Charlotte Singedskull and the Frozen Castle-Aug 30 thru Sept 4- Complete!

Your DD looks darling in her new beret!

Enjoying your WS photos. I love this photo, the sky looks like a painting!

That Yorkshire County fish always looks so delish! I must try that one of these days. We usually go in October, so with all the Food and Wine goodies, we never get around to trying the fish.

Same with us. We always wanted to try it, but we never got around to it.

Your daughter looks adorable in her beret! I'm with her on soft serve ice cream.

Thanks !! that ice cream is soo good and creamy.

Server Amusant scares me. I'm the logical worrier. Was there some kind of cushion on the ground around him? Don't these people know what happened at Cirque!?

I know, right?? They are really high up there and that is REAL concrete.

Your DD looks darling in her new beret!

Thanks. She has worn it pretty much all day here.

Thanks !! The light was perfect that day to get some great WS shots for sure.

Before I comment on anything else.... I LMAO at your DD freezing her brothers gift card. Brilliant!! Freeze my castle..I'll do you one better big brother..I freeze your money inside it. Give new meaning to the phrase cold, hard cash.

Okay so on with the show.

I really hope y'all liked EtwB. I love it! I was happy your DD got picked for a part. I really wanted her to be the Beast b/c she would have been hilarious at it, but I'm happy she got Phillipe. Girls do love their horses! I'm still bummed my DD and I did not get Chip and Mrs. Potts! We were seriously soooo lucky to find the line that short at the height of the day. Maybe the heat sent a lot of people back to their resort pools.

The tea was fantastic! So.Much.Fun!! I'm so glad you suggested we do it. Much better than going to dinner at the Coral Reef!

Speaking of dinner, I can't believe y'all had room for dinner after that tea. I didn't think it would hold me, but it did!

Row 1 on Soarin'.... it just doesn't get any better!

Looks like y'all had a great day at the WS! I've never tried the Fish and Chips either. DD isn't much for fried fish.

Love the beret! Glad she finally got it.

Kids and that Japan store. I wish they had those Japanese "sleeping drawers" in there. I could just curl up for a nap while DD looked all all her anime junk in there.

Me likee the garden over in Canada. If I ever go on the Alaska cruise, I really have to add time on in Vancouver so I can go to Butchart Gardens!

It was a ghost town in Epcot the day we went as well. More so in WS than FW, but still...low crowds ...:lovestruc

Susan the photo of your daughter with her pink beret in Italy is adorable!

Backing up to get caught up... we did the GF tea this trip as well and I really enjoyed it. I knew I wouldn't eat the salmon sandwich and they subbed whatever I wanted - pb&j please!

That's funny that the gift cards were frozen in the castle. :rotfl: Very creative touch!

Your Epcot morning photos look like a deserted park until The Land. Gotta love coming though IG. :)

For Sum of all Thrills I wish they would let you do consecutive loops... I would love to just do three loop segments but it looks like they only let you create one loop segment. Yeah, I want it to be as wild as you can create it!!

It was so funny. Never a dull day with DD around.

We did like it. We tried to do it on our second MK day but the line was crazy. I have been trying to get her to do it for a while now and she just thought it was story reading. She was so happy to finally do it and to be Philippe

The tea was fantastic! So.Much.Fun!! I'm so glad you suggested we do it. Much better than going to dinner at the Coral Reef!

It really was, It was very special and I am so glad we did it together.

Speaking of dinner, I can't believe y'all had room for dinner after that tea. I didn't think it would hold me, but it did!

Oh I didn't really have any dinner. I just had abite of DH's sandwich. I was still so full. DD ate her pizza, but no, I was still full !!

Row 1 on Soarin'.... it just doesn't get any better!

The best ever. DS gets all embarrassed when I ask for first row. Whatever !!

Looks like y'all had a great day at the WS! I've never tried the Fish and Chips either. DD isn't much for fried fish.

My DD isn't either, but she tried it and then ordered some for herself later in the trip. True story.

Love the beret! Glad she finally got it.

And the she looked adorable in it, just like she told you she would.

Kids and that Japan store. I wish they had those Japanese "sleeping drawers" in there. I could just curl up for a nap while DD looked all all her anime junk in there.

I know what you mean. But even I admit, some of the stuff in there is really cool. I am obsessed with Japan's Disney fabrics. If they sold that fabric in that store - we would be dead broke.

Me likee the garden over in Canada. If I ever go on the Alaska cruise, I really have to add time on in Vancouver so I can go to Butchart Gardens!

It really is beautiful. Disney does a great job with that garden. It is no easy feat to maintain that landscape in the hot Florida sun. Ah - Alaska !! I want to go so bad !!

It was a ghost town in Epcot the day we went as well. More so in WS than FW, but still...low crowds ...:lovestruc

Yes, the crowds weren't bad at all. Even so, our 6 day trip felt like only 2 days. It went by so fast.

Susan the photo of your daughter with her pink beret in Italy is adorable!

Thanks !! She told my bestie that she would be adorable - and she was.

Backing up to get caught up... we did the GF tea this trip as well and I really enjoyed it. I knew I wouldn't eat the salmon sandwich and they subbed whatever I wanted - pb&j please!

We just LOVED the tea !! I didn't think of subbing the sandwich. Will have to do that next time now that I know I don't like smoked salmon. I was full enough anyway. I didn't even need dinner that night. Would love to do it again !!

That's funny that the gift cards were frozen in the castle. :rotfl: Very creative touch!

Kids are hilarious. Especially when they want to get even.

Your Epcot morning photos look like a deserted park until The Land. Gotta love coming though IG. :)

WS was deserted because it wasn't open yet. A great photo opportunity though.

For Sum of all Thrills I wish they would let you do consecutive loops... I would love to just do three loop segments but it looks like they only let you create one loop segment. Yeah, I want it to be as wild as you can create it!!

Yeah - no. That ride makes me sick  I usually wait while everyone else rides. DS gets the highest number he can. DD designs the tame ones, so DH rides with her.

Day 4 – Part 3

When I last left you, DH was enjoying an ice cold beer in Germany

After that, we moved on to China

The pink thing around her neck is one of our Frogg Toggs. Did I mention it was hot ?? Also, notice my DS in the background with a WOOL hat on. We had many battles over this hat during the trip and how hot he was going to be if he wore it all day. Not to mention the fact that he just looked stupid wearing it in Florida when it was 95 with a heat index of 105, but near the end of the trip, I just gave up and let him be stupid. I don’t see how he could stand it, but whatever makes him happy.

DD likes the puppets in China

We moved on to Norway

Where we rode the Maelstrom with NO wait.

Then we moved on to Mexico. Where we enjoyed the boat ride there with no wait.

And then, we must have had fastpasses for Test Track because we rode that.

Every time we got to the part where it appears you are going to run head on into the truck, we stopped. This happened three times during our trip. I was really lame. We stayed there for a few minutes with the headlights right in our face and then we SLOWLY made our way around to the doors that open to the outside. Once we got on the outside track it was the same, but it really took away from the ride to be stopped where we were. I didn’t ride it any more after that. DH and DD did say that later on, it was fixed and everything was fine.

After Test Track, we headed back to Beach Club since DD really wanted to swim. But it started raining so she didn’t get to do it. She was very sad about it. Our plan was to head over to Hollywood studios that night to see Fantasmic.

Thankfully, the rain stopped in enough time to head over to HS. We took the boat over. It was a lovely night – the rain had cooled things down some.

We went to Fairfax Fare to get some food.

This is a stock photo. The park was pretty crowded that night.

Anyway, they have a salad there that I always get.

Underneath all of that, is roasted corn, crunchy tortilla strips, tomatoes, etc. It is a really good salad. Kind of like a taco salad.

DD chose the kids macaroni

And DH got the ribs

He said these were really good, but very messy. I had to bust out the wet wipes I had in my park bag so he could get clean enough. I think he went and washed his hands after as well.

DS went over to Rosie’s All-American café and got chicken nuggets. He scarfed them down before I could get a photo. He did get this cupcake for dessert.

He didn’t want it but he said he knew DD would like it so he got it for her which I thought was sweet. It was chocolate in the inside and it had a cherry filling. DD, DH and I all had some.

Dessert that came with mine and DH’s meals was this

It was some kind of cake thingy with chocolate mousse. It was OK, but I liked their carrot cake they used to have better.

DS went to ride RnR in the single rider line. I waited for him in the gift shop while DH took DD to ride Star Tours.

We met them over there and decided to head over to Fantasmic to see if we could score a decent seat. Since I had my scooter, they sent us through the HC line and we got sit in the HC section which was nice because I can’t really walk down stairs without holding onto the railing for dear life.

The show was pretty packed, but we enjoyed it very much.

We caught the boat back to Beach Club. DD and I went to explore the Yacht Club while DH and DS went to explore the Swan and Dolphin. Those photos coming up next !!

More cute DD in her beret.

Adorable beret! Great choice. It looks perfect on her.

See the crowds ?? Yeah me neither. Ahhhh September !!

Rub it in, why don't ya! :rotfl2:

September really is wonderful. We are going next month for F&w, but I am sure I will swing back around to September soon since I no longer need to worry about taking my kids out of school.

Server Amusant really is pretty amazing. He makes it look so easy that you almost forget how dangerous it truly is.

I have never tried the fish n chips, but they remain on my bucket list!

Nice pictures of E! Glad you got great seats.

Thanks !! She is super cute, but I suppose I am biased.

I just love Food and Wine. I would love to go back again. It is a little more crowded, but at least during October the weather is better. It was VERY hot when we were there this year.

Server Amusant really is pretty amazing. He makes it look so easy that you almost forget how dangerous it truly is.

They are amazing. I used to be a compettitive skater so I can see with lots of practice how they can do it, but still I get nervous watching.

I have never tried the fish n chips, but they remain on my bucket list!

They were really good. I recommend it if you get a chance.

Nice pictures of E! Glad you got great seats.

I was glad to not have to go down the stairs. It was nice to have a seat up at the top.

No waits on some of the rides? September appears to be the time to go!

You've got to love adolescent kids! Smart move picking your battles.

Your daughter's frogg togg matches her beret! I need to pick up one of those things. The frogg togg, that is.

Nice Fantasmic photos!

It is a good time !! I really enjoy our September trips. We had trouble with DS's school last year because we took him out for 5 days in a row. So we just went over Labor Day weekend this year he only missed two days.

You've got to love adolescent kids! Smart move picking your battles.

It is very similar to having a toddler. Chose your battles is right.

If you are visiting a place that is super hot like Florida or if you live in a place that is super hot like South Carolina, they are very helpful to have. Otherwise, being outdoors just isn't much fun.

Nice Fantasmic photos!

Thanks !! DH took them.

Susan, catching up (the kids were in town so we were occupied with them).

Love your DD in her pink beret...very cute.

My DH usually always gets a beer in Germany but this time went with the wine and now is on a wine kick.

You got some great pics of Fantasmic.

Yay !! I hope you had a nice visit.

Awww ... thanks. She was quite the poser.

My DH usually always gets a beer in Germany but this time went with the wine and now is on a wine kick.

Did you know that they have a wine passport?? I have always wanted to try it. You pay $20 and you get 6-2oz. pours. I think you get 2 from Germany, 2 from Italy and 2 from France. We always mean to try it but we never do.

You got some great pics of Fantasmic.

Thanks !! DH was the photographer that night.

Ok, the gift card in the ice castle was great! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Looks like a good time in EPCOT (with a couple of nice refreshing beverages for your DH:thumbsup2) Too bad about Test Track always breaking down at the truck. That's a bummer.

Always love spending an evening at DHS and seeing Fantasmic! :thumbsup2

LOL, I noticed the wool beanie and jeans right away! My now 19 year old son went through a phase his junior year (I think) where he'd not wear shorts because he has hairy legs. I told him that was my excuse and he nearly DIED, lol. :/ I had to adopt the mindset that if he smelled good, his clothes were clean and he didn't clash too badly then I'd keep my mouth shut.

It really was. Kids find the funniest ways to get even.

We did have fun. It was really hot that day though, so refreshing beverages were a must. Yeah the Test Track thing was lame.

Always love spending an evening at DHS and seeing Fantasmic! :thumbsup2

We haven't seen in several years, so we were glad get to see it again.

Great update! :goodvibes

Thanks !!

Yeah, chose your battles. I mean if he wants to be hot and sweaty, then I guess that is OK. I was just worried he would get overheated. But he never complained about it.

Day 4 – Part 4

After Fantasmic, we caught the boat back to Beach Club.

DS and DH wanted to go explore the Swan and Dolphin. DD and I headed into the Yacht Club to check out their lobby and gift shop.

DS and DH got these photos. I wasn’t with them so I am not exactly sure where everything is, but I know it is either the Swan or the Dolphin.

Meanwhile, DD and I explored the Yacht Club

They have this really cool globe that depicts Earth from the 1600’s.

Here is the date 1651. I just love maps. Especially old maps. There is so much artistry involved in the old maps. They are just so beautiful.

We went over to check out the gift shop.

DD wanted to get something so we ended up getting her some chocolate coins.

And I got myself some caramel corn.

After that, we met up with the boys and headed back to the room to bed.

Nice update, Susan.

I have to say we really enjoyed our one night stay at the Dolphin (although I wouldn't do it for more than a day or two). I never thought I'd be interested in the Yacht Club, but I might change my mind if I got it for free...they are really expensive.

Nice pictures of both resorts. And will DD share her chocolate coins with me, please? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You don't really hear a whole lot about the Swan and Dolphin, do you?? Yes, Yacht Club is super expensive. It was really beautiful, though.

Nice pictures of both resorts. And will DD share her chocolate coins with me, please? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Those coins lasted about ten minutes. In general, that is the life expectancy of chocolate around our house. When people tell me that they really don't like chocolate, I always wonder if they actually are human. I mean - how is it possible to NOT like chocolate? It boggles the mind ....
