They are putting in a Star Wars section at HS. Bad news is they taking out Backlot Tour and Indy Jones.:(

I will be just after you 1/1. You now have lots of time for research. Have fun!

I hadn't heard this yet! Where did you see, so I can read more. Will these still be open in October?

Please note that this is just a rumor still, no official word on any of that (Osborne Lights ending, Star Wars expansion and Backlot/Indy going away). There have been permits filed already for Osborne to go up this year, so even if it is true that this is their last year, I don't see any issues with your trip in October as far as Backlot and Indy being open still.

Check the Rumors board for more speculation on a thread about all of this.

Our days overlap a little. We are there october 5-13. Mnsshp 10/10.

Well if you see this really good looking guy with a FDNY shirt on, that's me stop and say hello!!!!!

Just switched to CBR from Pop. Will be our first time, with 3 families...any room advice? I am assuming standard room waiting on confirmation. ...

I just switched to CBR from POR to take advantage of the FD too. We stayed here last time and my boys loved the theme. The only reason I booked at POR was for the queen sized beds, but for free dining everyone can just be a little bit cozier.:cheer2:

Thank you! My son loves Indy show, so we'll be sure to watch in case it may be last time. I've never checked out the Rumors board. That sounds fun and could probably suck any productiveness out of my Saturday!

There is nooooo way I'm sharing a double with my husband... I will end up locking him out of the minivan and driving home without him.:lmao:

Is there enough floor space to do an air matress for DS6?

OMG ...... We have been going to WDW for Years, and have never checked out CBR until today. We usually stay deluxe and are wrapping up a split say of 12 days. GF and BC. We have been so turned off of the BC because of the horrendous bus situation that we ran over to CBR to check it out.
Impressed is not a good enough word to describe how we felt about CBR. We absolutely fell in love with it ! We ate in the awesome food court area, checked out the pools, and the awesome grounds. Caribbean Cay was really nice. Jamaica looks to appeal to us very much. LOVE this resort and we so want to stay there on our next trip .......... BUT the double beds are not going to work. NO WAY are we going from a king at home to doubles on vacation ! Queens we can deal with, but doubles would be a deal breaker. I heard rumors of a refurb soon and possibly queen beds being added to the resort. Any truth to that rumor ???? If queens are in the works we are DEFINITELY STAYING at CBR on our next trip. We LOVE it. Can't believe it took us so long to figure out what we have been missing!

We will have our car with us, where will we be better off driving ourself vs. the bus? I want to be in the parks by rope drop everyday!

Our first stay our car never moved until we checked out and drove home. Since then we fly and don't get a rental and have never regretted it.

I read this from another thread, so I haven't tried it myself especially as this will be our first time at CBR. But someone said that if they're in a building far out, they drive their car to the front of the resort for breakfast and leave it there for the day. This way they are close to one of the first bus stops. Said other benefit was at the end of night, able to grab refillable mugs from car for a last fill up before they head to room. Also not a long work to room with tired legs.

I did online check in today and wound up choosing second floor and corner room. Don't care which village so didn't request any specific one and don't mind walking to the bus stop either. Now, just 46 days until I'm there!!!!

I'm trying to decide on what kind of room request to make and this post caught my eye. How did you decide on a corner room...does it have a window on two walls instead of one? Just guessing.

Can anyone report on how the fridge recall is going at this resort? The website reports it can take up to 4 months but some of the other resorts are reporting all done with replacing the fridges. Staying first 2 weeks in oct with a infant who is on milk that needs to be stored in a fridge, so we really must have one. Thanks gang.

My decision has nothing to do with windows. I like a corner room as you only have a neighbor on 2 sides versus 3, so it can potentially be a quieter room. I'm a light sleeper so less noise equals better sleep for me.

Same here. We get two rooms when we travel to Disney and we've lucked out and gotten one of them as a corner room each time without even asking. Not only do I like that you don't have someone on one side, but I love having the two windows. To me, it just seems to make the room feel bigger.

How seriously will Disney take me if I make multiple request upon doing online check in.

I'll be requesting Martinique, Bldg. 22, Corner Room, Bottom Floor (Stroller for 2 year old, not taking that down stairs! LOL). I'll be requesting a fridge too if they don't have that handled by that time.

How has everyones request been handled? Do you often get what you ask for?

That is my question too. I would like to get a room facing the water and a standard room as close as I can get to the main pool and on the second floor. Do they let you prioritize when making request or is it better to request just one thing that is most important to you?
