Canada Entertainment in Epcot

We stopped by the start of Les Parfaits accidentally last week. We physically could not move once DW said "there's a guy with a bag on his head playing the clarinet"...

So we watched for about five minutes as a juggler worked to set up a skit - five minutes of pretending to juggle with various guests (not actually juggling, mind you) until they announced inclement weather was coming. I have no idea what type of trick or joke he was setting up, but for a show that lasts probably 12-15 min tops, he burned up a third of it without a single "ooh", "ahh", or a laugh. Unbelievable...

Logging is a huge part of Canadian industry, it's not something we're ashamed of.
That's fine and understandable. But that lumberjack show was to the Canadian logging industry what the guy in the SpongeBob costume in Times Square is to Broadway theater.

I think it's called Les Parfaits. It was embarrassingly amateurish. It was really bad. That's just my opinion, but.......

I like the idea that they are going to do many more acts with short term runs in the park. It might be because i'm local now but I like the idea that every few weeks or a month, I get something new to check out...

btw, this show sounds right up my alley! I'll let you know when I check it out tomorrow if it actually is my type of performance.. I like way out there artistic performances though :)

Is Off Kilter gone for good? As Great Big Sea fans (similar style of music ), my whole family loved them! I feel like that style of music is so Canadian, I would love to have Off Kilter or somethingsimilar back.

I loved Les Parfaits! I thought they were hilarious. And talented, too. To each his own, I guess.
