Has anyone ever celebrated their wedding anniversary at Disney? Do they do anything out of the ordinary? DH has surprised me with a trip to WDW for our 25th and I'm just curious. Any and all replies appreciated!

We go every May for our anniversary - depending on where you stay and where you eat - they may or may not do something special. Sometimes they will ask when you make a ps if its a special occasion, but not always. We have mentioned it when making PS and been given champagne on one occasion and desert on this past trip. It just depends on who is working that night and how it is approached I think.

Keep in mind that nothing is ever guaranteed, but if you mention it casually odds are you may get some pixie dust, but the key is not to expect it or be disappointed if nothing happens. Hundreds of people a day probably say its their birthday/anniversary - its hit or miss, but never hurts to drop a hint.

Our server at R&C this May told us a funny story about how the parents told them it was their daughters birthday and she really wanted to sit outside blah, blah, blah - when the cm's went over to take her a desert and sing happy birthday the little girl sat straight up and said, "but my birthday is in December" - this happened about 3 weeks ago!

We went for our 11 th in Dec. We ate at V&A, they greeted us with "happy anniversary" and it was written on our menus. We also got a card made out of chocolate. When we returned to our resort(Poly-concierge) there was champagne, truffles, a card, and a white chocolate Mickey& Minnie bride and groom. I still have the champagne and Mickey& Minnie.

We went for our 10th in Jan. 2001. Upon making ressies, CM asked if we were celebrating anything special, I told her it was our 10th Anniversary/1st Honeymoon and never gave it another thought.

The first night we were wiped out after traveling all day and almost skipped our PS's at Tony's. I'm so glad we didn't. When we arrived at our table, it was covered in Mickey confetti and streamers. We didn't understand at first and then we both looked at us and said "It's the magic!" I truly forgot that I had mentioned it to anyone and I was so happy (and exhausted) that I couldn't stop crying. Our waiter was so excited at my obvious joy that he brought me a whole bag of Mickey confetti and Lady&Tramp stickers. Even though we were totally stuffed, they gave us free dessert also.

Yachtsmen Steakhouse gave us a free tray of mini desserts - YUM!

GF - gave us a pink rose and champagne. For our last night we brought that and the chocolate cake we purchased from MK bakery to the grass behind our building and watched the fireworks and EWP. It was the most romantic thing we have ever done.

The whole trip was filled with one magical thing after another. Thanks for bringing back such fond memories.

We celebrated our 15th in October. I mentioned it in a faxed room request and we were upgraded to a waterview room. When we returned to our room the first evening we found balloons a cake & a card from the BC.

We ate at Cindys for breakfast in January for our 25th anniversary. They gave us champagne flutes and all the characters signed a declaration for us to keep.

We had dinner at Chefs de France...hubby had mentioned our anniversary when making the ps...we didn't give it another thought...as we had been at the resort for a few days...no magic happening.

So, our dinner was the last night we were there...we had chosen a couple of desserts...the waiter kept asking if we liked this other dessert...we said yes...he never gave us a chance to order dessert, but instead...all the waiters sang to us in French, brought us a wonderful dessert with a special sugar decoration/creation on top...it was so nice.

Needless to say, we gave that waiter a huge tip for making our evening special!

We have celebrated our 25th and 30th with Mickey at Disney World. Our anniversary just happens to be the same
as Disney World's so they always throw us a great celebration!! Well they claim it's for them but we can pretend its for us too.

We go the 1st week of October, so we hit the 1st day of the anniversary celebrations.
My birthday is 2 days before our anniversary so I get to celebrate that too.

We always get cards and free desserts, for my birthday and our anniversary. We really enjoyed celebrating at Crystal Palace, we had the cute confetti and decorations at our table with a card signed by Pooh and the gang. The resort gave us a card with a photo of Mickey and Minnie and signed by them too.

The next one will be our and Disney World's 35th......of course we will go back before then!!

We always celebrate our Anniversary and my son's birthday at DisneyWorld. In all the years we have been there we have never received anything special, even for our 25th Anniversary. This was the only time I was very disappointed because I thought 25 years was a big deal and nobody even said anything to us. WELL, last year for our 27th Anniversay we spent three nights at Vero Beach (Disney's resort) before heading to WDW. My husband just casually mentioned it at the time of reservations. When we got to our room there was a huge basket of all kinds of goodies, and a beautiful card congratulating us on our Anniversary. I actually cried, it made me so happy!! I really really think it is a matter of "hit or miss". Don't expect it and if it happens it's a wonderful surprise. JMHO.

We celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary in April.

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Concierge.

We had let reservations know that it was our anniversary as well as mentioning it when making priority seating reservations.

One day we came back to our room and there was a cake with Happy Anniversary.

Next day there was a gift bag with his and her cologne one shaped like a tiger and one was a lioness which came in a heart shaped box and also a hand carved african mask. The card said Happy Anniversary from the Concierge Staff.

One night at the store at the AKL they asked me for my room card. When they ran it the cast member excused hereself and came back with an anniversary card signed by the cast members in the store. The room card must have triggered something and she got the card that was waiting for us.

At Victoria and Albert's they gave us a card made of chocolate.

At Le Cellier we received a complimentary dessert to share.

They put the Disney touch on our special occaision.

If you want the extras, be sure to mention the occaision.

Happy Anniversary!
