Caribbean Beach FAQ part VI

We will be there the week of Halloween. Anyone know what is done by the the hotel? I looked at the Unofficial site, but no activites are listed like POR has.

Same for a list of daily activities at the hotel?

Where do the campfires and movie under the stars take place?

Anyone know if there are specific buildings to request a connecting room?

I'm going to request Martinque. I know 24, 25, and 26 are preferred and was going to request 23 to be close the bus stop. I will have a double stroller with a 4 yo and 14 mos old.

I have 2 months and 3 weeks left!!:yay:

We were there for Halloween 2 years ago and there was nothing Halloween specific. Just the normal pool activities.

Some of the other FAQ thread owners have an insider at that resort that gives them a copy of the daily activities when they are released. We don't have that here on the CBR thread. You'll have to wait until you arrive.

The movies are in the courtyard in front of Old Port Royale and next to the main pool. The campfire is on the beach right behind the main pool.

Every building in every village has some connecting rooms. They are sprinkled throughout the resort.

I requested Martinque 23 also. On the map it looks closer than 22 but people on here say 22 is closer. Why?

To me, 22 looks closer on the map to OPR. From walking to OPR from both 22 and 23, I can say that 22 as a whole is definitely closer.:thumbsup2 The farthest rooms in 22 are the same distance as the closest rooms of 23.

I didn't notice that on the website until now. So what would you request if you don't want to face a parking lot? A court yard view? Or are the parking lots fairly well screened?

You can see pictures that I took of the "parking lot" views on the CBR picture thread. As others have said, there's a lot of foliage so the view is not bad at all.

I'm bummed no Halloween activites. :sad2: I thought each hotel did something.
I heard DTD doesn't do anything anymore, is that just a rumor?:confused3

Anyone hear anything remotely official about the chance of queen beds being added ? We would LOVE to stay at CBR ( over some deluxe's ) but double beds are not going to do it for us .
Thanks .....

For those of you who were wondering what parking lot views looked like, click on the link that Dansdad provided above and start on page 65 and on to the end I have quite a few pictures posted of the views, the drink offers, the beaches, main pool, store, etc.

I did talk to someone at the CBR several weeks back and was told that a refurb will begin in 2014 but they didn't have an exact schedule yet. I was told to call back the first week of August to talk about the details of our May, 2014 trip. I just haven't done it yet but when I do, I'll ask if there is any other info and whether or not they will be getting queen beds.

We have always stayed preferred in Martinque (25-26). This trip I just can't swing it (lucky to even do CBR). I requested Martinque 22 or jamaica 45- am I going to regret it? Has anyone stayed in Martinque standard before?

After four stays, our favorite location is Jamaica 45. We love the short stroll over the bridge to OPR and the main pool. We will never pay the extra $$ for preferred again. I can't see how you would regret it.

I'll be sure to post whatever info I receive.

Yes, we have. We have stayed in Martinique standard rooms a few times. This past trip, we were in Martinique 22 and our walk to OPR was about 5 minutes at the most.

We also stayed in Martinique 22. It was a great location. The bus stop was just behind our building and we just had a five minute walk to the main building and pool. Plus, there's a quiet pool right there.

Ditto! We were also able to take a quick walk over to Barbados and swim in the quiet pool there. So, really, there's easy access to two quiet pools.

Anyone know how many people are allowed in a king room at CBR? Thinking about booking a BB offer for food and wine fest. Discount is R/O 35% off.
If its 3 in a room we can make it work.
Anyone know about rollaway beds on king rooms ( or double rooms too) ?
Thanks
