Oh, those are great photos but a snake!!!! Yuk.

I actually got my camera tonight Digital Rebel XT. I did not get the extra lens but I am thinking I will go back. When going to WDW which lens would you use most?
Also at night for fireworks and then in a show with no flash. I know I am asking a lot. I don't always want to carry two lenses.

Wow, that snake shot is awesome!!!!! I guess I never found the sweet spot because I never really shoot in those ranges.
I just checked the EXIF data to make sure it was in the f8-11 range:
Aperture: f/8.0
ISO: 400
Focal Length: 48mm (guess: 66mm in 35mm)
Exposure Time: 0.2s (1/5)

Holy hand held batman! That's right! 1/5 handheld, and actualy held over my head to get a light reflection in the glass out of the frame. Who needs IS?

This one is outside the sweet spot:
Aperture: f/3.2
ISO: 800
Focal Length: 50mm (guess: 53mm in 35mm)
Exposure Time: 0.05s (1/20)

I am sure I have done some post processing to get to this image.

Congrats on the cam! It can do great things.
WHat is the average distance to the subject of your photos?
What is your budget?

I sold off one hobby to buy two lenses for the next hobby.
I took a canon 28-135mm IS and a canon 70-300mm IS to WDW two months ago. Both over $500 each!

Some need a wider lens than the 28mm but I use the zoom more than the wide end.

Wow... if invoking Holy Batman powers is what it takes with a 1/5th sec exposure hand held - arms extended no less... this is a near miracle to have wrangled a sweet looking image like that.... So is there a Holy Bat Bible I can buy somewhere? Being that I'm new to the Church of Batman I'll probably need the study guide version of the Bat Bible! :goodvibes

w/o being too particular of any other aspect of your images... they look simply spectacular ... especially with the humble 18=55 kit lense!

cheers!
