Does anyone know of any radio stations are covering the trial? I'd like to listen in the car...I have XM, but I flipped through the news stations but couldn't find anything. :confused3

Don't worry, I'll be back. While I'm not usually the type to debate things, I doubt I'll be able to stand back from this. It is intriguing. I find all trials very interesting and am one who actually enjoyed jury service.

Right now, I have to take my daughter to lunch. She will be leaving for England in a couple of months and be gone for a year. I'm trying to spend as much time with her as possible. In fact, I may have to tear myself away from the trial for a few days to hit the theme parks with Kendall! :goodvibes

What a great trip for your daughter! Im jealous! :) Hope to see you back!

How exciting? Is she studying abroad???
I welcome other sides......

I do have a question for all...

I know everyone is saying June 16 is the day she died so why no odor in the car?
Is it possible she was over drugged, unconscious in the car trunk for days before she passed?
So the night she was driving around friends and on the stand they claimed no odor from the back seat maybe Caylee was still alive?

Ims starting to believe that she wasn't put in the trunk right away. Maybe she hid the body somewhere and the day she went back , the same day she borrowed the shovel, is the day she put Caylee in the trunk.

Oh heck, I don't know but Caylee was obviously in the trunk sometime. Too many people noticed the odor, its the reason Casey left the car at Amscot.

The thing to remember is that Caylee is not on trail. Casey is on trial and she deserves to have all testimony heard and all evidence presented before the jury decides her fate. I only hope the jury can do that.

I have watched this case from day one. I have read tons of discovery. I have been watching the trail each day. I have yet to decide my feelings as to her guilt or innocence. Of course, I am leaning one way, but I will not make up my mind until I have heard all the evidence from both sides.

The thing that amazes me about this case is the number of people who had her convicted from the day this thing went public. I totally understand that a beautiful child died. It happens all to often. I understand that none of us can relate to the way in which Casey acted after Caylee's death. It makes no sense to a normal logical mind.

The thing I don't understand is why she is hated so much more than all these other people who have committed even more heinous crimes on their own children. Since this case started, there have been several where kids have been murdered by their parents in horrible ways. They barely got a blip on the radar. I'm sorry, but setting your own child on fire seems a lot more horrible to me. The only thing I can assume is the pictures and videos of Caylee that were broadcast non-stop on local news and on network programs such as Good Morning America and Nancy Grace. Caylee was an adorable little and watching the films is heart wrenching. But, people have Casey Anthony right up there on par with Charles Manson. Throughout my life, I've seen serial killers of children get a lot more compassion than has been evident in this case.

I realize that posting on this thread without wanting to immediately string Casey up is not popular. Sorry. I prefer to wait to form my opinion and I will keep that opinion to myself. I really think people should respect the opinions of others (not referring to myself) who might post something in disagreement to the general consensus here.

oh geez, people can disagree all they want. it is interesting though some that have been posting (not necessarily on here) have no clue the real details that have been out there....and I gathered all your later posts are directed towards me.....

I want to know where she got the money to buy things.

I know others have answered this, but I just wanted to add a little more info. The receipts were especially interesting to those searching when Caylee was missing because Casey never bought anything for a child on those trips (now of course, we know Caylee was already deceased :guilty:)

7/08/08 Check #142 to Target in Orlando for $111.01
7/10/08 Check #143 to Target in Winter Garden FL for $137.77
7/10/08 Check #144 to Target in Orlando for $155.47
7/12/08 Check #145 to WinnDixie for $92.62
7/15/08 Check #146 to Casey Anthony for $250

Casey has already been to trial and pled guilty to check fraud for these checks:

Amy H also said that she lost even more money to Casey, who told her that she (Amy) must have put it somewhere else while Amy was sleepwalking(!):
EE: When did that money get stolen? That cash?
AH: That money got stolen the 2nd. Uhm, Casey had told me a story that I had...
EE: Four hundred and eighty dollars?
AH: Four hundred dollars. The eighty was the towing that I had lent to her. It was four hundred even. Uhm, and she...
EE: Sleep walking?
AH: Yeah (affirmative), she told me that I had put, was putting the money aside. That I was talking to her. She had no idea I was asleep until the morning when I said I didn't remember it. Uhm, and really the only reason I bought it is the week before I had changed pants in my sleep from this pair of pants, which are really comfy, to a different pair of pants. I don't remember doing it. I don't know why I did it but I woke up in a different pair of pants, which is why I kind of bought this story. I didn't remember ever telling her that story but I must have which is why she used that to tell me the story about me putting this money away in my sleep.
Looked up high and low, up and down, everywhere, through the entire house. Haven't been able to find the money. Uhm, nothing I can prove, and nothing I want to try and prosecute at all. That money is just gone.

It seems thievery is a common problem with Casey. Per Cindy's mother Shirley Plesea's interview:

“…the first time Casey stole money was on Caylee’s second birthday. That would be a year ago (March of 2007). I was up there and stayed all night, and my bag and stuff was in the bedroom. Well Casey went to the store and she picked up her cake and a lot of fancy stuff, because they had this great, big fancy Mexican style birthday party. You know, a theme. And I’m, I didn’t miss that until I started checking out my checks and one check was gone. Well the check before that that I wrote was to the utilities company in Mt. Dora. So I went downtown Mt. Dora to see if they had an accidental check stuck to it…They didn’t. So I went to the police station. And the officer found a license on the back of my check. You know, because I had the cancelled check”, [and the license belonged to Casey.] She was mad but forgave her. Cindy knew about it.

“Then this Spring, there was three hundred and fifty-four dollars missing out of my bank account. It was written on AT&T (She meant Bank of America). And it was written on my husband’s account that I had to close out after Casey used my check. The bank advised me to close that acct and start a new one…”

The bank reimbursed her the money. She told the bank they could file charges against Casey if the wanted to, but no action was ever taken against her. Casey tried to apologize and told her grandmother she would come up to Mt Dora and clean for her, but Grandma told her she didn’t want her there. She hadn’t talked to her since.

She also mentioned Casey had run up credit card debt of $45K (so she had to have opened credit card accounts under Cindy’s name).

Supposedly there was a huge fight between Cindy and Casey the night of the nursing home visit (right before Caylee went missing) that was triggered by Cindy finding out about Casey stealing grandmas money. It will be interesting to see if this comes in to the trial....

Eyewitness News has learned that an intense fight right before Casey left with Caylee in mid-June was over money that Casey had stolen from her own grandparents, from an account dedicated to paying for assisted living expenses for her grandfather. Tensions had been building over the theft.
Eyewitness News also learned Cindy Anthony had gone to a counselor who told her to kick Casey out. Cindy was worried Casey would take Caylee with her, so the counselor told her to try to get legal custody of Caylee.
Before that could happen, Casey and Caylee left and Cindy believed Casey kept Caylee out of touch just to punish her. Relatives said Caylee was more attached to her grandmother than she was to her own mother.

When I think about motive I often wonder that IF Cindy was threatening filing charges against Casey and getting custody of Caylee, Casey might have been pushed over the edge.

I also remember the Bella Vita tattoo Casey got and Casey's June 21 diary entry:

One of the most disturbing things that was released Wednesday was a page from Casey's diary dated June 21, where she wrote, "This is the happiest I have been in a very long time. I hope that my happiness will continue to grow."Casey also wrote that she had "no regrets, just a bit worried. I just want for everything to work out okay. I completely trust my own judgment and knew that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means. I just want to know what the future will hold for me. I guess I will soon see."

I agree with this, that may be why the cadavar dogs hit the area in the backyard, but she moved Caylee some where else, but the smell was still there. I really believe this gentleman from the tow yard. He has nothing to gaing from this. And when he smelled it, how could he have ever known this car would be used as evidence later on. And by the way I enjoy the discussions on this case no matter what someones opion may be. I am not judging Casey I am judging the actions that are involved. If she would have come forward we may not be here today. The way I see the state asking questions of did she tell you she was kidnapped and any thing to that nature, they are just letting people know if your child is kidnapped wouldnt you be asking for anyones help? I would be weather I knew them or not. Its all good here.:thumbsup2

Geesh, the Judge just got back in the courtroom and sidebar already!

I don't know what I really would want to do to Casey. I really just want to shake that silly grin off her face and ask her what in the world was she thinking???

She's a very pretty girl who had her whole life in front of her as did Caylee...dysfunctional family or not, Casey could have given Caylee to the grandparents and kept on partying....she could have grown up and taken responsibilty to be a parent. She could have chosen so many things...what led her to kill Caylee? Just to go out and have a good time?

I can't imagine - or I don't want to imagine that that was the case...in my mind, I like to think she did kill her, accidentally and then worked on the cover up....but the searches and other information that we know don't add up to that. Will we ever know the exact truth? As the one judge said - the truth and Ms. Anthony are strangers....

I do believe George, Cindy, Lee and Mallory all know the entire story. We know that George and Cindy lied to the gj......my take from george's testimony is that he is done, done and he isn't going to help Casey in any way.

Just a note here the lady from amscot said she did not smell anything, the man at the towyard said he pressed his face against the glass to see inside and then he smelled somthing.

I think the whole kidnapping BS has been put to rest since Baez stated that Caylee drowned in the pool. So I don't really see the point of asking these questions over & over again to all the people who testify, the defense having already admitted that Caylee was never truly missing. Whether or not we believe Caylee died accidentally or not I think we can all agree on the fact that Casey knew there was no point in searching for her in July 2008.

I think one of the things that drives the public nuts in this case, is that you can not trust a word ANYONE in that family says. Even Cindy, who did report Caylee missing (if she hadn't, it's possible that nobody would have ever known she died)... how can she state with a straight face that she said her daughter's car smelled like death "to get the police to come". Are you frickin kidding me here???

Usually in cases like this, you have at least one or two family members willing to speak up and help bring justice to the victim. Not with the Anthony's. They stick together and lie to people's faces and I think that's why there is so much hatred towards them.

All of that makes me think that Casey is not lying about being abused. This family obviously has a bigger secret they do not want out, something they consider bigger than a dead little girl???

your quoted post says lillygator posted...but that was not me, it was usnuzu..just wanted to clarify.

I probably heard the 911 call more than most. It has been played non-stop in the Orlando area since this case began.

I have no compassion for serial killers. Compassion may not have been the best word. I just have never seen the venom toward other cases that I see in this one. I had to watch videos over and over on the local news of people going to the Anthony's home and verbally attacking the family. Does that happen in most cases? No.

Casey is a liar. The girl has some terrible issues. I totally agree on that point. I just want to give her the benefit of the doubt until all of the facts are out.

The point of my post was not to debate her guilt or innocence. We all have the right to make up our own minds. I just think people should have a right to post a differing opinion on this thread without being treated like their opinion is ludicrous. It is their opinion.

Now, I'll step away for awhile. I realize that this is a very emotional issue and I don't want to create animosity with folks here as I value the relationship I have with people on the DIS.

I do my best to respect the opinion of others.

However, just like if I present an opinion, but a fact can rebut that opinion, I appreciate when others post.

IF someone posts an opinion and I have a fact to rebut it, then I will post it.

We can all be entitled to our own opinions. But we aren't entitled to our own set of facts. People, myself included, should not get upset if there is a fact that may serve to "correct" someone's impression.

Unless Baez concedes that this is the case and acknowledges that all witnesses who could answer that question would agree ON THE RECORD and IN FRONT OF THE JURY, I am not willing to agree that they shouldn't be able to answer the question any further.

I'm not familiar with how that objection would work or if the acknowledgement is even permitted.

oh my god - the bag this guy is talking about - that he just "tossed" over the fence.

is that the one that held that poor little girl??????

i think i'm gonna be sick

This case is different from other cases, in that there is so much partying going on with Casey. She had the looks, the personality and the clothes (I geuss) and people can be easily envious of that type of lifestyle. If that is not the lifestyle they have, but deep down inside may want.

not at all.
they're talking about a garbage bag that was found in Casey's car in July 2008.
