 (aka Timmy)
