++Cheerleaders! Blisters! Oversized Water Bottles! ...It Must Be Disney++ Feb 2011 TR

Just read everything, awesome job! I am around your age as well, but I am not in band, so no extra Disney trip for me :sad2: Also, I have a random question. How did you like Jetblue? ;)

Thanks and :welcome: though this TR is almost over, always room for new readers :D Oh, really? That's cool. I'm actually in chorus not band, just to clarify. I used to be, but I prefer chorus :teeth: But it's okay, if you don't get the chance to go with school, I personally think with family is much better (:

Jetblue? Hmmm... I actually have to say, though I did enjoy the TVs, they just weren't very efficient as other airlines. This I'm comparing to Southwest. On Southwest, our delays were minimal getting on the plane and on the runway. I also could easily replace those TVs with my iPod if I could, though it would be sad not knowing where you were, but the Captain was very good on updating the passengers on our location on Southwest. So... while I did enjoy it with some of the more intriguing amenities, Southwest was just much better :teeth:

Timmy, you are getting really good at this...nice TR! Are you going to IOA on your next trip? The Harry Potter part is pretty awesome and since you are a HP fan I think it is a must go!!!:goodvibes

Thanks and :welcome:, I hope you enjoy this TR just as much as my other one (:

I'm hoping to. None of my friends who I've asked to come have done it and we're all Harry Potter fans going so I'm really edging to sneak in one day at IOA and Universal since... I've never been there hahaha So while I really want to go, it's not set in stone, neither is the trip itself, but that's the point of starting a TR so early :goodvibes

Checking in on this report. Most of the other reports I subbed to just dropped off the planet.:confused3

If you get the chance WWOHP is a MUST DO for Potter fans, it's fun even if you aren't a fan but for fans? It's like stepping into the movies or the books. The rest of IOA is a lot of fun too, especially the water rides.
It's expensive, but most one day park tickets even to Disney are pricey.

Hope you get to go! Start that Pre Trip report and maybe it'll bring on good karma:woohoo:

Awwww... well I'm still here! And there are a ton AMAZING TRs, so definitely look around the TR board some more :teeth:

I really want to go. My parents have already said they would totally come back to Orlando for a non-Disney trip (though I have no clue how they are going to get that by me :p) and Universal was definitely on that list. I'm hoping, by adding that incentive for my next trip (maybe some SeaWorld too...), that it'll be signed, sealed and we're booking ADRs :goodvibes

Thanks! (: I'm just starting to put the wrap-up update together, so it'll be up soon and then my PTR probably will be posted soon after. :cool1:

CHAPTER 14: IT'S THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE! YOU DON'T NEED TO STOP, IT'S YOUR CHANCE, LIVE IT UP!

029.jpg

6 months this trip took place and now this report is finally coming to a close. It's amazing how long it takes to relive a trip before you have to stop (). For this reason and many others, I have to thank you, my amazing readers for staying with me through this crazy ride called Cheerleaders! Blisters! Oversized Water Bottles! A TR by PlutosRHM55 (Timmy, whichever you prefer), your comments have always been greatly appreciated and I just love getting to know all of you. You all are some amazing people in your own right. (: Now, to the lurkers, yes I know you're out there, I invite you to redeem yourself by joining in all the insanity now or pay the consequences. The consequences in this situation aren't the most pleasant and I'll just leave you at that, but I thank you for stopping by to read along as well and I've hoped you enjoyed this TR, reading it as I've had writing it, this also goes out to the other readers, as well. :D I couldn't thank you guys enough! (: With that said, I have one last thank you...

Before I get into what it is, I must shout-out to my all-time favorite TR author, Jess aka Disneyfreak508. If you haven't read any of her TRs, I advise you to check them out. She is just finishing up her second official TR and just began writing her third so lots of trips to read, but I would like to make this shout-out mostly to her first TR, which I call, in simpler terms, the tale of the frumpy bathrobe princesses! In this TR, she made a whole video documentary of her adventures and I must say she did a FANTASTIC job. I had done something similar before this with my first trip on the same program, but in an older version, so after seeing she added this to her TR, I decided to make one for this trip, but in her advanced format, so after a long conversation with her (she is the sweetest person ever), I soon was hooked up and ready to get this "wrap-up" together. Mine, of course, not as elaborate as hers and not much of a video, but just a slideshow of pictures, including ones that I removed from earlier in the TR for all who survived this story of woe, excitement and various other emotions. Without futher ado, I present the tale of "Cheerleaders! Blisters! Oversized Water Bottles! ... It Must Be Disney" in pictures, videos and music:

Jess, I hope you're okay with me borrowing your idea. I have done it before, but just not with the updated software and more Disney music. Okay, I'll stop ranting and get to the my final thoughts so I can spare myself from the waterworks, which generally doesn't occur with me, but still maybe you are just as sad as I am about this trip report ending. I really need to stop carrying this out, so much to say with so little time, I'll just get right to it.

This trip definitely fulfilled my expectations. It was just as amazing as any ordinary trip to Disney could be. I know that sounds strange when I just finished a TR where it wasn't just the regular trip to the most magical place on earth with the always lovely family, but with my peers and all my closest friends. I probably should be ranting about this being the trip of a lifetime, but in my opinion, my first trip with the family was just a lot more magical. It was my first trip with a whole list of firsts and firsts are always the most concrete memories in my mind, this were just like the memories I share with my friends everyday with just another dash of pixie dust, though that is something beautiful in itself, what that first trip brought out in my family, there's no comparison, but lemme get off comparing the only two trips to Disney I have under my belt and just focus on this one trip.

As I said at the beginning, this trip was amazing! I had so much fun. Going to Disney with friends is something most DISers my age dream about. I don't think that cheesy so-bright-it-hurts smile never left my face throughout this whole trip. I also think I lost my voice, laughing through all the craziness. Everyone involved in my portion of the trip will probably be talking about this for years to come, we still talk about it to this day. I don't think a day goes by, hanging out with my friends where we start chanting "You know that we are the B-E-S-T, better than all of the R-E-S-T!", an annoying cheer that became probably the biggest highlight of our trip. I don't think I could every look at a water bottle in the normal manner or wear my adidas flip flops without thinking of my race to the buses through world showcase WITHOUT THEM. This trip is immortal in my mind.

That said, I would like to re-iterate the highlights of the trip with...

Timmy's Teers of Terrific Sometimes Terrible Tidbits From Tarries In The World

Okay, maybe that isn't the best name, but basically it's just a list of the top 10 memories from this trip. Of course, we'll start the countdown from 10 (i.e. Some of these pictures are not of the actual occurences, but have a relation to them)...

#10: AN HONORARY CAST MEMBER FOR THE DAY

disney-chorus-full.jpg

I think this goes without saying. My dream is to someday work at Disney and for a few moments I was let into the society where that happens. Then, getting to perform in Disney itself while Mickey watches from above (World of Disney), it was so surreal. I will always cherish this once in a lifetime chance I got.

#9: NO USE CRYING OVER SPILLED LEMONADE

354.jpg

It happens to us all the time, but they always make for something to laugh about when you say "Remember when..." Having screwed on that lid so tightly and then for the whole thing to explode, forcing me to switch the contents of my bag and cleaning my pin lanyard (which took forever to get rid of the smell), this was just an everlasting issue throughout the whole day, so I think it deserves a place in the countdown.

#8: SORRY, CAN'T TALK RIGHT NOW, BYE!

289.jpg

If you're talking about the most irritating phone calls, this would be on the top of any list. It's so very irritating when you're trying to get answers and all a person does is answer the phone to hang up on you. I think this will be left in the black sheep of Disney memories, but it was a memorable moment nonetheless.

#7: GIVE UP THE SEAT FOR THE LADY!

315.jpg

While this didn't happen IN Disney, it was just so funny, I had to give it a spot. I mean, I had to give the lady a seat! (; That just speaks for itself right there. When a person just spontaneously yells at you to get off your butt and move, it adds a whole sense of hilarity and shock. This was all completely unplanned and the antics used in the situation make it just that great in my mind.

#6: "IT'S WARM..."

251.jpg

This created a total sense of paranoia for anyone who was there when this happened. I'm pretty sure there are many names that could be given to what had happened in this moment. When someone walks over with a splotch of white stuff on their arm after standing under a tree, you're almost 100% sure it was bird poo. I, of course, wasn't totally assured and had to bring up the probability of Ice Cream and of course, the counter-argument to that was "It's Warm..." This will forever be burned in the minds of my group and I think that was the only time I cowered in fear at the site of something non-human.

#5: A DIFFERENT KIND OF BAG CHECK

035.jpg

The course that the events took in this situation were so unprecedented and shocking, it will never happen again. It seemed normal at the start until we got to the bag with many zippers and of course the security guy had to turn around and say "I just got my nails done." Then, of course, he had to continue his comments looking through the bag then cue Jocelyn and the hysterical laughter ensued. It just goes to show how CMs can truly make a day that more magical.

#4: "POR FAVOR MANTENGANSE ALEJADO DE LAS PUERTAS"

190.jpg

You guessed it? THE MONORAIL! It was my first time ever on the monorail and you couldn't get into a funnier situation then what we got ourselves into. I'm still a noob in the world of Disney compared to most DISers especially when it comes to forms of Disney transportation that isn't the buses. Putting all of us noobs in the situation of getting from one park to another, let's just say we make things more complicated than they should... And for that to happen TWICE over the course of consecutive days, my DISerly love for the monorail will be forever unique.

#3 ONE PARTICULAR JAUNT THROUGH WORLD SHOWCASE

080.jpg

I think I'm the only one who laughs at this. What person runs through World Showcase barefooted? *raises hands* Now, you understand? There's also a lesson here for the kids, NEVER and I repeat N.E.V.E.R. wear flip flops in Disney, it may just lead to situations like this. Of course, the fact that I did run for World Showcase gave me a lead onto which bus would bring me to the resort, so it was just a happy memory even with the stinging pain of blisters...

#2: OVERSIZED WATER BOTTLES!

249.jpg

It is just amazing how strong a mark something as simple as water a bottle left a mark on our trip. These were HUGE and carried all of us through our full day in Magic Kingdom. I think when you start taking pictures of this water bottle then you know that there is something special about it. Because of these, my outlook on the size and state of water bottles will never be the same. I will be forever awestruck by these freaks of nature.

And, last, but certainly not least....

#1: YOU KNOW THAT WE ARE THE B-E-S-T!

146.jpg

The number one "Tidbit" of this whole trip. I'm sure for anyone who was there that day will remember this moment forever, even in old age, watching generations of yourself running around the World, we'll always remember this. Who knew a cheer as annoying as this would become our quote for the rest of the trip and we still sing it today whenever we come to a theme park. If those cheerleaders hadn't switched bus lines these prophetic words would've never met our ears. All aside, "You know that we are the B-E-S-T! Better than all of the R-E-S-T!"

I'd also like to highlight a few other special tidbits from this trip that were fairly memorable such as our IllumiNations Dinner on Italy Isola, my first ride on Tower of Terror, Pin Trading and many others, but the ones I listed were definitely the highlights of this trip.

As you can clearly see this was one fantastic trip filled with oodles of fun! We couldn't have asked for more. We did many new things, maybe missed a few things we shouldn't have missed, but looking back, I had no regrets on the trip so why should I regret something now. You can only do so much over a five day trip and I think I did just enough. There are always future trips as well to look forward to (:

Now as I end this trip, for those of you, still wanting more, I do have one other TR, which is still in progress, of my first ever trip to Disney titled When I First Felt the Magic... FINALLY! This took place last year in April so it's basically over a year old, but I say to not miss out on reading this, it was a... life changing trip. I may be taking this trip too far, but when you wait so long to go on this one trip, it's amazing how strong an effect the trip has on you. Also, I will be starting my first official PTR for my 16th birthday trip. If you take a gander at the ticker in my signature or understand when next Spring is, that is going to be a LOOONNGG PTR, but hopefully it will be well worth it getting ahead. I will post a link to it once it's up and ready :teeth:

Again, thank you for following along and joining me as I relive this wonderful trip! And because I started this update with a picture, I shall end with one--

192.jpg

And as the say in Disney, Have a magical day! :mickeyjum

Enjoyed your TR a lot :) Every update that i read reminded me of ow much fun disney with friends can be. Yes sometimes it gets weird to not be able to turn to your family when you have any kind of comment to make but the other parts of a friends-trip far outweigh that part of it. I liked how you also did the videos of your trip like jess did in her TR. I haven't gotten a chance to watch yours yet but i'm sure there good :) I liked you idea of doing a top 10 for the trip. On my last trip to disney I sat down at the end of each day and wrote a top 10 list for each day (i tried to do a TR for this trip but since i had not discovered the DIS yet at the time of the trip i didn't take very good trip notes so i forgot a lot of the details by the end of the 4th day of my trip so i didn't get to finish it :( my next trip i definitely plan on doing a complete TR and to take good notes of each day of my trip. anyhow, the point of that story was that i love making those kind of top 10 lists, they really help you remember tips and advice you have for people and help you remember parts of the trip. I never thought of doing one for the trip as a whole, that's a cool idea!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! (: And yeah, Disney with friends is very fun, a study in extreme opposites to with family :thumbsup2 I prefer with family though, since my mom, in Disney, on rides=priceless. Though, being able to share with your friends is really cool as well, though it is much harder trying to run the whole trip when they are dragging you behind :/ Still, tons of fun (: And I hope you like the videos too :D I would say just watch the review one, it's much better than the other five in my opinion :teeth:

Thanks! I've seen other TRs list out the most memorable moments from the trip so I decided to do it too since this had a lot of crazy moments LOL And I think I was reading your TR. I'm sad you didn't finish it, it was really good. I actually didn't take any notes at all for this trip, by the way but I've got a fairly good memory so a lot of the important stuff wasn't hard to remember, pictures help as well (: So taking A LOT of pictures really is a good asset. Definitely tell me when you start writing another TR, I would love to read. (: And yeah, those top 10 lists definitely help with remembering the trip. I can split up the days, but sometimes the events get mixed up and those moments help as guidelines and it makes it all very coherent :goodvibes

Thank you for reading along! :wizard:

Great wrap-up. I only watched one of the videos so far but it was really cool! Isn't it amazing what you can do with technology? Nice work. :thumbsup2

Thanks Sarah! (: I'm glad you liked the videos :teeth: And I know right, and it's really fun making them :goodvibes

Thanks for reading along! :wizard:

Aw I can't believe it's come to an end already :( I hate ending TRs so much. I really enjoyed reading it though. And you're so lucky you have a new trip to look forward too!

I love the videos! That's such a good idea, and the music you chose is great! They seem like a really fun way to relive the trip even more. I'd love to make them for mine, if only I had the time (and knew how to, Lol!)

I'll be anxiously awaiting your PTR for your birthday trip:thumbsup2

Me too :( I know, it just feels like your own trip has ended though you haven't even left your house LOL. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I can't wait until I get to share the next trip with y'all :D

Thanks! They really are a great way to relive the trip. Instead of just flipping through pictures, I have music set behind them to make it a bit more interesting. I've done it for basically every "big" trip I've taken since the year before Disney so I'm probably going to be doing it from now on

I'll be posting it up soon enough. Thanks for reading along with this one, Clarice! (:

I can't believe I've missed your TR for so long! I love reading fellow teen's TRs! Going back to read now!

Well, glad you could join, though I just sorta ended it LOL, but new readers are welcomed anytime so :welcome: Hope you enjoy reading my TR! (:

Timmy! I finally finished reading and your trip report was great. I'm amazed at all the little details you take note of. I loved reading about you guys being Honorary Cast Members and just getting from one place to the next! Trips with friends are definitely different, but fun in a new way. :wizard: Now I just have to finish your first TR and I'll be good! :thumbsup2

Awesome :woohoo:, I'm glad you liked it, Stephanie! I sorta have this weird thing for being extra detailed with writing, yeah I'm strange. It was so much fun being an Honorary Cast Member. We got to see the backstage area, it was almost like a special tour. So much fun! :goodvibes And yeah, Disney with friends is tons of fun, gives a whole different perspective on the parks. :thumbsup2 I hope you enjoy the rest of my first one, can't wait to hear what you think of that! :mickeyjum

I finished it! haha It was great! Sounds like it was amazing! By the way I really loved that pink duck boat thingy! By the way I am sooo jealous of you getting to be an honorary cast member for a day!;) That would be so much fun!

Now I have to read the PTR but I'll do that later, because I have to do homework -.- haha but this one was great!:) I really enjoyed reading it, Timmy! :goodvibes

EDIT: wowww I just realized I said "by the way" a lot lol!

I have a pretty good memory but I'd just like to be a little more detailed. :goodvibes I want to go to Disney with a big group. Well, not like HUGE. But more than 2. :lmao: I'm actually planning one for Spring Break, now I just need to find people to bring.
