Just catching up again. I love the pink beret and how DD really works it!

She is super cute for sure. I think our daughters look somewhat alike.

I am glad you scolded those girls. that drives me so batty.

I am glad we did, too. We couldn't see a thing !!! It was so rude.

Reading from my phone so I can't see pictures too well. Although I admit to taking a total of 3 flash pictures in SSE ( to get the hydrographic s) I can't imagine being so clueless as to take that many flash pictures. I'm glad your DH embarrassed them.

Day 5 – Part 2

When I last left you, we were headed back over towards Adventureland again. We wanted to stay close so we could get to DD’s appointment.
See the crowds ??







No ?? Me either !! Ahhhh – September !!!

DD wanted to ride Aladdin’s Magic Carpets



Watch out for the camel …. He spits.









Then it was time for DD’s Pirate League appointment.



They asked us to wait a bit





They gave us a “menu” - as if we had not already decided what we wanted.



After about 10 minutes we were called in.



We checked in and we were taken to a table where DD got some dice and put them in this box



I am in love with the map in the background.

They reach in and pull out the dice.



Based on the numbers you get on your dice, they choose your Pirate Name. DD’s was CHARLOTTE SINGEDSKULL !!! Yarrrrr.

She was seated and ready for her makeover. She chose the Empress Makeover



This was her attendant and he was hilarious. Very energetic and asking lots of funny questions.



I took photos of our surroundings.





Here is the lady doing her hair. See how happy everyone is?

Pirate Makeover continued.

Here is the little bag of things she got. She got a necklace, an eye patch, some nail polish, some lip gloss, some face jewels, a sash, earrings and a bandana. And a sword, which didnt fit in the bag of course.











Here she is taking the pirate oath.

Oh and she got a tattoo.





Then we waited for photos.

They took us in for photos and I was not allowed to take any. And to tell the truth, I havent looked at the ones on photopass yet.

Oh yes !! She was Rapunzel a year or two ago. She LOVED it !! We just did the hair and make-up though. I got the dress from the Disney Store for $45 or so.

This was the day after Labor Day. We got a lot done that day. And had several hours at the pool that afternoon.

You got quite a few attractions done before the pirate makeover. I crack up every time I see your DS in that wool cap. Boys!!!!

It was pretty hot. I don't see how he could stand it. And he has the cutest curly blond hair. Sigh .... what are gonna do??

If the Grand Floridian Tea isn't your thing, perhaps this is something you can do on your girls weekend. They have a couple of girly options and it costed about $35 which I thought was a good value. You have to pay extra for the photos of course. I need to find that card and see if hers are worth buying.

It isn't scary at all. All highjinks and fun. DD really enjoyed it.

Day 5 – Part 3

After Charlotte Singedskull emerged from her makeover, she proclaimed that she was hungry – yarrrr !!



So we went over to Be Our Guest to take our chances in the line there.





We be hungry !! Arrggghhh !!!



The line was out to the middle of the bridge, so it wasn’t bad. What WAS bad was that it was hot, very hot. And on that bridge there is no cover. The line didn’t move very fast and the reason for this is because they were allowing Fast Pass and those people had priority. And I support that, but if they are going to continue with it, then they need a cover over that bridge. They did have a cart with water that they served to the people in line and they handed out golf umbrellas. The people in front of us were really wild with their umbrellas and almost poked me in the eye a couple of times before I reminded her that there were people behind her. She apologized profusely and then she was more still. So thankfully I didn’t need to borrow my daughter’s eye patch.



I tried to coax a smile out of the boy





Even though it was very hot, he still insisted upon wearing that stupid hat. We looked over the menu they handed out to the people in line and he decided he didn’t want anything there, so we let him go over to Tomorrowland to get something to eat.







Finally, we got inside out of the hot sun.









The people in front of us were NOT prepared and they took forever to order. And finally, it was our turn. We knew what we wanted and in 30 seconds flat, we were off to find a table.

DD wanted to eat in the West Wing.



It was dark in there, but the effects were neat. We waited no longer than 2-3 minutes and our food arrived.

DD got the Croque Monsieur.



Which she wouldn’t eat. I did coax her to eat some of the ham. And she loved the fries of course.

I got the Pork Tenderloin



It was really good and it was a lot of food so I couldn’t finish it. It was a heavy meal for such a hot day, but still – it was delicious. On a cool windy day – this would have been the perfect comfort food.

DH got the roast beef sandwich



He said it was good but the bread was a little hard for him to eat.

For dessert, DD got the chocolate cupcake, DH got the raspberry cream puff and I got the lemon cupcake.



All of these tasted very good. Very moist and fresh. The wrappers are very difficult to remove. I was able to find the seam on DD’s cupcake and remove the wrapper. Mine was glued on tight though, so I just ate mine with a spoon. So delicious.

After eating, we looked around the restaurant some. It was very crowded. I can’t imagine how crazy it would be during a high crowd time period. But for September – this place was packed. There was even a line for the bathroom.

Charlotte Singedskull wanted to ride the Barnstormer, so we went over there.







I opted to check out the gift shop because I was so full and it was still very hot outside. I bought a puzzle.



I just love puzzles. And when you combine them with a Disney theme – it is a win-win for me.

It was about 1:00 PM at this time, and we had reconnected with the boy, so we all headed back to the resort. It was pool time !!!

Aha! The birth of the TR name - I get it! She was adorable and how fun is that. If it didn't look funny for an old gal like me to do that I just may. (Mind you, no one else in my family would do that!)

I really want to try the roast beef sandwich at BoG. Too bad the roll is a bit tough. I agree with you about those cupcake wrappers. I just want to dig into it, not fight getting the wrapper off.

You PotC story with the gals with the flash (and yes, this Diser thanks you for saying something!) reminds me of several years ago when someone behind me kept taking photos with the flash. I finally said that's really annoying to this person. (I didn't really see them since I turned over my shoulder to say it.) When we got off the ride I saw that it was a young teen girl with her dad. Uhhhh... nothing like me parenting their kid. I did feel kinda bad and said sorry if I was rude but it really distracted from the ride. She smiled and said she was sorry. She got it.

Yes, the story all comes together now. She loved the Pirate's League. Had a great time. Lots of adults do it and they add more girly stuff stuff every year. I vote you do it !! That way we can all yell - "We wants the redhead !!!"

She is the pickiest child alive. She was expecting just a plain ham and cheese. I think that if she would have tried it with an open mind, she would have liked it. But no, that pirate girl is stubborn !!
