Characters vs. Pin Traders: It's Heated War! A Pixie-Dusted Nerdventure (COMPLETE)

Wow......with you being such a huge Goofy fan, what a great way to start the meet and greet parade!

And of course you met my main squeeze too. Always a good time.

Everyone is cut out to be space rangers! Just keep riding. :lmao:

I absolutely love Celebrate the Magic. I remember when everyone was freaking out because they were changing MMY, but I much prefer this one.

Wishes is perfection.

Jungle Cruise newbie! Gotta love the terrible jokes.

Duly noted. Do not touch the giant tarantula cage.

I really liked MMY but I LOVE Celebrate the Magic!! I think the graphics and the music are much better. I agree with you that the I See The Light section is the best. I get all kinds of emotional at that.

Wishes!!! I love that last picture you got. So beautiful.

I definitely would have shrieked if I touched that tarantula cage.

I actually got soaked once on Pirates!! Only once but it was the worst because I wasn't expecting it. I think it was because we had a lot of people in the front and not many in the back...it was a crazy POTC experience for sure.

Noooo not the hairy leg!!

I love CTM SOOOO MUCH! And I was having quite the moment during I See The Light. Good thing that was not captured on film lol

Thank you! I was just happy most of them were NOT blurry, but that one has to be my fave too.

Do NOT touch the tarantula cage... just get other people to :thumbsup2

That was how our boat was except it wasn't like half the boat was filled or anything, I just think our back row was empty if I recall correctly.

#THELEG

Beautiful pictures and the video of CtM was mindblowing.pixiedust:

Jungle Cruise:banana: First time??:confused3

Except I was the brunt of one of the jokes. The one with the 'what state are you from'... But seeing that you don't want to spoil it? Suffice to say I got the last laugh. People say I'm quick witted, came in handy on my last trip as i seemed to be an easy target but it was all great fun:rotfl2:

Your day gets better by the minute, you went commando for sure:worship:

oooh your beloved HM:hmghost: cannot wait!

We bought the 45th Anniversary shirts. All of these special shirts are going to break me:lmao:

By the way, the drop in POtC is much more severe at Disneyland, I was surprised WDWs wasn't.

Thank you! I was so happy with how they both came out, especially the photos. :goodvibes

Yup, it was my first time! Literally one of my new favorite things in Disney. :lovestruc

Haha, that's hysterical. I forget who got picked on while we were waiting at the dock, but it was pretty funny when someone did. Like I said, we had an awesome boat.

OOOOHHHH yeah. Go big or go home, I always say.

I want to get one of the shirts, but I'm not sure which one to get or if I should wait for some other attraction to release LE shirts since I already have a ton of HM merch. But really, who am I kidding? lol

I've heard that! I need to get over there soon. I'm trying to get a 60th anniversary trip rolling. REALLY crossing my fingers for that one. ::yes:: ::yes::

Donald and Goofy were both so great! Best duo to kick off the M&Gs. :teeth:

Ummmmm... Not sure about that one, but I actually enjoyed it this time so hopefully I will be able to hone my skills when my DCP rolls around.

Same! CTM is so much more magical and effective, especially considering not every image is clear from so far back and MM&Y was all about the photos projected so... not exactly the BEST way to do that, but I never saw it so I should just shut up.

Edit: PER-FEC-TION!

YES! JC just kills it in that department.

Just remember, you don't have to touch the tarantula cage... but others can. ;) ;)

Loved the photos of Wishes- you really got some good ones.

So happy you guys got some great stand by lines your first night.

Looking forward to your HM story next.

Great Wishes pictures!! The projection show is just too cool!

I'll have to remember not to touch the tarantula cage! :lmao:

Oh that leg! I know exactly what you are talking about. It's disgusting and like you said we always seem to get stuck under it with that gross foot dandling in your face. Ick.

Loved the fireworks shots!

I actually like the Jungle Cruise a lot better at night. Something about the outdoor rides at night is really exciting to me.

Thank you! I was so happy they came out so nicely. :goodvibes

We did! Powering through a Florida rainstorm is the way to go.

HM... I didn't say anything about HM... ;)

Thank you! And it is, LOVEEEE CTM!

::yes:: Do NOT touch.

It is the worst. They need to move it somewhere else where it could not possibly fall right onto you or into the boat. But really.

Thank you! So happy with how they came out! :thumbsup2

I agree. I've never been on Jungle Cruise before, but with most rides that I've rode at night there is an added sense of adventure. I want to go on JC when it's light out so I can get some photos though.

Looking forward to your next update, could use some cheering up.:tink: Bangarang Pan RIP.

Hey Timmy! I've been MIA from the Dis for about a month so I just finished catching up with your TR!

Wow, you've done so much on your first day already and it's not even over! I'm glad you loved Celebrate the Magic and Wishes! They're both so beautiful!

I can't wait to hear about your ghostly adventures in your mansion!

Looking forward to your next update, could use some cheering up.:tink: Bangarang Pan RIP.

Oh don't even bring that up anymore. I'm still not over it. But I promise to update ASAP! :thumbsup2

Hey Alex! So glad to have you back! :)

It was quite the intense first day. And OMG, they are PERFECT. I wish I could see them EVERY NIGHT! :good vibes

Mansion? Ghostly adventures? What? When did I say anything about that? :teeth:

Hello ya gawgeous readers!

I'm sorry I had such a big gap between updates. I had a bit of a stressful and busy week. We went to Six Flags with my best friend, Jocelyn, and her family then went to a circus that her brother has been touring with. We also had some college stuff to deal with that got a bit overwhelming. It was bad. Luckily, after a gazillion calls with the financial aid office at my school and such, we figured things out and have enough time to get it all squared away.

I think the biggest good news I've had in awhile was...

I GOT A MACBOOK PRO!!

I finally got a laptop, yes. I am so happy to have one again. I basically didn't have one my whole senior year and it stunk. We had quite the decision process with this one since I've had the worst luck with my past two. I decided to go Apple because I've always wanted one and after having so many issues involving Windows with the others, I think it was best to go to a different operating system.

With all said and done, I'm going to be doing a lot of transferring from the desktop to my Macbook so I might not be getting to posting an update for awhile. This probably won't affect anything with updates if I know me, but just in case, there you go.

Now, I can't get to this update without taking a minute to talk about the great tragedy that has come upon the world a few days ago. I'm sure you're all know what I'm talking about, if you don't, Robin Williams, the Oscar winning actor and legendary comedian, passed away. I am still not over this one. One of my favorite actors ever and a very rare class act, I don't know how I'll be able to watch movies again without his presence, but I'm so grateful for the many incredible films he did make in his too short lifetime. He will be missed, that's for sure. And I really hope for those dealing with what Robin dealt with, know that the point he was driven to by who knows what can be unattainable. Help is out there, you just have to open up and find it.

So I don't end this on a depressing note, in honor of Robin, I'd love to hear what your favorite films of his are. Mine is Dead Poets Society FOREVER and EVER. I still haven't been able to watch it since it already gets me super emotional, but it's an incredible film and if you haven't seen it watch it. Oh yeah and Robin KILLS it in the film, probably my favorite role of his (well... aside from Dr. Sean Maguire in Good Will Hunting). I also think he was absolutely perfect as the Genie, but that's a given. Anyways, tell me all about your favorite Robin movies and why.

YES, we can get to the update, CHILLLLL. (I mean, don't you want me to not finish up day one? (; )

A Very Happy Haunt Gets His Kiss Goodnight
June 23rd, 2014

Needless to say, there was some pin trading along the way to what was just that rose on the tombstone for our evening...

:hmghost: THE HAUNTED MANSION!!!!!!!! :hmghost:

I was so excited to be reunited with my beloved Gracey Manor and my fellow 999 Happy Haunts. The Haunted Mansion was actually an attraction I fell in love with during my absence from the parks. I loved riding it in the parks and it was definitely a fave, but it wasn't until I started learning more and more about it that I found myself fascinated by everything about it from the history to the legends to the stories, everything about it amazes me. To think that this attraction is not actually an opening day attraction at Disneyland (yes, I know, we're at Disney World, but I'm making a valid point), but is considered as such makes it so interesting. Then, the attraction itself still stuns me and I was so happy to make a return.

I was moving at a rapid pace through the queue, stopping only to take in the perfectly ghoulish details, nerd out over all the history and such, when I came upon this...

OMG THE CEMETERY!!!

*HYPERVENTILATING*

*FAINTING*

*HYPERVENTILATING*

*FAINTING*

*SPAZZING*

*DEAD*

*OFFICIAL HAPPY HAUNT*

*MORE SPAZZING*

*AFTERLIFE GOES ON*

I almost totally forgot about this new addition to the queue. Last time when I was in WDW, they were actually building this so a lot of the HM queue was blocked off. They also were working on implementing the new Hitchhiking Ghosts effect, which resulted in replacement projections for poor old Phineas, Ezra and Gus. It was not exactly the way I'd like to remember a fave, but that's what happened. Now, it had been a LONG time since those refurbs had been finished and I was finally going to experience them, which made me even more excited.

When we finally got to the cemetery, a photo was necessary:

And another:

The cemetery is just so beyond cool in person. The atmosphere of that added little interactive queue makes it feel as if it belonged there this whole time. I tried to play around with some of the special effects implemented, but not all of them were working and Nate wanted to get on the ride so I wasn't going to hold him up. I also was hoping to look for the ring, but then I remembered that I heard that it had gotten removed. Don't get me started on that, but I know Constance would not be pleased. I might just have to release her spirit to prey on those evil doing officials for keeping her ring so much farther away from her.

I'll leave it at that.

After checking out more of the Gracey cemetery and passing by a Cast Member's only area that I can only hope I will be able to enter into soon, we finally ran into the mob at the entrance to my delightfully unlivable abode inside my home away from home (please tell me that made sense). The doors were opened just as we got there, but I still managed to pay my respects to Dear Sweet Leota and Brother Claude on my way in.

I put away my camera now because HAUNTED MANSION!!!!!!

Oh, it was a glorious return! I was speaking along with the Ghost Host, I moved to the dead center of the room, I found most of the Sinister Eleven portraits scattered throughout the mansion, I analyzed Constance's pearls, sang with the singing busts and so on and so forth. Gus also was the hitchhiking ghost who hitched a ride with us that night, he was a lovely addition to our touring group. I have some great stories about him for later, he is quite the guy. (;

All in all, I had gotten the Haunted Mansion fix I needed. It is forever my favorite attraction in Disney. On the way out, I decided to make Nate wait up for me while I took in more of Gracey Manor's fatally gorgeous GAWGEOUSNESS. I even managed to find Mr. Toad, may his Wild Ride rest in peace, during this short moment of floating with pixie dust.

I was so happy now. Unbelievably happy and I was even MORE in disbelief that I was in Disney, had just rode the Haunted Mansion at... well I probably should've mentioned this earlier, but I rode the Haunted Mansion at MIDNIGHT (yup, we got to the ride basically right at midnight)! LIKE, WHAT EVEN?! It was just an unreal day. I didn't want it to end so we decided to head on over to Tomorrowland once more to see if Space Mountain had a more manageable wait time.

On our way, we passed by the Kingdom of Corona:

When we arrived in New Fantasyland, I offered to go on this gem. Maybe you've heard of it before...

Nate wasn't into it so we continued on back towards New Fantasyland:

We checked out the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but I don't think it was working. There were people huddled around it talking to a CM and it looked like they were about to let people in, but we didn't want to chance it and Space Mountain was still calling our name. We got back on that track and we were soon here:

I'm sorry about the blurriness, but essentially when we got there the line was down to 20 minutes and we were obviously not turning that down and hopped right in line.

The wait was pretty accurate and I think we ended up skipping the line because we had two people. YAY FOR PAIR PARTIES!! While in line, I think one of my pins fell off and poked me so I had to reconfigure that, but the back was nowhere to be found unfortunately. I then ended up carrying the thing in hand instead of on my back. On the ride, they were moving us pretty quickly so I made the courageous decision to hold my bag with my hands over the handlebars (which resulted in me getting pricked at one point during the ride). Little did I know that they literally shot us through the ride, I mean it didn't even stop in the pre-launch tunnel. We just zoomed right along. We ended up directly alongside the other space shuttle so it definitely became a race of sorts even though we don't know who won. Space was still fabulous and a lot faster than I remember it. Nate definitely was happy after this one so much so that he proclaimed that Space is still one of the best coasters out there. Now, THAT is what's up people!

After praising the cultural significance of Space, we checked out our ride photos (I was at the front of the second space shuttle while Nate was at the back of the first). It clearly was a study in contrasts with our expressions:

This is why we didn't plan any awesome on-ride photos together.

After laughing at our ride photos, we got held up on the moving exit ramp out of space because there was a group that just stopped and didn't think to walk. I wasn't complaining because it allowed me to get MORE PICTURES! YIPEE!

Aaaaaaannnnndddd that was when my camera died so the photos ended there for our day. I was so happy I at least got to get some nice captures of that lovely homage to Horizons before the good ole Nikon copped out. It makes me wish I had gone when it was still around. They should've just renewed it with more up-to-date technology after all the controversy with Mission: SPACE instead of making the Green Side for that attraction because, as far as I know, that attraction still doesn't attract a ton of park goers. But, of course, Disney isn't totally into bringing back awesome old attractions, just the cheesy ones *coughCaptainEOuncough*

ANYWAYS, when we got off Space, it was just about park closing so we headed on out. We had impeccable timing when we walked in front of the Castle because

THE GOODNIGHT KISS WAS HAPPENING!

I was freaking out because I'd heard so much about it and seen some quick clips on IG, but I was finally going to see it in person. Needless to say, I was flipping out. Nate didn't seem to be into it until he realized that everyone on Main Street was watching it (myself included). It is quite possibly the most magical way to end your night at MK. It's such a simple little thing, but oh so perfectly magical, kinda like Dumbo. The "When You Wish Upon A Star" theme they play really tugs on the heartstrings and I got super emotional every time I heard it this trip because it is on a loop at the entrance to MK so that happened... A LOT. I don't think I have to say that if you are at MK late enough, make sure to wait around a bit and watch the Goodnight Kiss because it is lovely.

The rest of our night was pretty uneventful. Nate and I were pooped, which is a relative term for me in Disney, but for Nate... yeah, he was pooped. He even passed out on the bus. Unfortunately, I had no device to use to take photos of his egregious mistake so you'll have to take my word for it. I did however wake him up a bit earlier than I should've, but luckily he was up for the rest of the ride to AoA. When we got to AoA, I picked up a times guide so we could see which park had EMH the next day (or I got one earlier in the day, but we had one somehow by the time we got to our room).

In our room, we found EPCOT had morning EMH so there was no way we were passing that up. We did still have an ADR for lunch at Hollywood Studios so we decided that it would be EPCOT then DHS then... who knows? Nate agreed and passed out almost immediately after the conversation (it was about 1:30am). I took a quick shower after so I could get up and go since I'm always the one to do that. I didn't exactly fall asleep to prepare myself for that. I was still trying to comprehend what was going on, which really prevented any form of rest.

I cannot even rationally explain to anyone how unbelievably amazing it was to be back in Disney World after such a long time. I'd been keeping up with all the happenings for awhile and before I booked this trip, I pretty much gave up hope that there would be any trip at all before my DCP (which I will get into in a bit) so really the fact I was sleeping under a clam shell felt like a dream. I mean, I had dreams like this, but it all ended very Aurora-esque and I would wake up and happiness just fluttered away. That was not the case tonight and I would for sure wake up in a clam shell the next day. Of course, I had to pinch myself (which I actually did, mind you) to make sure and fortunately, I felt it and all was real again. I honestly felt so blessed and so incredibly blessed at that moment to be where I was, which is something I hadn't felt in a long long time, but this was even to another level. I smiled the biggest smile ever at that moment and I couldn't wait for what the rest of the trip would bring.

And I can't wait to tell you all about it so let's set our alarms (always a precaution) in order to get back to our Disney dreams for the evening and we'll get along with my show real soon. Have a magical night!

:tinker:

So glad all the college stuff worked out, and YAY MACBOOK PRO! I have one too and it totally changed my life. I hate using PCs now haha.

I actually watched Dead Poets Society with my dad last night and it gave me ALL kinds of emotions. My favorite Robin Williams film is Aladdin. I think it's amazing how much he improv'd (like the whole opening sequence with the man selling in the marketplace? PRETTY MUCH ALL IMPROV. I LOVE IT). I also LOVE Good Will Hunting since I'm from Massachusetts and that scene when he's talking about his wife in the hospital...so emotional. I also watched a bit of Robots this afternoon and I had forgotten he was in it. That's a really funny one!

You HAVE to do Keys to the Kingdom someday, we got to go on Haunted Mansion and I learned SO much about it!! I love how detailed it is. Literally every time I go on I find something that I've never seen before. I'm so glad you had a great time and I LOVE Mr. Toad there!!!

YAY SPACE MOUNTAIN! I totally agree they should bring Horizons back. At my job I listen to Disney parks music all the time and I always end up listening to the Horizons soundtrack and wishing I could have seen it myself.

I WANT TO SEE THE KISS GOODNIGHT SOOOOO MUCH!!! That's a bucket list item for the DCP.

Yay Macbook Pro! I actually just got one let week for university too! OMG twiiiinsss! Hahaha.
So sad about Robin Williams. I watched Dead Poets Society the night I found out and cried. Such, such, such a good movie. And Aladdin will always be one of my favourites, it wouldn't have been as amazing without him.
Haunted Mansion is a classic. It's my brother's favourite, so I've been on it quite a bit, and I love finding all the hidden details.
The Tangled area is so pretty at night.
Yay for short waits for Space Mountain! So much fun.
The Kiss Goodnight is so good. Tbh I cried watching it the last night of my most recent trip.
Can't wait to read more!

hiiii just found your trip report and I'm starting to read along, but I just wanted to say before I get caught up - I think it is SO awesome how much you love Disney! It's just so obvious to see that you have such a passion for Disney and love everything about it. I've only read a few posts of this report so far and it's just so fun to read for that reason. It might be weird to say, but I think you would make a really good cast member one day - your enthusiasm for everything is really infectious and I'm super excited to read more :)

anywho, I'm really looking forward to seeing everything you guys get up to! looks like you have so much fun stuff planned. yay Disney nerds!! :goodvibes

PS one last note - I did see that you got a macbook in the most recent update (I always read ahead and spoil myself, oops) and OMG welcome to the exclusive club of cool people with macbooks. it's my most prized possession...don't know if that's sad or just super nerdy haha :rolleyes2

I just found your trip report tonight, and read it in about 1 1/2 hours.
I was cracking up the whole time!!
It is amazing so far, and I'm wishing I found it earlier!!!

I love it so much! I'm still trying to figure things out, but you're so right, it's SOOO much better than a PC and I've only had it a few days.

Yeah, his voice work in Aladdin has yet to be duplicated. Legen-wait for it-dary! I love Good Will Hunting too. I've been meaning to visit the bench where he delivered the most incredible monologue ever because apparently people left a lot of mementos there. I live close to MA/Boston so hopefully I can remember to bring it up before I leave for school. :)

KTTK is on my DCP bucket list! I considered it for this trip, but I think saving money while I'm in Disney will be better for that. Even though I already go crazy over the details at HM and MR. TOAD!!!

YAY SPACE MOUNTAIN! I totally agree they should bring Horizons back. At my job I listen to Disney parks music all the time and I always end up listening to the Horizons soundtrack and wishing I could have seen it myself.

SERIOUSLY. I've heard so many great things about it and it sounds like an even cooler version of the "Select Your Future" part of Spaceship Earth. Yeah, it NEEDS to happen. #BringBackHorizons

I WANT TO SEE THE KISS GOODNIGHT SOOOOO MUCH!!! That's a bucket list item for the DCP.

Oh you most definitely need to! And if we both get in, being the last people in all four parks is on my bucket list so we're almost guaranteed to see the Kiss Goodnight. :thumbsup2

Yay Macbook Pro! I actually just got one let week for university too! OMG twiiiinsss! Hahaha.

Haha, twinning!

Same. I literally have forced myself not to watch DPS even though I really want to watch it before I leave because I know I'll be hysterical.

HM is the best! Your brother has great taste. And the details are so incredible. I'm just obsessed and that's a big part of why it's my favorite.

Kiss Goodnight :lovestruc I got choked up when I first saw it. Ugghh, I want to see it again, it's perfect.

YAY, happy to have you here! :welcome: And this seriously made my day. You're so sweet to say all those things, thank you so much. I'm really hoping I'll be doing the DCP next Fall so hearing that I fit the CM bill makes me feel more confident about that long application process. :goodvibes

P.S. Macs are the best. The end. And it's not nerdy or sad to think so.

I just found your trip report tonight, and read it in about 1 1/2 hours.
I was cracking up the whole time!!
It is amazing so far, and I'm wishing I found it earlier!!!

Awesome, :welcome: Thank you for joining in! I'm glad you're enjoying it! I think 1 and a half is a new record. I'll be updating as soon as I can! :thumbsup2

Ahhh, the death of Robin Williams is just so sad. Of course we all loved him in Aladdin, and my other faves were Good Will Hunting, Mrs Doubtfire and Mork & Mindy. I was just a toddler when Mork & Mindy originally aired but I watched them throughout my childhood (totally showing my age here!).

Yay for your Macbook Pro! I bet you are loving it!

Lately when I go to Disney it's with small children, so I haven't had the chance to do Haunted Mansion lately. I know, I know, I am totally missing out. But I think for small children it might be too scary. But I am totally ready for an adults trip, and getting to do Haunted Mansion, Soarin, Space Mountain, etc. Lately it's just been Dumbo, Small World, etc. Haha. :)

I've never seen the Goodnight Kiss so that's on my list of must-do's, too!

Haha too bad you couldn't have taken the must take picture of Nate falling asleep on the bus. :)

It really is. It's almost a week and I'm still not over it. I've never seen Mork & Mindy and I heard he's awesome in that so I definitely need to watch it.

YES, very much so. :teeth:

I actually think maybe you should push those anonymous small children you speak of because it really isn't that bad. Nothing really pops out at you, it's very atmospheric and at times very whimsical. Either way, I hope you get to ride it again soon! :hmghost:

I've never seen the Goodnight Kiss so that's on my list of must-do's, too!

Definitely. It is simply brilliant!

Haha too bad you couldn't have taken the must take picture of Nate falling asleep on the bus. :)

Yeah, but I got a few more later so it wasn't a total lost. You'll see. ;)

I'm really hoping I'll be doing the DCP next Fall so hearing that I fit the CM bill makes me feel more confident about that long application process. :goodvibes

I hope this works out for you. It will be a great growing experience, and having the Disney name on your resume will be a very good thing. :thumbsup2

Thanks MeMom! I have awhile until I do apply, but I'm already crossing my fingers. DCP will be a dream come true if I go next fall. :mickeyjum

Hello readers!

I have some very exciting news. First, only 10 days until I move into my dorm! WOOT! WOOT! I'm so pumped for college now. I just need to actually get all this stuff I'm supposed to get done actually done.

I also have REALLY exciting news! I've been meaning to do this for awhile and I finally made...

A DISNEY VLOG!

I know I have posted some videos of me talking about whatever before, but I've decided to make the whole thing more official so I opened up a new channel. So far I have three vlogs up along with a trailer for my channel that I'm hoping to attach to everyone of my vlogs now on. Please check it out and leave some feedback (or subscribe if you're so inclined). Here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC33oGaLSQAp_GJktDi_sDCA

Okay, now let's get to this update. It's finally day two Y'ALL!

NO SLEEPING IN DISNEY! Wait, what?
June 24th, 2014

Sooooo I'm not exactly proud of what happened this morning. Don't worry, it had NO effect whatsoever on the amazing day we had, but it didn't start out as great as I would've liked. Remember we were going to try and make EPCOT morning EMH and the fact I don't sleep in Disney. Well, neither of those happened. I did fall asleep, my alarm didn't go off (at least I thought it didn't) and we never made it to EPCOT EMH. Nope. What happened was Nate waking me up to tell me that it was almost time for EMH... to end. Wah! But that wasn't going to get me down and we still had a full day ahead of us.

I got on the outfit I had planned for that day, packed up my bag, checked on our FP+ and dining reservations, waited for Nate, etc. etc. and we were out the door, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed!

Please ignore the frizz. My hair just never wants to cooperate... EVER.

Nate mentioned trying out a different way of getting to the buses by walking the perimeter. This turned out to be a bit longer, but it gave me the opportunity to get pictures of things from different angles and to see more of the resort.

I don't have many notes about motor coaches, but I know we rarely had issues with them. We might've gotten one of those larger charter buses, but I can't remember. We eventually ended up at Disney's Hollywood Studios, a little after opening, but better late than never.

On the bus, I had been talking on IG with another follower of mine's who was at DHS today. We were discussing possibly meeting up although she was headed straight for ToT while we were kinda geared toward the opposite direction, but we'd figure something out! I mean, we still had to get in the park, which was a bit harder than anticipated.

Sooooo I have this weird thing sometimes where I tend to let people who are with me go ahead of me. I don't know why I just do and it's so involuntary. At the DHS turnstiles, Nate went up first, everything was fine until he got to the fingerprint part. It didn't recognize his fingerprint. Luckily, right as this happened, another MB scanner opened up and I got in no problemo. Like the good friend I am, I waited right by the turnstiles and took a moment to snap this lovely photo:

Soon enough, Nate had got it all fixated and was in. We laughed the whole thing off and made our way into "The Hollywood that never was and always will be."

First, I said 'Hi' to my good friend, Bo. Long time no see, bud!

Then, down Hollywood Boulevard we went!

They were playing some awesome tune-age on Hollywood. I think I recall hearing Cole Porter's Anything Goes on this street, which made me super giddy since I currently was in rehearsals for that musical this trip. I also had done it once before and was the only show to date that I've had the pleasure of doing twice. Such a fun show! I highly recommend it to anyone considering seeing it.

Anyways, soon we were right in front of the infamous Sorcerer hat:

No Frozen yet. We never made it for all of that unfortunately.

Despite my preconceived notions about the hat and DHS being my least favorite park after past trips, I still missed it immensely. It was just another layer of icing on the cake. I still have had many many wonderful memories at this park in the past and they all flooded back to me as I took in all the familiar sights. From finally building up the courage to ride ToT... TWICE to my mom getting called out for being on her phone during the American Idol Experience... I could go on and on. And the thing was... I still hadn't done EVERYTHING at DHS. Nope. There was so much to be done and I had my heart set on riding an attraction that I'd never done before at that moment. I still wanted to take a moment and take in all these wonderful sights that have evaded me for years so while we make our way to this unbeknownst-to-you attraction, let Timmy take his trip down memory lane...

No memory connected. I just like the picture.

I'm going to miss AIE so much when it's gone! :''''(

I have a fabulous photo with my sisters in front of the Hat at this exact angle. *nostalgic sigh*

Sooooo... what attraction did I HAVE TO ride this trip that I'd never done before?

STAR TOURS,no doubt!

I had probably walked by this attraction so many times and never rode it. I don't know the reason why exactly. I think we might've just bypassed it on my previous trip, but my first trip... I really don't know. But I was not going to let that stop me, it was time to ride!

How's it going, C3PO?

Got my 3D glasses on, my deuces are up... I think I'm ready to go!

OMG, WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME HOW AWESOME THIS RIDE WAS SOONER?! I did NOT expect this to be as cool as it was. It literally made me hate myself for having not watched any of the Star Wars films. Unfortunately, I was not the rebel spy (I didn't even see where the picture was on the screen. Derp.), but I had so much fun otherwise. I thought it would've just been like most simulators just with 3D, but it was SOOO much more and honestly puts most simulators I've been on to shame. Definitely a new fave and I STILL have to watch some Star Wars movies now. Oh yeah, that needs to happen.

After getting out of Star Tours, Nate was getting hungry so we decided to go get a quick breakfast. I had a specific item on the mind so we headed towards Writer's Stop to get that specific item. Luckily, this was pretty close to the exit so we didn't have to walk far. It was really quiet in the Writer's Stop, which was very nice. Of course, some people came in behind us. We're such trendsetters. Not really, but I try. Before ordering, since we both planned on using some snack credits today, we asked about the QS since I forgot what the logistics of that were then we ended up ordering.

Here is the specific item I chose:

THE CARROT CAKE COOKIE!

I had been hearing many great things for awhile on the DIS so it was about time I tried it. I don't remember what Nate got, but I don't think he was all too crazy about it.

In terms of my Carrot Cake Cookie, I wasn't all raves either. It honestly wasn't anything spectacular for me. It was all very sweet and not much else. I enjoyed it to some extent, but between the sweetness and the richness (carrot cake is RICH), it wasn't my cup of tea. Probably wouldn't be getting it again, but I don't want to hinder you from trying it, it just wasn't what I like to eat.

Of course, Pluto thought differently and jumped at his chance to devour what I wouldn't be eating (note: I did eat more than what was in this picture). Either that or Pluto just wanted to be in the spotlight. Of course, it wasn't enough and he never showed up again on our adventures, but I think this was a great way to commemorate his uh... last stand:

Nate also decided to get in on this. Good thing, that Nate was only used for food.

After Pluto ran back into his little hiding place (aka my bag) for good, we finished what we could of our meals and headed back out. We had an FP burning our... Magic Bands? Yeah, Magic Bands. And it was about time we got on that.
