Anyone know how many people are allowed in a king room at CBR? Thinking about booking a BB offer for food and wine fest. Discount is R/O 35% off.
If its 3 in a room we can make it work.
Anyone know about rollaway beds on king rooms ( or double rooms too) ?
Thanks

I just popped over to the WDW site and it shows just 2 is allowed in a king room. I forgot to look to see if you had the 3rd person's age in your signature. If they were 3 or under, it might be allowed.

As far as rollaway beds are concerned, you can pay to have one in the room but they are on a first come/first serve basis and I believe the cost is somewhere around $15 a night.

We sometimes take along our twin air mattress for our teenager to sleep on if we have four in the room. He'd rather sleep on an air mattress than with his grandmother, mother or dad. :rotfl:

***Edited: Dansdad posted that he doesn't think there are rollaways at the CBR anymore. I went over to the allearsnet site and it doesn't say anything about whether or not rollaways are available.

***Edited yet again: I did a Mom's Panel search and, on May 6, 2012, someone specially asked about rollaway beds at the CBR. Mom's Panel answered that they were available so long as you didn't exceed 4 in a room. There is a possibility that the policy has changed from May, 2012 to August, 2013.

Thanks for the info guys! I thought it was a typo with 2 in a king room . Isn't it usually 3 at most other resort king rooms ???

I am pretty sure all of the WDW resort king rooms are max of 2. I know that the moderate and value kings are max of 2. Not sure about the deluxes since some of their standard rooms have a max of 5.

Does anyone know how long around how long it would take to walk from Trinidad South to Old Port Royale at a normal pace?

From the furthest point of Trinidad South, the back corner of Building 39, is just under 9 minutes.

From the closest point, the front point of Building 35, is right at 7 minutes.

Oh! That's not bad at all! I walked 35 minutes to the train every morning! Thank you very much! You have just made my day pirate:

Hi all-

53 days until our first trip to CBR to celebrate my 50th (oops - meant 39th) birthday. First time back to WDW in over 10 years and these boards have been very helpful!

Is it possible to have a celebration cake delivered to our room at CBR? If so, can this be ordered prior to our arrival through either Shutters, a website, or by calling someone?

My DH has the idea to "surprise" me with a cake but I'll need to guide him through the proper channels.

Thanks again!

I suggest you check out the Official Cake Thread which has lots of great info on ordering cakes. Here's the link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2912870

I saw you over on the Discounts thread and the bounceback offer you received. Congrats!

I wish they would come out with February 2014 park hours already! I'm dying to make a tentative plan :(

Does anyone have a update on the fire pit? We were there in early June and it was under construction. Location was in front of Shutters.

I wondered what was being built there. So it's the fire pit? Hopefully, we'll have someone chime in that's there or has been there recently.

Someone posted a day or so ago that they were in the village of Barbados and had connecting rooms. One room had a working fridge and the other had a note that the fridge wasn't working and not to use it.

They are sprinkled throughout the resort. The Pirate themed rooms are the only ones that don't have any kings.

I thought this might be the case. Thanks!!

We have always stayed preferred in Martinque (25-26). This trip I just can't swing it (lucky to even do CBR). I requested Martinque 22 or jamaica 45- am I going to regret it? Has anyone stayed in Martinque standard before?

We stayed in a Martinique standard (corner) room two years ago and it was a little bit of a haul to get to the bus stop (more confusing than difficult) but it was just a little trip to Old Port Royale. But as previously mentioned, we've never had a bad room.

In fact we got the "parking lot View" two years in a row and were absolutely spoiled by the ease of reaching the bus stop!

Yes! I don't know about having it delivered to the room, but we had DS' birthday cake done and we picked it up at Shutters. Our friends then met us a the resort and we had a little bday party in the back of the food court. My DH set it up, he called the # on the Cake Chatter thread. It took a couple of days, but he got a call back from the lady at CBR. Our DS wanted a fairly rare character on his cake, and they made it from the picture DH emailed her. DS was thrilled with it!

We will have our second stay at CBR in October. last time we were in Jamaica building 44 and loved the location. DH requested pirate rooms this time, so that's where we will be. Can anyone request a good building or location that best meets the need to use the bus daily, go to OPR almost daily, and be close to the smoking area.

thanks!
