Car Rental Questions

Perhaps one or some of you is able to help. I have tried posting before but only received one answer so I thought this forum may be a little more helpful. I am planning a trip to Orlando from Feb. 09 - Feb. 26, 2007. I will not be spending all of my time in Disney so although staying onsite a rental is a must. I would like to pick up car/SUV from the airport rather than the car center. My question is this... when I try and get prices/reservations for February 2007 the prices are incredibly high anywhere from $500.00- $700.00. I have never paid this anywhere at anytime. For comparison I ran the same amount of days with the same set-up in May 2006 and the price dropped to between $200.00- $300.00. Wow, what a difference! Am I just looking into rentals too soon? I am sure you guys are a lot more knowledgeable about this than I am and am desperately seeking your input. If I am looking too soon, when do I need to get a reservation by? I mean do they have an ample supply of vehicles or does this kind of work like ADR's? Please help!!

I think you are looking too soon. We're traveling in Nov 06 & I'm not seriously looking yet, probably won't until this summer. None of the real deals are avalible for our dates yet. Can't tell you when exactly to book, wd just check every so often.

Some people were having good success with rates through vacationoutlet.com Also if you belong to Costco, BJs or Sam's Club see what your rates are through them,

Newfie200...You can always reserve a car and continue to check back every so often and when you see a lower price (which you more than likely will) just simply change your reservation. Car rentals do not require a credit card to reserve your car and you can change or cancel your reservation at anytime.
