Cheap business holiday cards??

I'm looking to send out some Thanksgiving cards to my clients....about 100...something personalized/pre printed. I'm shocked at the prices! Debating if I should just pick some up at the dollar store and sign them myself?? Any suggestions?

A couple of years ago we stopped sending holiday cards for our business and switched to letters. The cards were cumbersome. To get a head start, I would buy them a year early. They were a pain to store, a pain to figure numbers, and a pain to find something reasonably secular, mild and tasteful, while still affordable.

So, I purchased several packs of paper and composed "Thank you for your business"-type letters. I vary the text, so that I have 3 or 4 letters, and vary the paper, with 6 or 7 types of stationary. That way I appear to do something different each year. I also coordinate the typeface, print color and envelope to go with the stationary. Like these, Thanksgiving Stationary samples, only I use holiday.

I keep a sample of what I've sent each year in a binder, along with a mailing list of the clients for that year. That way, if I add or drop someone, I have a record.

I find that the stationary and envelopes take up much less space than the boxes of cards and they are easier to store (they are all the same size and stack nicely). The binder takes up 1.5" of shelf space.

If you could use a picture of something and a photo card, there are usually black Friday deals. I have found 100 photo cards for under $20 the last few years, and they are preprinted, so only have to address envelopes.
I really like the pp stationery idea; I am in awe of the organization described as well!
